His contribution as a singer particularly in Hindi movies is highly impressive. His songs are ever melodious,memorable,unforgettable and obviously heart touching. On the other hand Kishore kumar is also a legendary figure in Hindi cinema.His achievement in singing style with tone of voice relating to the volume of expression in the varieties is ever considered .He can never be compared about his competency and potentiality with the other great singers.He is very much confident while he sings a songs by his own modulations consisting of any type. Rafi Is Legend No Doubt And Probably More Skilled Because Of His Classical Training But one truth is that there is a magic in Kishore Kumar's voice.. pick up any of his duet songs and listen to the same song sung with two singers. Kishore Kumar's version sounds better and is a hit.

Kishore Kumar is good, some of his songs are really fine to listen. But , there is no other singer of the calibre of Rafi. His range ,versitality, expressions are God-like. From Naushad to Laxmikant Pyarelal he has served them all although the styles of every composer was different. Kishore's songs are good but one dimensional. In a movie where kishore had to sing a classical song, Rafi's voice was used. Again, both are legends.

They are two of my fav singers … both were amazing in their own way. 🙏❤️

Ye duniya apne patan ki aur Jaa rahi hai. isiliye logo ko new-new voice chahiye tha jisse unko entertainment mile that's why Kishore Kumar emerged as an eminent personality since the Great Mohammad Rafi Sahab stopped giving his voice due to the rules of the Islamic faiths. And one can easily see that people of now are nowhere closer to the people of 50's,60's,70's. Not today's music is of that level nor the singers are of that level.

Rafi saab was a great fan of k.l.saigal saab and he even begged naushad saab to give him the opportunity to sing a line with saigal saab but still i will not say that saigal saab is a greater singer than rafi saab, only people with a particular mindset always try to say that rafi saab was greater than kishore saab, saigal saab, mukesh ji etc.

@@soorshehzadah6604 When Raffi jee entered in Bollywood sahagal was on the top and in a party Sahgal had to perform but he was absent then Raffi jee sang in his absence and people admired...Lata jee fan of Sahgal and Kishore da regard Guru to Sahgal but sahgal died only age 0f 40..In early days Kishore da used to sing in sahgal style..Sahgal was a great singer and he had good command over raags but those days raag based song was used and his carrier was very short ...

Rafi ruled the era of 1950 60 70 but due too Hajj Rafi sahab stop singing.. thats why kishore became popular.. otherwise rafi sang more songs than kishore mukesh manna day etc.. Even till th death he use to sing

Rafi.sahab had some beautiful traditional Geets and Gazals to his credit ,u missed to mention this talent in Rafi sahab's singing.

kishore jab full time singer banke aaye 67/68 ke baad rafi ki chhuti ho gayi. rafi haaj faaj kidhar bhag gaya, barfi ka karobar chalu kiya. sabhi jagah kishore hi kidhore. kishore ka koi jod nahi tod nahi. kishore greatest singer aur farishta insaan. kishore jaisa na koi huwa naa hoga.

@shakilahmad2046 bhaisahab, rafi paida hoke bhi fayda nahi just see the history... 67/68 rafi almost disappeared from industry till death, kishore was totally captured everywhere. after 80s Similar kishore voice and style Kumar sanu ruled the music industry for around 18 years. that means 68 to 2000 kishore style singers only like some more Shaan, Babul, Abhjeet nd all dominated Bollywood. be practical and try to accept facts. Bhaisahab you like rafi, no issue, your choice but "comparison with better singer" no way bhaisahab. no personal bhaisahab. khush raho.

I love one and only kishore da. Please don't compare him with other singers. Md rafi and others was knowledgeable and trained singers. They knew A to z grammar of singing. But kishore da was untrained. But a untrained singer win all indian heart by his magical singing. His singing joints with our joy, emotion, romance and sadness. Not only that, he sang all type of song and add yuddling. Everybody was singing, which made composer. But kishore da always added extra music in maximum song and all that song was superhit. Every generation will enjoy his song. We are all missing you Kishore da.

Rafi sang every kind of song. The nuances Rafi brought in his voice were matchless. The range Rafi displayed was unique. Rafi is certainly the better of the two. We also love many Kishore numbers. But we know that Rafi was hundred out of hundred.

Rafi has the greatest range and highest pitch that no other singer could match.... Example: O Duniya ke rakhwalay, song. I think no other singer on planet good do justice to this grand song, and no one could ever sing that good as Muhammad Rafi...

