Riddles terry is on leo joker tier

Crackshoot covers distance quickly and safely. Power Wave forces Sonix to make decisions out of Spindash even if he's not ready yet, and prevents Sonix just standing still. Buster Wolf punishes Sonix for following his gameplan and getting a lead then backing off. Terry answered every problem Riddles was struggling with with Kazuya. The fact that Riddles was able to recognize that, make the swap, and instantly play to those advantages, is absolutely insane. One of the hardest 180s this game has ever seen and a well-deserved win for Riddles.

I watched this live and it's one of my favorite sets I've ever seen. All the upsets, crazy comebacks, and Skyjay making his crazy run combined makes Collision 2023 my favorite tournament ever.

One of the best reverse 3-0s I’ve seen in Ult, up there with EVO 2019 Grands. Love to see that Riddles Terry still got it aswell!

This was a vindicating moment, tired of mfs saying riddles is carried by kazuya like he wasn’t a contender before that

I hate those people. Then again, this is the fucking smash community we’re talking about lmao. He’s legitimately one of the hardest characters in the game to pick up and play, and has the overall highest skill ceiling. They’re just too afraid of inputs that actually require some skill in order to perform consistently I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

Having been watching Riddles since he picked up Kazuya, I think Riddles has become more composed and contained in game, imo a huge buff to mentality and just seeing the situations clearer. Great growth!

Riddles really have the ability to concentrate to the win. Gathering his will to win and making it happen. It's great to watch every time.

Absolutely shocking comeback. The Terry is so hype.

Terry is by far one of the most entertaining characters to watch, the animations are clean the moveset is dynamic and Buster Wolf is so hype.

The end of this set is one of the biggest reasons why sonix will never not be hated by almost everyone in the community. His playstyle isn't fun, it's boring and a farce to watch. He gets beat legitimately and he behaves like he just got timed out.

Seeing Coney's disbelief during the stream was crazy. Best set this tourney

I like the way Riddles approaches competition. From his pop-off, I can imagine he practices stoically on a daily basis!

This is just one of the sets that makes collision 2023 one of my favorite ult tourneys in years

This giving me flashbacks to CEO 2022 when sonix reversed winner's side Riddles from 2-0 in grands to win a game 10 final hit except this time it's reversed

Bro having the commentary desk right behind the players is sick. Seeing haz react to riddles was cool

Besides Skyjay’s top 8 run with Incineroar, I feel this match was the best in terms of entertainment of Collision 2023. Could be my bias talking but the pure adaption reverse 3-0 and against his bracket demon of all people.. it’s been a long time coming 👍

Reverse 3-0 against your worst match up always hype AF.

This was one of my favorite sets of all time. Both players were amazing and played better than we have ever seen them play before. Two gamers on the rise to their peaks.

Riddles's Terry went from a main to a secondary to a pocket. Hopefully after this he puts a little more faith into him. I honestly think he should pull Roy back out as well. Having two top-tiers you can turn to in necessary situations is always good.

Homing attack to bair has become a somewhat predictable setup to players familiar with the mu, so sonix instead opted to go for an airdodge punish, which he misspaced and died for it. I mean, i'm pretty sure he could frame trap him after going for the bair anyway so you're not wrong, moreso just saying I get why he didn't

I get that sonic is an annoying character, and not the most fun to watch..but I’ve never understood the hate for sonix. He’s a phenomenal smash player. He deserves that much respect atleast. Awesome comeback for riddles though! That was amazing to watch.

No one doubts how good he is I mean he is the reason we found out sonic was broken. But it’s just the way he plays. If anything the last game of the set shows that. He decided to play even more passively, which basically gave riddles the ability to put on more pressure with power wave and shutting down all his options.

This is how Masahiro Sakurai thought every Kazuya was gonna go because of his speed, and so he gave him huge damage by default. And then also gave him back-throw. And then full invincibility in half of his moveset. And then fucking full invincibility on F-Smash. ...AND THEN A COMEBACK MECHANIC.

I think that was because he realized that had he comitted to the homing attack bair he would've won. He was about to win and lost because he made a bad call and got punished for it

Yo no soy hater de Sonix, pero esto es lo que pasa cuando eres un jugador de un solo personaje, el rival ya termina conociendo como juegas con el y te termina tomando la medida, cuando Riddles se vio completamente superado en el comienzo terminó cambiando de personaje y los resultados terminaron siendo positivos por qué Sonic no pudo neutralizar a Terry de forma fácil como lo fue en el comienzo contra Kazuya, el Terry de Riddles terminó ganando sus primeros 2 asaltos y al final los acertijos termina dando cátedra en el combate final de una forma fantástica y dándole una lección de humildad a Sonix que la variedad de personajes es buena, una de las mejores remontadas que he visto y la variedad de Riddles termino triunfando.

Good catch. I didn't even register that he was using it how, say, Ryu uses Hadouken in actual Street Fighter. It's cool; with the freer movement of platform fighters, you don't usually see that specific kind of zoning. Just happens that this matchup's really conducive to it :)
