Quality - 7.0
These are very nice speakers, for the price. The woofers, binding posts and the horns/waveguides are all nice quality. The cabinets seem to be nice and sturdy.
The areas where I think the Synergy lineup is lacking in quality, at least to me, is the plastic cabinets with the center and the surrounds but I can also see why some people might like this feature.
Very good quality, for their price point. The Klipsch Synergy lineup is about right in line with the Polk Monitor series.
Sound - 8.5
Full disclosure, these are a tad on the bright side. There, I said it..
They are also lacking in the mid-bass but other than those gripes, this is a dynamic and good sounding speaker set. They do require a bit more tweaking though, to get the sound I like though.
MSRP Rating - 9
This set would have competed against the Polk Monitor series, at the time of release.
The fact that the average consumer could walk into a Best Buy or Circuit City and walk out with 7 Klipsch speakers for around $1,200 is nuts. These were a very solid value proposition, at the time of release.
Aesthetics - 7.5
Full disclosure, I’ve always liked more modern looking speakers. These speakers look nice and modern, and would blend well with a more modern Devore.
The woofer, port and tweeter trims are all great looking, against the black cabinets.
Good looking speakers, especially considering the prices.
Price Paid Value - 9.0
Picking up 7 Klipsch speakers, even entry level, is one amazing deal. This was even a better deal than the Polk Monitor set that I grabbed, for $300.
Excellent deal, so good in fact, that they were long some before I even type this out.

Love your channel , I'm 63 and I have helped my sons in their audio journey. When my youngest son Matt was 16 he wanted a stereo his mother had a sony from a htib system that was all dusty. She said no when he asked if he could use it. So I went on Ebay and bought him a Denon AVR 2800 reciever and a pair of Polk RTi 25 bookshelf speakers. He was so happy. Recently we upgraded his receiver, the Denon died. Found him a Yamaha Aventage 2080 for $210, $1200 msrp. He bought that then I found a pair of Klipsch F2 towers for $100 on marketplace. Those i bought for him for his 22nd birthday. Thats my klipsch story. Keep up the good work

Now that’s the type of feedback I’m looking for! That’s an excellent receiver, I’ve always been a big fan of the Yamaha AVENTAGE lineup. I bet that beastly receiver powers those F2’s with no issues. Thank you for sharing, my friend!

@@blazermdx if you ever come across Infinity Interlude speakers try and pick up a pair. The Interlude Il10s are very capable and musical speakers. My system consists of IL50 towers, with 250 watt 10" sub. IL10 bookshelf speakers and IL25C center. Driven by a Carver AV 705x amplifier and a Marantz av7005 pre-processor. I've owned these speakers for 19years and have no desire to replace them. Check out Steve Gutenberg's review of the IL10s, they are still available used on Ebay for about $100. My Carver and Marantz were used on Ebay.

Man does that bring back memories. That line was my 1st real home theater set up. Had F1, C2 and 2 pairs of the S2's. I loved how they sounded for the price. I have went way down the rabbit hole of home theater since getting rid of them. They will always hold of place in my heart. More towers need to be front ported, can slam them against the wall with zero problems.

I just bought a pair of the F2 towers yesterday. Had to drive 100km both ways to get them. For around $180aussie dollary doos from an audiophile. In immaculate condition. No joke. They look brand new. And the sound is phenomenal. I have them for movie watching and paired them with 2 pb1000 pros. OMG. Incredible detail and clarity on the high end. Has totally transformed my setup.

Yeah, if owned tons of the original Klipsch Reference speakers o liver the years, like the RF-3’s, RF-62’s, RB-61’s etc. Klipsch Reference and Reference Premier speakers are definitely a couple notches above the Synergy lineup and the new Reference models but they still present a very good value proposition. Thanks for stopping by!

The RB-81 were some of my dream speakers, when I was younger. I ended up getting a pair about 10 years ago but I didn’t end up keeping them very long. They were a rad too hot, when it came to the high frequencies. I think Klipsch should make a 8” Reference Premiere bookshelf and matching center. The Premier Series II are a bit more rolled off up top and more balanced. Thank you for the feedback!

It seems the word got back to Klipsch, on what the forum members have been saying for years, that Klipsch speakers sound bright. Unjustified criticism, much of the time in my humble opinion. I think the Reference Premier is where Klipsch really rolled off some of the upper end. I can’t wait to get my hands on some References Premier II’s! Although, o would have loved to seen a 8” bookshelf and 8” center released, even in limited quantities. Thanks again for the channel activity, my man!

They definitely leave quite a bit to be desired but they’re actually not bad for the money. You really do need to spend time dialing them in and taming the high frequencies. But they are pretty darn good for the money, especially when compared to their competitors at the time.
