@Leshonit's not that I don't empathize with the situation. friendships come and go. Puppies naturally grow in litters, and those bonds will eventually break. It's healthy growth. Being alone and contained however is very damaging, especially early in life.

I have two dogs, one whose 12 and the other that’s like 6 months old. We’ve had cats for a few years. The old dog we had before the cats doesn’t like them at all, but the puppy played with the cats when he was tiny and gets along with the cats just fine. I think it’s about exposure.

Well to be fair they can get out again

The interesting part is that cat could have just escaped (although he would get captured but he could make a move for it) but he preferred to be with his friend which shows the amount of love between babies/kids (animal/human no matter) a grown one would rather to escspe himself out of the cage.

The fact that the person recorded this instead of putting the kitten back immediately tells me that this has happened more than once

Wow, those conditions are just horrific! Puppies and kittens should be with other puppies and kittens, not in tiny aquariums alone. I'm glad that where I'm from we have better animal proection laws and that would be totally illegal.

That’s why these little guys are so great. Sometimes they’ll make a move and pick YOU! I’ve seen it happen over and over. They know a friendly when they see one. What are you gonna do when they melt your heart? You’re gonna take them with you and keep it melted. Been there, done that. More than once. Wouldn’t ever trade those experiences. Animal love is quite strong. I’m still seeing people get their first cat and they can’t believe the love! Ha Ha! I tell them it’s going to happen, be ready, and it always is the same! Goners from the get go! My favorite animals. I had a spectacular one I picked in first grade. A big, bad, beautiful, Russian Blue that had more personality and presence than a lot of people. New people would always freak out on him. He was regal and expressive. Folks were taken aback by him because he was something they had never seen in a cat before. It was funny. You really had to see it. He could do it with a glance. Folks would look at him, looking at them and turn to us like, do you SEE this? Yeah, that’s how he is. I don’t think I’ve ever seen another cat like that. With that much presence. You could see that he would be very comfortable in ancient Egypt where they had high status. That’s what he projected, royalty. Ha Ha! That was my guy, all 16 pounds of him. I’m partial to grey cats now.
