did he though? KISS have some great solos, but did Ace actually have anything to do with writing them?

@@Peacefrog88 Yes, Ace wrote almost all of his solos, but he had direction in the studio from Paul and Gene and the different producers, which is not uncommon. It's one of the reasons why Ace's solo style has changed so much over the years. You need someone who can hear the "sweet spots" and bounce ideas off of. Detroit Rock City's solo was written by Bob Ezrin and Paul. If you listen to the early demos of Strutter and Deuce, you can tell it took a while for Ace to refine those solos to what they eventually became.

@@bobbyglenn3912 Well, something has to be proven true for me to be in denial. So, where is the proof that KISS lip-sychs in their live shows? I'm more than open to hearing this proof. So far, I've noticed that it's all allegations from people that weren't on the Kruise and didn't see the shows. So, were you on the Kruise and what proof do you have? Thanks.

@@LanceATL dude they lip synced on the jimmy fallon show and agt, and the biggest evidence from the kiss kruise are clips of paul backing up from the mic towards the end of a line but still hearing his voice ending that line (which im sure you heard of recently). on the jimmy fallon show, genes hand goes away from the bass and it still plays, paul stops himself from singing when he realizes the lyrics havent played yet then when they play he continues, tommys fingers dont move on certain parts of the solo, and some have said erics timing is off on a certain verse but the only thing i noticed was small frame video/audio delay that can happen on any video. you can even hear the auto tune to make their voices sound like it does on the monster and sonic boom albums. paul admits its harder for him to do such high notes and gene admits his voice isnt great especially since the comment he made when he was with frehley. on the agt show when paul calls out the hosts, you see he looks like hes out of breath to yell it out. earlier in the song though hes perfectly fine. later on he does long high note and it looks like hes trying though. they lip synced for music videos from 80s era, like dynasty, unmasked, the elder, creatures etc. and i believe they said they have or would only lip sync for that and tv performances, but we can gather from this that they do have the ability to do the same things live. you can compare the final reunion/farewell tour to their current play and you can hear the live sound of paul and genes voice. you can hear there breath and how loud they try to be, but in these newer ones, it doesnt even sound like they singing at a level for themselves and increasing the volume or adding a bit effects, it sounds like a backing track they modify. maybe they are preserving their voices for the live performances, paul and gene can definitely sing.

Neat air guitar contest. Don't bother with a lip sync contest though because we already know Paul Stanley will win that one.

Me too. I used to air guitar so good I even used to do the added effect of putting the strap over my shoulder tuning it up and adjusting the knobs.

Playing air guitar to a guy playing someone else's solos. Ironic lol

@@PoKeKidMPK1 But, Tommy doesn't doesn't play as Ace. That's a false statement. Ace is a person, not a fictional character. If Tommy was playing as Ace, he would have to gain sixty pounds, grow a mustache and goatee, and wear a "New York" shirt and a black suit jacket. As you see above, Tommy is Tommy. If you can't separate the "Spaceman" character and makeup from Ace as a person, you have identity issues and need to seek professional help. Also, side note, Daniel Craig is not pretending to be Sean Connery. Just thought I'd throw that in.
