10 years later still coming back to this video. DnB & Jungle seems to be the rare "EDM" genre that hasn't crossed into the pop realm yet .

errrm yes it did, but it went underground agian, 95-97 it started getting mershy, then it went underground then came DnB

Played in marching band with Sawka, he's got mad skills. I've never seen him fake anything except a smile once or twice.

I don't think I can ever tire of watching this video. I always come back to it a few times a year.

Expanded further to, such a pleasure seeing the subculture of an impassioned genre like drum and bass and jungle manifest itself during it's time. - This video of him playing live, as well as the portfolio tape he filmed in his house in this video's suggested section. Incredible to see. As Daniel mentioned, always coming back to it.

I was trying to remember the name and luckily found, I remember watching this yearsss ago, its such a dope style of drumming and overall sub-genre, very jungly and drum and bass-y, alot of pendulums earlier stuff remind me of this guys style

Back when I first discovered this video (probably ten years ago now) my computer and internet connection could rarely make it though the whole thing without freezing. Amazing stuff. Going to be seeing him play solo in a couple weeks. Can’t wait.

When he removes the cymbal at 3:36 then goes into hitting the bell of the ride is so nasty. Brings me back to this video again and again over the years.

The DJ seems to know his stuff; "this guy brought in a drum kit, he has a sampler, he has a....it's a...ummm...crazy ass setup dude".

I liked this video 15 years ago. And I still like it now. Big up KJ

This guy is gonna teach me how to spin dnb.... I found him on Pandora and searched him on myspace and found out he's from my city (Seattle) KJ SAWKA IS THE SHIT!!! Best dnb in the US!

I watched him play for 10 hours strait on the top of a bus! Battled an entire band on the roof of another bus. The stuff of legend.

That is the drum and base I've been searching for, for a long time. Sub base adds to to the most amazingly beautiful rolling, flowing beats I've heard. Hats of to you, Pure Brilliance

The first time I ever saw KJ Sawka perform was at a music festival called the "Phoenix Festival", which, in 2001 and 2002, was out in eastern Washington state, on Merlin's private property. KJ, at the time, was part of a drum'n'bass trio called "Siamese". He was wearing a space helmet, and, of the 12 sound stages all performing that night, I gravitated to that one. *_Special!_*

Dont worry all you chaps playing this man down! One day you might be lucky to achieve this level of skill! Recognise true ability! This man will shine, wether you will is a different matter! Best to you. P
