What I think it means is that most parents will walk throw fire for their children. Esp a mother. That's why the ball players..look at the camera..and say ..'HI MOM'. I had sorry parents. But most people have parents..who they can trust..esp in comparison to non family members. Not saying most are easy to love...this system is set up to cause stress and failure. But most do the best they can. I know I did..even though trama from childhood..affected my parenting skills...and a bad marriage...i always told my children..i will be there for them. It is sometimes hard to love..on both sides..but no one asks to be born. Everyone just have to play the cards..that life deals...

Yes, but they can't truly betray you. Betrayal comes through those who are closest to you, that you trust. Typically an enemy is not close to you. Problem is in today's culture is that many people fail to understand the difference btw acquaintances and friends. If one thinks they have over 10 friends, they don't know the difference.

10? If one has 3 true friends they have many. There are many that believe some are friends and it's the exact opposite, narcissist are examples. @@Red-vn4xq Well, there is a difference btw "True friends" and "friends". I have a number of people in my life that I'm their "best friend" and they aren't my "best friend". They can always count on me, but they aren't as reliable but they are still "friends", I just know who I can count on. Then there are people I'm friendly with and if I had a party, they'd be invited to, but I wouldn't share anything of true importance with. It's a friendship circle. If one has a business, one learns to cultivate many different types of relationships. I remember at my 21st birthday party, I had 300 people who came to my party. I actually "knew" all of these people, but they weren't "dear friends" but enough to be invited to a party.

@@Red-vn4xq Thanks for your reply. My main point is that in the previous generations most people understood that there was a certain designations on the concept of friendship. So, there were people one would have different levels of intimacy. In today's world, the concept of acquaintances is not understood, often people think that people they work with are "friends". Typically if one leaves a particular position, the "friendship" after a period of time will fade away. The common interest-the shared working environment- no longer exists.

Years ago, I put together my Readers Digest quote, just in case: When I was fifteen, I looked forward to sixteen, the year I'd be old enough to drive. It was wisdom I sought. Upon arriving at my sixteenth year, I was sorely disappointed to discover wisdom was not yet mine. Not undaunted, I again looked ahead. This time, to my eighteenth birthday. The age at which I could be called to defend my country and give my all, as a man. Surely that was when wisdom would be mine. Again, I met disappointment. But I held firmly to that I had merely been mistaken on the timing when wisdom would be mine. I, reasonably, chose twenty-one. After all, in law, and other ways, it was said that was the age at which I'd reached maturity, and I'd be established as an adult. Sadly, I came to be twenty-one and, was, yet again, sorely disappointed. In desperation, I came to rest my hopes on the age of twenty-four. The age at which my insurance rates dropped. Suffice it to say, I've reached my final conclusion: There are many eighty year old kids running around this world today. Kelly Craig

Many great lessons. Personnally I strongly disagree with "forgiving = healing." Forgiving is atroceously overrated in our cultures and we need to relearn that not-forgiving and accepting that others might not want to forgive those who hurt them is often important. By expecting others to forgive, we involontarily blame people for the hurt that was done to them or make them responsible for the consequences of what they were victim of. Think of disrespect, condescension and insults. Having someone disrespect you or talk to you with condescension can be exhausting and can strongly alter your behaviour, even more so when the perpetrator does it on purpose. At family gatherings for example, if you allow someone to be an asshole to another person and expect the other to "understand" to "cope with it" you allow an asshole to feel comfortable and happy and to steal happiness from his victim. And at the same time, the target will grow resentful, distant and susceptible and will be judge by everybody according to his attitude. The victim is deprived of being considered carefree, enthusiastic, positive etc... people will perceive them as withdrawn and moody, when the reason why they are that way is right in front of everybody's eyes. So, forgiveness... no. Forgiveness as opposed to revenge, ok, but not as a synonym of "shut up and cope" and certainly not as the main road to "healing." Absolutely not. The biggest part of healing is having everybody acknowledge what happened to you, who did it to you, and why. What heals the most is the victory of truth.

All thoughts are correct! If you apply them to your own life, since high school, there were first best friends who turned into bitter enemies towards the end of their studies. Then already in adulthood met on my way women in whom I was very much mistaken, although I have a high degree of intuition as the heroine of the series "Anna. Medium." I see people through photos and their speeches. Just when you meet great "actresses", you may not guess that in fact in front of you wolves in the skin of sheep .... In my case, the last true love and passion I feel for a person is the only small joy that allows me to hope for the best and that the prophetic dreams of a fabulous future are still in force)! 💘

I'm 45, and I either know, or agree with 99% of these quotes, a couple of them didn't really seat right with me. Anyhow, I don't think this allows me to cheat at anything, I'd rather say that to reach this point I had to go through a lot of fkd up shit, and like one of the quotes states, it's the hard lessons that teach you the most, that make you strong, give you thick skin, which allows you to go through the next battle with better armour, and a better chance to win.

7:52 or spite us, if we're in a bad mood. your mood influences your perception. i feel depressed and a tad angry (best way i can describe it), as i write this. anything i want, and earn without working for it, i'd accept it begrudgingly - or get angry. 17:30-17:38 wisest one i've ever heard.

These wise notes propelled me to add this of my own - If it is of the mind, it would be, or had been engaging, If it is ironic, sarcastic or a humorous distraction It is a blip, of insanity that leads to paranoias, causing offence or worse..? And all philosophies can be encumbered & used by good & evil... ?
