2003 WCR1 Game 6, May 1, 2003 | The Lakers aim to win their third consecutive game of the series and close out the Timberwolves at home to set the stage for a showdown with the Spurs in the second round. Kobe leads the way again for LA, scoring 30+ points for the 5th time in the 6 game series. After shooting just .378% from the floor over the first four games of the series, Kobe follows up an efficient 12-for-21 game 5 with a 14/26 close-out game 6. Bean erupted in the 4th, making 6 straight shots to start the quarter and totaling 14 points on 7/10 shooting, further putting the game out of reach and ending Minnesota's season.

The narrative that Kobe didn't pass was pure bullshit. He was an excellent passer when he wanted to be. He could've easily averaged 8+ assists the way he was attacking and drawing the defense in. We saw that in '13. THIS Kobe was him at his athletic peak before the knee surgeries started coming and his skill set was reaching mastery levels. I'll take this Kobe over anybody in the league right now.
