I eat them every once in awhile but try not to eat to much of them because the water quality isn't the best. It's a reall good setup I'm sure you'll like it

The test you need to do for that would be a 40 inch snook. Got a friend who just got one and I told him to let me know when he hooks up to a nice 10-15 jack or a big snook to let me know if it holds up.

I always keep mine in my work truck for some fishing after work. How does it hold up with snakeheads? Here in MD we go northern snakeheads and I’m thinking of making it my dedicated snakehead rod

It works great for snakehead I know up that way they get bigger than the ones down here but you should be alright

Bought one and so far so good. The reel shows to be interchangeable. But I have not been able to switch it, have you done that yet and any advise?

Are you trying to switch it from left to right hand retrieve?

Hello Billy. Now that it’s been 2 years since you’ve reviewed the rod and reel combo, how has the Kingswell Rod and reel held up? I am thinking of getting two combos for us to use when we’re out camping in our motorhome and want to go to the nearby fishing holes on our e-bikes. Love the portability and being able to take on our bikes when we can’t take our standard rods with us, but according to Kingswell the products only has a 6 month warranty. Thank you for the review and taking the time to answer my question. Rob

It's a great combo just be a little careful on how you extend and retract the rod so you don't mess up the eye. Super smooth reel

Definitely. I've caught some sizable snakehead on it. So I would think It would hold up to a decent salmon .

Just got mine. Sucks. With a leader on you can't collapse it all the way down and use the protective cover.
