    We have had our 10’x14’ Kodiak tent for 7 years now. We have spent 46 nights out in the woods and a few of those nights out in the desert. This tent is an absolute palace when camping. I spent one night out in an absolute downpour which lasted for several hours and did not get even one drop of water inside. I highly recommend getting this tent, it’s worth every dime.

    Thanks for the reminder of how to fold this tent back up. I love my tent and it tends to go up for a month at a time for Renaissance Faires - it's really nice to have the space of a small bedroom when working a faire setup a table, chair, cot then a rug spread across the interior to catch all the grass that gets tracked in and keep it cleaner for when things need to get packed up.

    Thanks for your sharing of the Kodiak Flex 10x14 and the Mr Buddy. I have had the tent for 3 years now and love it. I have added the Mr Buddy for this year 4 week Archery Elk, fishing and buck deer rifle in Eastern Oregon. Your Mr Buddy video was very informative and helpful

    Thanks michaelmoore7986! We have considered the vestibule, but never pulled the trigger on it yet. The Mr. Buddy will be a nice addition for you! We aren’t far from eastern Oregon, there are some great places over there. Have a great time!

    Good pointers on tarp ... happened to us once and we learned to tuck it under. I always use a rubber hammer/mallet for the ground stakes. Also cause I once hit it with a hammer and damaged the material.

    Thanks for the video brother. I’m looking at this or the 10x10 for my family of 4 and we have a lab so maybe the 10x10 would be a little small. Have you had a hard time finding camp sites for the larger 10x14? That’s the only thing I’m worried about.

  • @SweetLifeAdventures

    I would go 10x14. My dad has the 10x10 and I think that would be too small for your group. We haven’t had issues with camp spots, but we mainly do dispersed camping. Best of luck.

    Thanks for this Video and for sharing the sleeping arrangement! I have a family of 5 and was wondering what would work best. I plan on eventually investing in Coleman bunk-bed cots to save on room but with a 10x14 that may not be necessary. Have you ever put a tape measure to it? I'm curious how close it actually is to 10x14. I have spent "months" designing a camping trailer around this 10x14 tent (been in my amazon "save for later" list for months) with a pop-up platform that measures 10'-2" x 14'-2". I planned on having this tent on the platform above and a kitchen/shower/shade under the platform. Just curios how it actually measures before I purchase the tent.

    Shoot, I have never actually measured it. Sadly ours may be packed up for the year, as we don’t have any winter camping plans this year. Best of luck!

    I am very interested in this tent but super concerned about the mold and mildew horror stories. have you ever had it in multiple days of wet weather and had to pack it up wet until you got home? nice video by the way!! thanks

  • @SweetLifeAdventures

    I have packed it up wet, but made sure to let it dry out at home as soon as possible. One time I had to set it up in my backyard for like 4 days because it wouldn’t stop raining at home either. One of the only downfalls of canvas. Definitely worth it though.

    Hi! Does this tent have a small zipper or something where one can bring in the hose if using larger propane tank from outside of tent.

  • @SweetLifeAdventures

    @SweetLifeAdventures

    The doors have a bottom zipper and a top/side zipper. I just run the line out the door and zip it closed around it.

    What is the best sequence for staking the tent?? I’ve found a lot of times my tent doesn’t lay flat and edges raise up and I have to try re-staking while the tent up so the bottom edges of the tent lay flat. Thanks

  • @SweetLifeAdventures

    @SweetLifeAdventures

    We have found not pulling the edges tight when staking works just fine. Stake them in as they lay with little tension is best, otherwise it will raise as you said. Best of luck.

    Hey dude you have had that tent 5 years so I got a question have you ever been in a real good rainstorm where you got 2 inches of rain overnight or over a period of time of at least 12 hours or . And if you have did it leak

  • @SweetLifeAdventures

    @SweetLifeAdventures

    9 ай бұрын

    Yes, in Yellowstone this happened. No leaks but condensation on the 2nd and 3rd day formed inside.

    How noisy is the tent in high winds? I’m in Texas and the wind keeps me awake all night in a nylon tent.

  • @SweetLifeAdventures

    @SweetLifeAdventures

    Significantly quieter than nylon. The canvas is pulled extremely tight and it’s soft, so minimal noise. Might hear the zipper pulls a bit.

    after a storm how long do you let it dry out?

  • @SweetLifeAdventures

    @SweetLifeAdventures

    2 ай бұрын

    These tents don’t take terribly long to dry out. I just leave it out until every side of the tents material is dry to the touch. A heater buddy running inside will speed this process up. No specific timeframe just feel the material.
