@@TechnoDad Hei. Can i ask where did u get those arm stands for this speaker?
I have upgraded my RP-250C to the RP-45C and you where right. Although the 250 isn't a bad speaker, together with the RP-280F this is a huge difference. Thank you for this video. This confinced me to upgrade and boy am I happy I did👍🏻.

Techno Dad Thank you, but I live in the Netherlands Europe. The 450c sells for 425 dollar here. I love watching your video's keep up posting!
I've been thinking about upgrading ever since I got my RP250C, not that it doesn't sound good but I felt the same way like it lacks output and drowns a bit when my RP280FS are on. Glad I kept my box for my RP250C so I can put it up for sale on ebay and use that money with some extra cash and get the RP450C. love what you are doing with your set up man. automatic thumbs up!

Good job on explaining the different crossover points because I have this model and I was lookin inside thru the port and each speaker looks different magnet wise
I literally just canceled my rp250c and reordered the 450c because I plan on getting the 280f in a few weeks. I'm glad I watched this video thanks alot. 450c $399 and pair of 280f $798.
i've got the rp450c my sister just come round and said wow is that speaker big enough lol. its an awesome sounding speaker nice amount of bass to. im so glad i didn't get the rp250c now.

HIBOOST Hi! Thanks so much!
Just bought one of these along with 2 RP-280s!
I do believe they used the 2.5 way design to avoid the comb filtering that would be caused by the outer woofers playing anything above 500Hz since they are far enough apart. The wavelength of 500Hz is 27inch, and that's about how far apart those woofers are, if they played anything higher they would comb filter :) Also the way it is described in this video is a 3 way design. I believe the middle woofers handle all the frequencies that the outer ones do (58-1500) and the outer ones have an additional crossover circuit for 58-500.
Love how the set up is coming along, good job man!

Thanks for the info!...I honesty didnt even look into this particular center speaker because it just looked too big but after you explained the 2 and half way crossovers I'm now intrigued!...lol!!...its definitely time for a new center speaker for me as when I use odyssey on my denon avr it auto sets the center speaker crossover at 200!...yeah!! 200..lol!! I knew I had budget speakers but I didnt realize how cheap they were until I got my denon avr...lol!!
It really does have some lungs! the dynamic depth of the center is extremely impressive. Klipsch engineered this center like a horizontal tower.

+davo Thanks!
Found this speaker a few days ago and am trying to solve how to set it up on my current tv stand (thinking a tabletop VESA mount is the best bet outside of just buying a brand new stand). I'm in the same boat you were where my front left and right speakers are drowning out my center speaker and this should more than make up for that and get my front sound stage on the same frequency level.
I’m sure you’ve resolved this issue by now but your Denon has almost no ventilation due to that glass shelf. Risk of internal damage is high especially when driven to high volumes for extended periods. Love your videos tho. Very informative and enthusiastic. Keep it up!!!
Hey great video man, thank you very much for all your information. What's your take on the Klipsch r-34c Center Channel? (which I am thinking of getting) I have the Marantz SR-6013 av receiver and Polk Audio RTiA9 main speakers...at the moment I am also using the oleskool Bose acoustimass 10 for surround sound. I am starting slowly and working my way up. Thanks for any help.... love your channel keep up the good work.
Love your channel and vibe! Starting up my own home theatre and picked up the 450c as my center. What do you think about using this speaker as a Left/Right speaker as well? I can basically purchase two 450c's for the price of a pair of rp-600m's. Cheers!!
I love the 450c! Can never have too much center ch!

Big and HEAVY... Very satisfied with mine. Set my crossover at 60hz.
Hello, nice video and very informative as always. I just purchased these badboy and still waiting to be delivered at my house. Anyways, im replacing my Klipsch R-34C. I feel like its undersize and lacks midrange. I hope my new RP-450C will blend well with my reference line up speakers. R-610F for LR and R-14M for surrounds. what do u think? did I just give myself a headache? Thank you.
I upgraded my whole system from the Klipsch Reference line to Reference Premier including this RP-450C center channel. Previously i owned a small R-25C center channel then got this large one. The difference was big in price and size as well, but sonically... well it's not a day and night IMO. The bigger center channel plays more smooth and pleasant for sure. It's an more effortless presentation of voices and effects, but not as bigger in sound as you might expect. Don't get me wrong i didn't regret the upgrade since love my RF-280Fs (and RP-450C as well) but the smaller Klipsch could go loud as well. So if you are thinking about upgrade, you will pay for quality, more detail and refinement with these, not for an earthshaking sound.

