@@theflyingcat9017 i'm guessing the reason kirby can use morpho knight's sword (and gain his appearance) is because instead of trying to absorb kirby, morpho instead lends his power to kirby, because (i assume) he was impressed by kirby defeating him (in canon as well)

Kirby, the series starring a baby eldritch being, makes you fear butterflies and makes you ally with the isekai truck to defeat another eldritch being.

I think they have. We see them land on Kirby in both Return to Dreamland and Planet Robobot. Either Morpho doesn't want Kirby and was actually just being cool, or Kirby is too powerful for them to absorb.

A bit of Morpho Knight lore based off of the figure in Forgotten Land Morpho Knight grants its form and power to any it judges worthy. Once defeated, Morpho Knight is destroyed and sends the worthy across the galaxy via light. We can see that Forgo Elfilis is still alive due to Morpho Knights Elfilis Spirit Summon. This means Galactica Knight is still alive.

Spoilers for Forgotten Land below. You have been warned... I actually started freaking out seeing that damn butterfly approach Soul Forgo. I actually didn't think they'd do a 3D Galacta/Morpho battle, given it was the FIRST 3D mainline Kirby game. Then they did and it was AWESOME. I desperately hope Galacta gets his time to shine in the next game!

Morpho Knight ends what is tired and old. First, he took Galacta Knight, a tired old boss that had been brought back time and time again for the sake of fanservice, barely even gaining any new moves after a literal decade of appearances, with no sign that they'd be developed as a character any time soon. Then, he consumed Soul Forgo, a "SOUL" boss, once a delightfully terrifying surprise at the end of Canvas Curse with Drawcia Soul, that was then finalized as a concept with Marx Soul in Super Star Ultra, after that, it became such a consistent element of the series that people began _EXPECTING_ it at the end of The True Arena and its equivalents in every Kirby game, the same type of boss, always using the exact same attacks taken from Drawcia, Nightmare, and Marx, always hinted to be some form of Dark Matter/0/Void, but never developed further, it became stale, and was thus consumed by Morpho Knight, leaving the true final boss to instead adopt the title of "CHAOS", with said boss being the first of its kind to be completely canon. As for its next victim? Well, let's just ask one simple question: Within this franchise, what's the oldest and most tired trope of all? That which has been present in every _single_ *game* from the second installment onwards? The final boss is always some form of *nightmarish monster,* without fail. It used to be that having something so antithetical to the perceived aesthetic and charm of the series appear as the true final boss was _novel_ and _shocking,_ it was an *exception* to the norm, but after 30 years of the exact same thing over and over again, _it is the norm,_ it hasn't been novel or shocking to _any_ Kirby fan for decades now. You know what that means right? You know _exactly_ what that means. The next time Morpho Knight appears, they won't just be absorbing some optional super boss, their next victim in the next mainline game, *_is the final boss itself._* *They're going to consume whatever **_nightmare_** the final boss turns out to be, and **_replace them._*

I KNOW!!!!. ITS SO WEIRD TO MAKE A ENTITY OF JUDGEMENT CANON WHILE GETTING RID OF THE ONE TRUE GUY THAT ALL PLAYERS ARE FIMILLAR WITH. When I first saw that(it was a video I don't have a Nintendo switch so I am an uncultured swine.) I was so shocked 😲 and the fact that it can have the ultra sword makes me sad because I miss kirby return to dreamland because my wii is broke as hell. It can't turn on without flickering on and off while all the color is gone.

@@nicholastaylor5354 My brain actually didn't connect the Ultra Sword to Morpho's sword, that's actually really cool if it's intentional, considering Return to Dreamland was the first game to show-off this particular orange butterfly if my memory is right. I agree with you. Morpho killing (or at least absorbing) Galacta Knight was one heck of a plot twist, and was a great way to not only shake up the secret boss formula, but also to intimate the player (According to Planet Robobot, Galacta Knight can accidentally blow up nearby planets during fights, so Morpho instantly defeating Galacta is scary). Also, I'm sad that your Wii is broke! The Wii was one of my first consoles, so I have a lot of attachment to it. Hopefully, you can fix it or get a better one in the future (or just get a switch, as they seem to be porting a lot of Wii games unto it)!

Yeah, that moment wasn’t canon. All subgames are “what-if” scenarios where the characters exclusive to them may EXIST in canon, but the particular battles that take place against them are not. So Meta Knightmare Ultra, the various True Arenas variants, Dededetour, Robobot’s Meta Knightmare mode, and Guest Star Allies are non-canon but Galacta and Morpho Knight are still canon. The only canon subgame is Meta Knight/Ultimate Cup/Z from Forgotten Land, since the true final boss of that mode is foreshadowed after defeating Morpho Knight in Forgo Land, which is also canon

No, the true areas of the games aren't cannon (at least, everything before Kirby and the Forgotten Land). But Galacta Knight is cannon, because he can travel through universes, meaning the same Galacta Knight can be in both the cannon storyline and the non-cannon modes. Yeah, Kirby lore is complicated.

That butterfly is a blood sucker butterfly(kinda like a bat who sucks blood).I have a theory that the butterfly is in reality Meta Knight.The butterfly is a Meta Knight clone...c'mon...this little animal is always near Meta Knight in some cutscenes.Every time Kirby sleeps, the butterfly/bat sucks his blood to eat or gives Kirby powers.Also Meta Knight covers himself with his cape because he's a vampire and vampires hate the sun. Trust me,Meta Knight will be revealed to be a villain,but not because he wants to be a villain but because he loves blood(he reminds me of Toga Himiko from MHA).My theory is that all the Knights( "Morpho Knight","Galacta Knight" ecc )are all previous versions of Meta Knight,because remember that Meta Knight can assume other identities thanks to being a vampire.Meta Knight probably had a trauma in the past and an inferiority complex,indeed I think he kills the past versions of himself(for example Galacta Knight)who loses because he wants to show that he is not weak and wants to fight against you forever(He is a soldier.He must have PTSD or something,because he seems to have problems with his identity).He is like an evil Kirby.They parallel each other because Kirby can have as many powers as he wants.The difference is that Meta Knight is born to be a monster.
