For Bolo: this was one of the most informative videos I've seen from any MPC content creator. Creating the melody, resampling the melody, sequencing it, adding more sounds, half-timing it (!), and sequencing the track under 20 mins. As I said, masterclass.

I tested one of these in store today and I don’t know why people are complaining on the build quality. It was a very solid piece of gear. The only thing I’d change is the pads as they would have been better large but they were all very responsive

So I followed your sàme procedure till it was time convert to sample and that joint just went ......nothing....then I realized I was in Controller Mode.😮 So I saved then switched positions. Once I was in stand alone I was in business. Also what I noticed was the sampled sequence when applied to a new drum pattern has a completely different feel from original sequence. Appreciate you bro. This is Iron Sharpening Iron.

That’s a tedious workflow resampling and then arranging the two parts. I like the MPC Key 37, but the Akai Force is a better workflow, because the track(s) can be arranged without resampling and menu diving, then bounced to whichever DAW is used if necessary. That work flow would kill my vibe if I had to do that any time I want to switch up the melody. I’m still deciding between the Force and 37. This vid is pushing me to the Force. I know the stems can be sent and arranged in a DAW, but I don’t want to use a DAW for any thing other than vocals, mixing and mastering. Everything else I want hardware.

He’s showing you a different type of way. Which may seem longer, but you can make beats on it, the same way you would on your computer

If you never used hardware, it can seem like it’s too much. If you started with software, software may be easier for you. For me, it’s easier on the hardware. As an instructor, when software producers. specifically, FL Studio users, try the software, they can’t lay a drum pattern to the metronome. Cannot follow the click. I can see why it’s hard for some to use hardware.

Trust me it’s faster .. I’ve used fl for years 15 plus years … I got a mpc last year .. and the only thing that’s slower is the got dang piano roll on the mpc… but besides that you can crank beats fast.. and mpc sounds full and think out the box. I’ve noticed how flat fl studio sounds.
