Ive had a telescopic rod since christmas i was able to bring it to florida and mexico in my suitcase and catch some cool fish! I now use it as my main spinning setup because it is so ez to run around with ive caught two four pounders and a ton of other nice bass on it! All for 60 bucks🥰 Love the vid

Awesome video as always man🤙🏼 I need to get me a telescopic rod for my truck. When you go out for catfish again you should get some circle hooks they hold the shiners on better and the fish is less likely to come off and you won’t have to set the hook hard. Also you can just loosen the drag when you go catfishing to prevent the rod from going in the water when a fish bites it will just peel a little drag which will alert you that you have a fish.

ugly stik makes a 4 piece and so far i havent broke it, landed a 6 lb pike on it, if you want a travel rod id recommend that, although maybe dont use the shakespeare reel that comes with it lol

I like the video but in the beginning when you cast the rod to extend it, it can get stuck and is almost impossible to collapse, had to throw out two of mine because of that.

@@FISHERYIN hey Ryan, when you hook those minnows/baitfish they usually have better action if you hook them once in one end instead of double hooking them, because that makes them spin and twist up your line and look un natural

I own a European Telescopic carp rod and I love I caught a lot of big fish on it and it’s very durable

I just got the ghosthorn telescopic rod and reel combo, which is a medium power rod and claims to have 34 pounds of drag, it’s arriving next week and I’m going to Florida in a few weeks, I’m going to test out the rod and see if they can handle saltwater fish. If I remember, I’ll update you when I get back and I’ll let you know if the one I got holds up to two weeks in Florida.

Hey, I looked into the ghosthorn rod a little more and I found a better rod. It is called kingswell and I’m going to be getting that one instead. It is a medium heavy instead of the ghosthorn’s medium, and I am getting the ghosthorn GT6000 reel. All in all I think that the rod is the best and the reel is the best for my budget. I’m keeping it under $100.

I caught a 20 pound carp on one

I'll never use anything with more than two pieces, each piece allows a weaker spot in the rod strength. I prefer 1 piece solid blanks.

@@FISHERYIN no doubt. I've had issues throwing the top piece off two piece rods lol that's always fun retrieving half my rod from the water without making a line mess. The strength and durability of a one piece has always been my reasoning but two piece rods are easier to haul in a small vehicle or even behind the seat of a truck.
