Knocked Knee Correction! It really works!

Yoga is MUCH more than a way to sculpt our bodies. However, the yoga asana practice can do incredible things to realign your skeleton. I was told that I would never be able to stand with my feet together because of my knocked knees, but a year later my body tells a different story. Here is the sequence I used to build integrity around my hips and knees.

    I can’t say for this workout (since I haven’t tried it yet, going to try it though) but I can say that exercising the legs can indeed fix knock knees, maybe not completely but it gets a bit better. I had terrible looking knocked knees 3 years ago before I started seriously working out, I couldn’t even put my feet together without my knees hitting each other, but after working out for awhile I’ve noticed my legs looked better (even compared to my before pictures) and I could put my feet together without bending my legs! Don’t give up! I know you can reach your goals!

    @@Sarah-rw7ky I wasn’t having a steady routine back then so I can’t really say exactly how long but maybe about half a year? Somewhat like that. But I still kept exercising whenever I had the time.

    Thank you for sharing, I spoke to 4 doctors all saying that its a bone deformity and I would never be able to correct it without surgery but could make it less painful with different exercises but in those pictures it looks like the bones moved quite a bit. Thank you.

    Its the first thing i notice about people. What you have do todo fix it is doing the opposite. Lay on your side and raise your leg. Till you fell the burn in your muscles, Than do it 2-3-4-5times and pause it. Do that 2 more times.

    Yep thats a great exercise for knock knees! I teach yoga so i take a full body approach. Stretching and strengthening the WHOLE body. When you do this you don't lose the the progress you made and hurt other joints by working on only one area of the body.

    mine looks like yours did, i have osteo arthritis though, would this work with these type of knee as well? I am planning on surgery for the knee as well , but rather opt for this way instead to correct the knock -ness.

    The internal rotation movement(with the band on) - appears like reinforcing knock knees. Can you explain plz? Thank you.

    Yes absolutely, by using a resistance band you are able to engage the muscles of the inner thighs and glutes by working against the band to keep your knees apart, otherwise it's very tricky to target those muscles. Externally rotating the thighs while fighting the resistance of the band gives you the strength to realign your legs and activate muscles that are not normally engaged due to misalignment.

    Many children have knock knees at a young age but grow out of it. I would recommend bringing this to your doctor's attention and asking their opinion on treatment before doing anything else.

    You are either an orthopedic surgeon or you fixed your legs with painful surgery and you don't wanna believe that it could be fixed with excercises bc if you believed so you will regret that you had surgery😁

    Each case is different and I am aware that in many cases knee valgus can only be completely "fixed" through surgery. But there are ways to stretch and strengthen even severe cases though your legs will never be completely straight your body will be in more supportive alignment.
