You nailed this. You played it exactly the way Sam laid it out. I haven't been playing long myself. About three years but I've grown to love it. It started off as a way to kind of heal my brain and grew from there. I've been part of SBL for about a year now because I had no where else to go but Damn bro, you're good! You're good bro!

Gotcha! Well it’s a two bar phrase that repeats then goes up a half step and is changed a bit. So you really only have to learn two sections. Breaking it into those smaller chunks and going slow should help. Once you have the two parts down separately try putting them together.

Also it’s the rhythm not the notes that is the hard part so maybe try tapping it out on your desk till you have the rhythm internalized for the smaller sections then pick up your bass.

that tabs and what youre playing dont line up, in the second bar when you go to the 8th fret in the tab youre playing the 13 on the E not 8 on the A

Good catch! Ya that’s a typo. That 8 should be 13 on the e string for that f natural.
