Both Shri Jesudas and Shri TVG -- bothopf them happily with us -- were shishyas of the great Chembai. TVG himself is an accomplished singer and a vaggeyakara who had created ragas too. The way TVG accompanied the singer was as if his mridangam was singing along. Late Shri MSG was needless to say great himself. Thus, the trio -- with ghatam man too -- gave us one of the best Kanada renderings ever. I thank the poster for this musical gift. Narayanakuurp Kanthi Kumar from California

Bhakti is an important feel in Carnatic composition, and if singer puts bhakti as top priority in singing the composition then it sounds similar to this. With all due respect and kodi kodi pranamams at his feet, I noticed that Dasettan sang the lyrics incorrectly in the anupallavi. He sings"dAruNa danujALi dAraNa paTucaritE" instead of singing "kAma dAna nirata kaTAkSa vilAsini" in anupallavi and sings "dAruNa .." again in charanam.

SaTHaa in pallavi is also incorrect. I think such mistakes can be condoned if the singer sticks on to the Raaga Bhaava. That he does very much.

Messed up kamadana neerata kataksha vilasini in 1st charanam and sang daaruna danujali... in both charanams. Overconfident and careless.. someone of his level should think about what he wants to sing in a concert.