Hey Techno Dad. I just received my 504 center channel in Piano Black. I love the look. I also have the RP 280f and they are set to large in my system, but what should I set the 504 frequency too? Thank you.
Hey T-Dad, which one would be better between the RP600C and RP404C? Better to have two bigger 6" drivers or its better to have for 4" drivers? Thanks!
I still have my klipsch quintet ii center channel speaker. Just ordered the 450c, my klipsch bookshelf speaker simply drowns out the quintet ii center 😫
Looking to recess this speaker into a wall. Would there be any issues with this?
So for a more buget friendly system go with RP-260f and RP-250c?
Hi there!! Just purchased a RP 504c to go with my R 820Fs, upgrading from a RP 400c, had to keep cracking it 2 to 3 db's, didn't like that at all.
We will get to it right after the jump (2 milliseconds pass) and I'm back!
Im looking to upgrade my center and front left and right speakers with RP 450c and PR 600M. Is that a good match? Thanks
Hey I came across your channel love it. I'm going to buy this speaker. Is it possible that a centre channel to big can drown the rest of the speakers. I have the original klipsch dual 8 inch towers and and sides and rears . I just feel like I need a center channel upgrade. Do you think u should go for it??
The size of this is huge. I just cant accommodate with my setup, but it looks awesome.
Hi TD, setting-up my entry level HT for my small living room -- can i pair R-41M and R-51M for my front L&R and Surround? Thank you!
Can u plz add a playing demo also
Love that part #8:16 😂 I guess we're all in the same situation in this department 😀
Ok I am going to be in a similar situation. I am about to buy the r820f and I am wondering your advice on either getting r34c or the r52c. And a 10in or 12in sub.

Hi techno, after your suggestion I have booked Denon avrx 2600h. And I have decided to buy Polk signature series S60... is it ok to go for these speakers?????
I'm upgrading from the RC 62 to the to 450c, do you think that's a good upgrade?
Hi Tecno Dad, other than the r500c which center speakers would go well with the RP-5000?
Hello techno dad, aside from subs, which one do you think is better for home theater, svs speakers or klipsch?.
I have a klipsch icon center. What are you doing with your rp 250c ???? That would be a hell of an upgrade for me. Cut me a good deal on it? Lol
Hey techno dad how are you? Love the channel! Do you still have this speaker as your center channel speaker? I want to pick this one up do you still recommend it?
Glad I went ahead and got the 450c instead of the 500c but it's only going with my 600m. Hopefully it will blend well enough.

Hello Techno Dad... I'm pretty new in all this home theater stuff... I just got myself the.. Marantz SR5013 Klipsch RP-640D (CENTER) Klipsch RP-240D (FRONTS) Klipsch RP-140D (REAR & ATMOS) Klipsch R-10SWi (SUB) I'm just wondering what do you recommend for speaker wiring? Do you think its a good system to begin with? TIA.
Hey channel has lots of information. Love it. I have got a set of klipsch 280 and recently got a 450c ...... I am having problems getting a clear sound out of it with my normal settings. Hey what do you think about Klipsch r-820f speakers
Late question. The RP 450C is on sale now for $349. Would you recommend this to pair with my KLH Kendall towers for a 3.1 system? Seems like a great deal as I need a center to complete my system. Thx
I actually got the same setup as you. rp-280f, rp-250c and I found out that I had to lower the 280 to about -3 db. The center about + 3. The center was finally becoming a center after that change. But I am tempted on that 450c though lol

I have a room that is 30ft long x 20ft wide with ceilings 12ft high. I have a Klipsch RP504C center speaker and 4 Klipsch RP600M bookshelf speakers. With all these speakers they have so many woofers in them. My question should I get the Klipsch R12SW sub woofer to this system, or am I ok with what I have? Also is the Sony STR-D1080 a good receiver for these speakers.Thanks.

