I’m 25 and I’ve been trying to do this since I was 12. Landed my first Kip Up today! I know now that The hardest thing about the kip up is not to give up you fail over and over again. It’ll happen with enough practice.
I use that technique when I wake up in the morning.

Pushing and kicking together will give you your best chance of landing nicely. Most people that don't push hard enough leave their body behind and fall back when they get to their feet. Really appreciate your support. Thank you :)
People shouldn't get discouraged if they don't get it right away. It takes a while for most people to get the timing down. It took me a whole week to do a regular kip up and ever longer than that to do an armless kip up. After that it took some time for me to get the consistency down. Just keep practicing.

No problem. I'm glad you find them helpful and i will be making more :)
I'm glad it helps and it's probably because it's not really a Taekwondo move, it's just something you try and learn with time. Good luck with your training :)
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :) Flexibility certainly helps with making the move cleaner but with power and technique you can still land it pretty well. Advise is in the tutorial but i'm assuming you do the most common mistake which is kicking straight out instead of kicking up which gives you less height/time to land the move. Hope that helps and good luck :)
Thank you ginger ninja. I love the way you break everything down into a few easier steps. very clear and easy to understand. working my way through all your vids. lol always wondered who the ninja in the spiderman suit is/was. lol thanx mate peace

I'm glad you find it helpful and that you think that. Thank you :) I'm sure you will get it soon. Good luck with your training :)
This move is not just about flexibility. It's about timing, power in the kick and the angle you are exerting it also. My advise is watch the tutorial, follow the steps and i'm sure you will get it :)
Keep working on the technique/timing and i'm sure you will get it soon. Good luck :)
Thank you :) I'm glad you liked it and i really appreciate your support :)
I'm glad you liked it and I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)
Kick upwards first and it will change naturally to diagonal half way through as you are getting ready to fold the legs. Hope that helps and good luck :)
I recommend a soft surface as it will absorb your impact when you are attempting the move. Stone or wooden floor is not a very good idea. If that's your only option in doors, then practice on grass or sand outside. Good luck :)

I used the hills to help so the motion is easier for me and then moved on to a foam mattress and then I just went for it on the carpet and the results were successful but this video was the last option which worked by the way and thanks for the motivation to do so cos I was close to giving up
I'm glad you picked it up fast :) I will be doing sparring tips soon. Really appreciate your support. Thank you :)
No problem and i'm glad you liked it :) Train on something soft like a mattress, sand, etc. You could also go to an open gymnastics session too and use their equipment to help learn more difficult moves. Good luck :)
ill try it like this next time, before i was doing it nooby like and landed on my back bunch of times
Omgg awsomeeee !:D
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :) I'm glad you think so and i will do my best to :) You can get someone to support you and help give you better form. Shoulder stretching will help too but the main way to progress is repetition and strengthening your back and shoulders. Good luck :)
Thank you :) I'm glad you think that and i appreciate your support :)

Your arms aren't the most important part here. Mainly you use your legs for momentum and your neck and back to get you off the ground.
I'm in the b boy club at skool and the way that taught me how to do it was the way where u said you hurt your knees. As soon as I got this video down perfectly in about 2 days, i did it at skool and everybody after session came up to me and told me to teach them the way I did it. This is one of the best tutorials Ive seen around keep it up GNT

I love websters. They are my favorite move. It's a better progression for a front handspring first but this move teaches you how to thrust your legs down for the webster. Thank you :)

I have seen bigger people than you do a kip up :) I was lucky to get it first go but my back was quite flexible already from training in martial arts. I have seen people my build trying it for a couple of months and no success so it's just understanding and being persistent. The bridge doesn't have to be perfect but it helps make your kip up more efficient and i'm sure yours will progress with time. Good luck my friend :)
It's usually really close together when kicking up and about a shoulder width apart when I land for me as you can see in the video but it's mainly down to your preference/variation :)
Really appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)
That's great and I appreciate your support. Thank you :)
Appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)
Might do one in the future :)
That's great. Congratulations :)
I have stretching tutorials which are good for kicking and will strengthen the lower back on my channel but if you are not interested in that then practicing arch on your front and bridge should suffice for the kip up :)
Glad you think so. Keep practicing and i'm sure you will get it. Good luck :)
That's great! Congratulations :)
Congratulations :) No problem, i'm glad that i could help :)
Thank you and i will do :)

DUDE YOU ARE A FREAKING HERO I KEPT FAILING FROM ALL OTHER TUTORIALS BUT YOURS YOUR BRIDGE PROGRESSION HELPED ME DO IT YOU UPLIFTED ME GOD YOU HELPED ME FEEL THE BEST I EVER HAVE IN YEARS (I NEVER FELT THAT GREAT & SATISFIED IN YEARS) THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :) That's great and that is understandable. Keep up the hard work and good luck :)
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :) I'm sure you will get it soon. Good luck :)
This is the way to get your kip up clean and upright so it's the most efficient you can make it. If you want to get up quicker then you would kick with less of an angle and it would be faster but lower. It depends what you want.
No problem. Glad i could help :)
Your back flexibility is important to get a good kip up. Bridges help a lot. The rest is timing and power you get from the kick and your hands pushing. Hands are easy to do so back and legs are the most important part to have in my opinion. Good luck :)
No problem :) That's great and it will become more consistent with repetition. Good luck with your training :)
I appreciate you saying that and no problem :)
Amazing tutorial! I have been doing martial arts for years and I have never seen someone as good at teaching as you! Very charismatic, breaking it down into simple steps that lead to the move. you sir, have my like and I will be following you.
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you and good luck :)

Thanks GNT! The bridge step was the one that worked for me. I’ve seen a few videos, and like yours the most.
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :) Cool. I look forward to hearing from you :)
I will make one in the future :)
No problem. Hope it helps :)
Thank you :) The legs kick and then fold to create the bridge shape. My guess is that you are either not getting your legs underneath you enough or you are leaving your body behind. Good luck :)
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :) That's great! :)
I'm glad you found it helpful and I appreciate your support :)
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :) Maybe one day :) You basically answered it yourself my friend. If you think you are folding too early then don't, improve the angle of the kick up and the timing like it says in the tutorial. Hope that helps, good luck and keep me updated with your progress :)
No problem and that's great :)
