Kobe Bryant, LeBron James
SUPER-DUEL Full Highlights (Rare)
LA Lakers vs Cleveland Cavaliers
February 13, 2005
Gund Arena
KB - 26 pts, 6a, 4r, 2s / 7-22 fg, 1-4 3pt, 11-11 ft
LJ - 25 pts, 9a, 8r, 3s / 8-20 fg, 0-0 3pt, 9-10 ft
During the 2003-04 season, Kobe faced rookie LeBron for the first time in January. Kobe was forced to exit early due to an ailing shoulder caused by a defender who gambled on one of his classic pump fakes. He did not play in the Lakers’ February road visit to Cleveland.
The Lakers and Cavs met at Staples one month prior to this (2005) mid-February matchup. January 13th saw Kobe sprain his ankle 6 minutes in. James dominated, posting 28 points, 13 boards and 9 assists en route to the win. Kobe’s injury sidelined him for LA’s next 14 games. He was made available to play for this highly anticipated, nationally televised visit to Cleveland against 2nd year LeBron and his playoff hopeful Cavaliers.

Kobe being injured for 3 out 4 of Lebron's first match ups was truly disappointing. Hell, even that 1 game in 05-06 where he hit the 3 go-ahead shots, he got injured that game too.
