Yay, thank you!
Hi , I can see your lovely knitting area and it looks so organized/fun to be in. I am enjoying your videos. Thank you.
If you have not yet decided on a brioche shawl, look at Leela Frankcombe patterns. They’re very well written, easy to follow, and have both charts and written instructions. I’ve knit several of hers and my wife loved each one.

Thanks for sharing! I will be sure to check her out!
First time watching, and I loved it! I think it's ao interesting that you love Caitlin Hunter patterns, and I always have problems with her yokes not fitting right. I have always had to modify as they way she writes the yoke patterns is always too deep of a yoke for me. Anyway, great podcast, and I look forward to watching more!

Ooh. Just found you. I'm at the same point in my Sipila as you are in your misurina! ... I have the yarn for ranunculus no 4 ... and I'm trying to get gauge for my Misurina 😂. I'll have a look at the rest of your interesting channel. Hello from rainy southern England. 😊

Hello from Paris! Avoine means oats in French. Ranunculus is one of my favorite model, I just ordered skeins of merino+ linen to knit #5

Thanks so much for clearing that up for me. Thanks for watching all the way from Paris! One of my most favorite places in the world!
Thank you for this video, loved your projects and the golden ranunculus colour is glorious! I am curious what color work are you going to do since it's already a rich pattern

Can't wait to show you. I am just making up a subtle color work as I go along.
When you showed the Halibut pattern last Knitcast, I went and bought it straightaway! I want to knit it for my partner Tom, who loves to fish (though just catch & release nowadays.) I was thinking that it would be ok fit-wise for him if I pay attention to making the upper sleeve circumference right for him. Hope so! I’m wondering about the mock neck- he may not like how it feels- having knit this part, do you think it would lend itself to being folded double & stitched if it turns out he didn’t like it so high? Or should I err on the side of caution and just make a regular type collar? Thanks for any tips 🤗 Susan

First, I love that you stuck around to watch my videos. That means a lot. I love sharing things I am inspired by in order to inspire others so thank you for sharing. Second, I just tried my halibut sweater on again to see if that mock neck would fold and it doesn't, so I would suggest doing a turtle neck or re-casting on for a crew neck line. I think she both measurements listed in the pattern! Thanks for stopping by! Let me know how it turns out!
That Halibut is gonna be sooo nice! I'm doing a color work sweater and I was a few rows in and notices that when I hold one color in each hand I wrap different FOR each hand. I wra over in one and under in the other. You were saying about learning things about yourself. How do you hold your yarn for colorwork?

I use a knitting thimble finger ring. I do have to weave the two yarns differently between my fingers on that hand but it does help me keep tension and keep my yarns separate.
Ok...I got some more info on how you make the ranunculus...so if you don't gauge/swatch, how do you determine the stitch count and size to make?

A fellow knitter commented a while ago and it made me think that this is exactly what I do. It's a little scary but we knit the yoke and based on the yoke we determine if we need to go a bit smaller or a bit bigger. I have switched my needle size in the past. I also just knit as long as I need to in order to get the right fit. This is the only pattern where I have thrown my hands in the air and have just let go. I am telling ya, it just works itself out for me.
Coming to Austin next month for son's graduation. I love Hill country Weavers. Do you have another recommendation for your area?

Do you put your sweater notes on Ravelry? If so, how can I find you?
