He is giving you a battle with him once and for all... To see if your strong enough for that star rod piece. The thing that king dedede tries to warn you about, but fails, then nightmare is released. And so, he used the star rod to defeat nightmare. And this couldn't have happened, if meta knight didn't give you the star rod piece. But he wanted to see if you were strong enough for it. And when you see him without his mask for once, he looks like a blue version of you. He gives you the star rod piece, cause he now knows you're worthy of it. And then he goes, never to be seen again.

when i was like 9 i wasn't able to come further then the final boss from level 6 (the battle one) then i couldn't but the boss from level 7, but level 8 was the hardest to me, but when i became older i eventually could beat the last boss, so i completed that game long ago made me kinda wish i was a kid again

I played this kirby when I was 6 and finished the game. This game is amazing and its nostalgic af, love it

Is it me or is the final boss (yes I know he's called Nightmare) INCREDIBLY easy? Like once you learn his tactics he just becomes so easy... Maybe it's just me lol Also an incredibly simple tactic in the DDD battle I learnt is just to use the Burning Ability. That saved me dozens (exaggerating, of course) honestly and got me out of just using either the Spark or Sword ability.

@@chiaknight they are basically the same except different sizes... i think you aren’t remembering correctly. They might seem easier since kirby controls much better in this version

I just realized something. Many of the things in this game are from Kirby Right Back At Ya, because they both came out in 2002 (in America). For example: Phan Phan replaced Rolling Turtle. Phan is from the anime. Kirby's appearance has been changed in a modern Kirby game since Kirby 64 in 2000. Many of the copy ability hats, (e.g. Hammer with the headband) come from Kirby's many transformations from the cartoon. They didn't have their Super Star movesets again until Kirby's Return to Dreamland inn the Wii in 2011. Also, King Dedede and Nightmare (although from the original Kirby's Adventure) had their appearances changed to be consistent with Kirby Super Star and the anime respectively. The artwork of Meta Knight for this game was carried over from Super Star, but tweaked from the anime in question. You can see this from the box art.

This was the first ever kirby game I had ever played. Next was kirby 64 and the crystal shards but I'm glad I played nightmare in dream land first. The noglestic memories of going to sleep while listening to the dedede battle theme.

Maybe im just being a crumudgeon but image upscalers like this are lame. It ironically makes some things look smudgy and blurry since the game was already designed with sharp sprites.

The music in this game is so nostalgic

Wheelie, Bugzzy and Kracko were my favorite bosses.

This is what I call a 'cute game'. It's a kind of game that has this kind of graphics, pixelated but beautiful, and this kind-of-relaxing kind of music. Dunno if you get me, but this kind of game makes me feel like a kid again, just chilling in my bed under my warm sheets during a cold day, playing carefree.

God the nostalgic memories i shared with nightmare in dreamland. I remember always playing it and one point bringing my gameboy color on a school field-trip. Best powers were definitely sword, hammer, ball, and wheel.

Man, that time when Mr. Tick-Tock was still a boss. Been a long time since the game boy.

I remember playing this game when i was a kid. My favorite power was the suplex on lol. Just drop kicking every enemy was beyond satisfying for me

I just played this game for the first time today. That nightmare boss was hard to hit. I could only find three openings to hit it, and it took a while for me to beat it.
