We met up with KISS lead guitar player Tommy Thayer before the band's 2017 show at Frankfurt Festhalle in Germany.
Tommy has played H&K amps for years, and we chatted about his signature Duotone, TubeMeister, the current KISS tour and how hard-working the band still are after all these years. Enjoy!
(By the way, when we shot this our new era 1 acoustic amp wasn't out yet, which explains Rich's shock as Tommy picks it up!)

Tommy is a great guy and he deserves to be in Kiss.I love Ace but he walked out on Kiss 2 or 3 times.Good for Tommy

I have an Attax 50 amp. It may be solid state but it sounds great. Tommy is a great player. Sorry so many Kiss fans give him crap. Anybody would take that gig.

We love Tommy, and agree 100% with what you've said there Richard. Who'd turn down a gig like that?! And yes, the Attax was (and still is!) a great amp - we still have a few in our showroom here in Germany, and they still get played :)
I love Ace but this guys is fucking awesome!!!
Tubes are the way to go with amps.
