I can tell Kola was too anxious. He had many different opportunities to end Sonix from what I saw but he hesitated

Sonics small ledge hang hitbox is one of the most infuriating things about fighting him.

I hate not being able to 2 frame such an easy timing. Like he is too far and has magnet hands.

I bet no one would be complaining as much about sonic if there wasn't anyone placing well using him. Probably wouldn't be as many pleading for him to get a redesign.

I mean literally look at early days of Ultimate. Absolutely nobody complained about Sonic because the Sonic mains hadn’t figured him out yet. They only started complaining when the character started being pushed and winning majors. This community needs to grow the fuck up and learn how to get rid of their character biases and spewing hate towards an entire characters playerbase

​@@M0ebius That’s completely subjective. I always love watching very methodical and patient, optimal play from players like Dabuz and Sonix, and I’m not alone. And players are really just trying to win, and will do anything they must to make it happen. Sonix’s efforts in particular were rewarded in the tournament, and people were cheering for him both on-site and in chat.

Sonic should not be able to be just randomly dair-ing and missing homing attacks offstage and still recover dawg I hope next game they nerf the shit out of that character. He just spams invincible moves and gets to skip disadvantage constantly

You have a good point but if you give 64 as an example of less space to complain you are dead wrong. 64 becomes insufferable in some MUs and you adapt as hard as you can to play.

Y’all be hatin on sonix just cause he plays optimally he makes insanely good decisions great capitalizations and coverage/ understanding of scenarios it’s always about him camping they literally both where camping each other. I absolutely love kolas play but this sonix hate is just unwarranted.

I can agree with everything u said, yet I still think sonix is lame asf. Yes it's playing optimally, yes it's good decision making, all that is true. But at the end of the day your still playing like a btch in my opinion. Your playing the fastest character in the game, curl up into an extremely safe ball for 90% of the match, and u still camp. If you wanna win matches like that, good for u, but the people like me that love action and taking initiative in a match will always see sonix as one of the lamest players in smash ultimate to watch.

"Sonic cloud is a better matchup" what??? What the hell is Cloud going to do in this matchup? His movement and frame data are too slow and against Sonix especially an offstage Cloud is a dead Cloud. That Spargo doesn't even bother with Cloud against Sonix anymore should say it all

@@pothos489 the sonic mu is even worse for roy, who’s recovery is even more limited than clouds. Cloud sonic isn’t a great matchup but definitely more options than Roy. Also I assume spargo uses aegis against sonix cuz he has a nasty aegis, but I don’t think Kola has a trustworthy enough aegis
