Skaven just seem to fit the 40k universe IMO. Huge overpopulated, futuristic cities should include large mutated, plagued rats

TBH I just kinda assumed if they existed in 40k, they'd be found at the lowest levels of hive-worlds, where mutants are plentiful.

I'm sure AoS skaven players would really like new sculpts. Plastic kits would also make Acolytes a valid choice, which it currently is not.

GSC seems to be a good option for rules, especially if you’re using a lot of GSC bits as a base for the conversion. Chaos is another obvious choice, and I’ve seen a blog with someone doing Skaven Admech which worked surprisingly well too.

That's a cool looking mini. I made a squad of Space Rats by using a box of Stormvermin and leftover, less-human hands from the Neophyte and Acolyte Hybrid kits. The clawed hands really fit the Skaven aesthetic, and it is generally a quick and easy conversion. That paint job you've given your rat-boy is really cool and grim-dark.

What's great is how in the Old World lore most mortals didn't even believe the Skaven existed, but yet they did. Now the same thing can be said about the 40,000 millennia. Love it, thanks for sharing.

For a video idea why not a Space Seraphon? Maybe using Tao parts to add a clean yet still religious-esque style to them (maybe using the bloodbowl seraphon figure because the regular ones are a bit outdated)

The December 2019 issue of White Dwarf has some Seraphon which have been converted with some necron parts to give them some extra future tech stuff, which is definitely worth the look :)

Just a tip I figured out while doing this for myself, instead of a green stuff roller for the tail, you can just use a fine tooth comb.

Would love to see some "genesteler cult ______" where you have various non human races infested by genestealer cults. Orks/Tau/Eldar/Etc.

This awesome video demands a painting guide. Brilliant job, easily the best/most thematic kit-bash I’ve seen.

I don't play fantasy battle or sigma but still love buying and painting a few skaven. A leman russ / screaming bell deranged conversion would be quite an amusing project! I'm slightly tempted to do it. I collect imperial guard and blood angles 40k but have always had a real soft spot for all things skaven. The first miniatures I ever brought were skaven ordred from a white dwarf in 1989. 2 x rat ogers, a champion and warlock jezel.... a 40k skaven heavy weapons team conversion had much areal too!!

I saw the community post and eagerly awaited this.

Space Skaven: 7pts. M7 WS2 BS3 S3 T3 W1 A2 Ld6 Sv4+ Squads of up to 25. Special rule "clanpestine", can opt to ignore morale if>10 models in unit, but must stand still next turn if they opt to do this, all take auto guns. Three in ten can any of heavy assault flamer(+6pts). Lascanon(+15pts). Heavy bolter(+5pts). Grenade launcher(+3pts). Can can upgrade further 1in 10 Censor Bearer(+20pts). Warp Stone Miasma causes D3 mortal wounds in shooting phase. On a D3 of a natual 6 the Skaven also take a mortal wound. RANGE 8 inches.

Not gonna lie these would make some pretty awesome counts as guardsmen abhuman units

Birthday and a conversion vid hell yeah

Here's a grammar tip for your script writing: use the active voice. E.g. instead of saying "the tail was cut by my pliers," (passive voice) say "I cut the tail with my pliers" (active voice). People don't usually speak in the passive voice, but people often write in the passive voice. Using the active voice ("I did thing") sounds more natural and exciting than passive voice ("thing happened to me"). Keep up the great work!

Mantic Veer-myn (and Ratkin) just work really well as a Rat Mutant Cult. Ratkin actually work great as Oldschool Skaven for Warhammer Fantasy, The 9th Age, etc, as well.

Skaven are the only AoS faction I like. Bringing them into my 40k collection seems like an awesome idea, thx for the video and the inspiration!

Funny, one of the 40k original lore videos just made something called "Kreigers clear the Rats Nest" which a lot of people were apparently hoping were Kreigers fighting Space Skaven. Good timing!

Well, Grimdark Future have a Skaven-like army list, so the conversion is totally legal, don´t worry.

Budget tip, if you dont want to give greenstuff world your money, you can pick up a cheap set of combs to use as tentacle/conduit roller instead.

For the Tail you can also use a comb

Love your vids. Conversions were always my favourite part of the hobby: smashing together WHFB and 40k kits was something I did a bit of: Chaos Warriors and Chaos Space Marines... it was meant to be! I think Eldar is definitely a good source of video content for you. There’s the aspect warriors which could use updating, as well as old factions like Corsairs and Exodites, and new like Ynnari (making them more unified rather that just Dark and Craftworlds models just mixed up with a similar colour scheme)

I'm told those wire tools are no longer available because GSW essentially stole the patent. The Skaven looks great - especially the glowing shard!

I really like these windows conversions especially for alien races that don't actually exist in 40K yet. Please keep it up!

I have to say, it would be amazing if you did conversions similar to your plastic biovore for the various Skaven Weapon Teams and Skryre Acolytes. The models are ancient and mainly metal or fine cast.

I used a Tau Pathfinder kit for my Skaven auxiliaries which you can see on my IG - the_greensauce. Also, for heads that don't fit torsos quite right, you can use a tiny ball of putty under the head so that it squishes to form a 'collar'.

Nice thought! Since GW has no rules for Space Skaven, one might use those minis simply as Chaos Cultists of a Death Guard army. I'd love too see GW catch this on an put 'em in just like the Tzaangor....

Video Idea: A Felinid Imperial Guard conversion. No canon art of them exists so you can really get creative with it. Then make a kill team for both the Felinids and your Space Skaven for a cat vs mouse game!