Hi Mike! I got them from Amazon - amzn.to/3pxCLiB
One of the biggest changes you can make change the speaker positioning to the back wall. You've got those stairs behind your setup, which will reduce the overall bass (1ft = deep, boomy base, 2" will be tight, but reduced). You think the 450 paired with RP-160m will be too much center? I've also got a 10" Klipsch sub.
@TechnoDad
7 жыл бұрын
+Ho Lee Phuk Hi! It could be too much center. I had the smaller one, the 250C and when I got the 280Fs, I didn't have enough center, so then I got the 450C. Ball was good after that purchase.
Is there any issue in having the speakers on the glass table? Like shattering noises etc?
Great video. I think you should move the center, so its sticking out at least an inch from the edge of the tv stand. To get rid of potentially "boxy" sound..

yup... center and a good sub handles 80 percent of the sound... put your money to these first. great mains are next on the list unless 2 channel music is your priority. I have my own home theater company here in north Georgia and really like your chilled approach to electronic gear. relaxed and fun... the way it should be.
I cannot download the DJ mixes, the link is broken.
Klipsch 404 C or 504 What is the Best?
I've got the RP260Fs with the RP250c. And I think the centre is being over powered by these as well. I've got it cranked up a couple of extra DBs to compensate, but it could go higher.

If you can find the RP-450C for less go for that as it's exactly the same as the RP-450CA. I do think the CA has a different veneer, which could be better. As far as sound, they will sound the same.

Eric Patterson if youre on a couch you want it ear level and preferably in line with your floorstanding tweeter. I have a taller entertainment center so its perfectly parallel with my l and r channel. Its extremely seemless for audio. Hi Jerry!! Not much really, just the finish. No audio difference.
I was planning on buying a the new RP-504c, but it’s out of stock through the channels I was trying to purchase it. Do you know what the main differences are between the 504c and the 450c? Should I just go with the 450c? They’re on sale for really low too... I have RP-260f front speakers.

Hi! So the big thing is the new vented tweeter design in the newer 504C. It tames the harshness I’d the horn. I would contact my Klipsch dealer Cory, there may be a special going on for the 504C - bit.ly/TDPHTFB
Do you think that there's a noticeable difference in sound quality between the 450C and the 450CA (Atmos)?
@TechnoDad

Hi! There's no audible difference at all. They only changed the finish.
Hey bro I just bought the 450c and I'm wondering what kind of tv stand to get for it. Can you tell me how high the shelf is from your floor that the speaker is sitting on? With the foam risers does it angle the speaker close enough to your ears? I'm wondering if I could use a similar stand or if I should get something that would put the speaker up a little higher. Do you think something like this would work if I used the same auralex risers to angle the speaker up?www.bello.com/avsc2155.php
Do you have a link for the sound proofing material?

I purchased some Fluance signature series bookshelf speakers and center channel for my entertainment system. Fast forward a year ago from now and one of my speakers had a damaged woofer. I sent the speakers back through the lifetime warranty and they replaced them with new ones. 👍 awesome customer service. Anyway, I ended up buying a pair of Klipsch Rp-160m speakers which are nice and loud lol. I moved the Fluance to the back for a full 5.1 surround system. Now my question is that I’m still using the Fluance center channel which sounds fine but I read that it’s recommended that your front and center speakers be the same brand. Should I at least upgrade to the klipsch 250c (I believe that u just moved on from)? Or im I okay?

I think I'm going to demo the RP 260. Should I go with the 440c or the 450c?

+Zimba's Doom Corner I recommend the 450c, but make sure you have enough space fellas it's pretty huge!
Actually did the same thing as you, upgraded my 250C to 450C to complement my 280FAs as I thought bigger would surely be better. I was expecting a bigger sound upgrade tbh, it just proved that the 250C was no slouch once everything was level matched. Still I love the 450C, at least the speakers now look proportional. Keep up the great work !

+Neven Olivier It's great!! Yeah, sometimes you can, if your TV has a middle stand type thing.

Hi technodad, i have the Klipsch rc62ii paired with rf82s. I was contemplating getting the 450c. Do you think the difference in sound will be recognizable?

Hi! I personally think that might be a downgrade as the RC62II has bigger drivers. Also, the tweeters are different, so you might get a different sound.

@@TechnoDad ,the volume level for each channel is set for '0" except for my center channel which is set at +5. I don't know why the sound coming out from my center is not fuller. I then thought I needed a better center, I wasn't sure. . Would an amplifier give me a better sound? Thank you for your help.
Hi, did you re-run Audyssey setup after installation?
