If we were to start our brand of music, what name are we going to call it? Asked kollington and Barry said Fuji. Because those who were older than us named their brand of music " Fuji". So the name "Fuji"was copied from their older colleagues who had named their brand of music "Fuji". KWAM1 was correct.

That much was confirmed by Barrister himself in one interview in 1987. It surfaced on the internet some yrs ago.

This is always my grouse with these presenters as they have been prone to twist facts in order to drive home emotional entitlements as regards who created what is already in existence. GKA stated how it all happened: fuji na l'a ma ma pe nitori wi pe awon Agbalagba l'o nko orin fuji. How come SAB and his supporters would keep stressing unfounded postulations that it was SAB that created what already existed as a music genre? Some people urgently require mental therapy. No apologies!

Those guys wanted to crucify Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde for saying that some people were singing Fuji before SAB. GKA had confirmed this in one of his records titled "Back to sender". Ayinla Omowura also mentioned Fuji in some of his records. " Ayinla lo ni Fuji ". And SAB could not claim to have Created Fuji until after Omowura's death.

Kolington is not telling the truth about the Fuji part. All their first records were not Fuji. Awurrebe precedes Fuji.

As at 1975-1977, Awurebe was more popular in my area in Oyo State because my Ajiwere brand of music was Awurebe. However, I think some older guys have been playing Fuji brand in Lagos Island for years before SAB and GKA.

I meant Wasiu, all the artists Wasiu mentioned were not Fuji musicians. Barry acknowledged some of them too as his leader in Ajiwere. Others sing Sakara at the time. The evidence i8 in the record these artists released at the time.