This is simply factually incorrect. Rafi was a high baritone, tending towards tenor, with a range that topped at B4, and very rarely C5 notes. Rakhwale is one note lower at A4. So it is not even in the top 10 high notes that Rafi himself sang. There are true tenors like RFAK or NFAK that go all the way to F5, 10 semitones above A4. Lastly range is not the best criteria to rate singers at all. It's about emotion, feel, sur, taal etc..

All-rounder singer Kishore da. Next 500 years tak Kishore da jaisa singer nhi aayega.

I'm a huge fan of Rafi sahab & Kishoreda. Both are Legends. For me, Rafi Sahab is unbeatable in "expressions & acting" (in singng) and Kishoreda is unbeatable in "Voice & feel"

Kishore voice is superb to hear but the true badshah of almost perfect playback singing of all genre there is no one greater or come close to Mohammed Rafi sahab, actually i love both singers but the fact is fact,kishore is second best playback singer.

गायकी के हिसाब से रफी साहब किशोर कुमार से बढ़कर थे। संगीत कोमल व मधुर हो तो ही वह श्रेष्ठ है जिससे मनुष्य भाव विभोर होकर आन्तरिक शान्ति पाता है। मधुरता व कोमलता स्वरों के साथ आवाज में भी हो तो गीत मन की गहराईयो को छू लेता है। इस मामले मे रफी साहब का पलडा भारी पडता है।

Komal aur madhur ke sath agar awaaz mein mardanagi ho to wo singer ka koi mukabla nahi,bhari awaaz mein Sur mein rehna bahot mushkil hai.

Very well said ... fan of both ... and some of the songs sung by Kishore "Mere Naina Sawan Bhado" will not suite on Rafi's voice and same goes with song sung by Rafi "Dosti Chahunga Main Tujhe Saanjh Savere" will not suite on Kishore .... both are great singers ....you have very well explained thanks

kishoreda's songs is very youthful and therefore his songs never get old … it will continue next 100 years...if you have karaoke or party you prefer Kishoreda's songs …even the young generation prefer his songs...

Mohammad Rafi had the Most Perfect and the best male Playback Singer voice. Itni clear And perfect voice aaj tak nahi aayi na Kabhi aayegi

Both of them had unique qualities. Different from each other. Rafi had soft melodious voice , reaching high notes very easily. Kishore was Expert of playback singing , master of moods, with more sense of Music and creativity, with a Solid Male Resonating Voice.

Every singer has his/her own good style no need to compare one with others. Just enjoy listening to them.

As an outright singer, Rafi has it all. Perfect voice Versatility Great catalogue Great live performance. This is only found in Lata ji. Kishore Kumar Has a great voice, which covers most types and styles of songs. Pretty much just as good as Rafi saab. He mentioned that there were some songs that he couldn't get quite right, for which Rafi saab was drafted in to save the day. Kishore also has a great catalogue etc. Great live singer Due to my age being mid-50s , his genre of songs is more appealing to me, but that is just my preference. However, the greatest song of all Yeh Duniya yeh mehfil. It's shows everything that Rafi had in the bag. And what a great man he was, too. The king of them all. 1. Rafi 2. Lata 3. Kishore 4. I'll leave that to others

You are a true music lover and have aptly analysed singing style of these two most versatile playback singers. There have been other great male playback singer but not complete as these TWO.

Kishor da was genius, he sang too greatly. Where as Rafi Saheb's voice is God's own voice, both are unmatched.

Kishore is better because he sings for amitabh and rajesh khanna both superstar thats help them to become superstar

KK is a good singer no. Doubt highly enjoyable but M Rafi is special creation on earth each song is a legend not seen anywhere

When KK sings entire mehfil jhoom uthta tha. He was a good entertainer. He was the tiger. Aur Rafi sahab jab gate the mind and heart madhose ho jata tha unki awaz ki jadoo se. Sare sansar jhom uthta tha. He was the lion No one can replace him. Where as Kishore da ka so many duplicates hai . Rafi sahab was the best singer which all singers, music directors admitted including Kishore da.

Your own voice sounds like Kishore 's, therefore, your tilt towards him is understandable, however, if comparison is to be made then who could do it better than the icon, Manna Dey who himself was , undoubtedly, a better singer than Kishore. Therefore, your attempt to equate the two legends is spurious. Rafi Sb is the Shahanshah of Indian playback singing n none so far has been able to match him let alone surpass him!

Both are great amazing fingers in there own way but Rafi's voice was unique and sing with emotional , i like both singers are great and legends. You sing also nice. 🌹
