Loved Kingdom. A worthy successor to the Caeser Trilogy. The opening scene was a really lovely tribute to Caeser and his legacy. The next sequence made me care about Noa, Suna, and Anaya AND tells us a lot about their culture. Noa has a good arc in this film, but has plenty of room to grow into another legend over the next two films.

@user-xp3mn9we3m nah I'm pretty sure at the start u can see the birthmark. Also noa is smarter than the other apes. Ceaser has the ALZ-112 while the other apes were given ALZ-113. Noa was able to fix the electric stick without even knowing what is was. Plus he looks like young ceaser. Also I'm pretty sure in the upcoming movies they going to go in depth of what happened to ceasers lineage as noa will bring other tribe apes together. Showing what happened to cornelius as well. as cornelius was literally just shown for a second on screen. So many hints that noa is a descendent of ceaser.

They are probably referencing the potential future of the Icarus returning. In Rise of the Planet of the Apes, the Icarus disappeared.
This movie really throws you into the environment and its soo believable!! Loved this movie.
i actually watched this earlier and it was FREAKING EPIC
In the scene where Noa was going towards the bridge where the scarecrows are, the score was the same as the '68 movie used when Taylor came from the forbidden zone. I was freaking in the theater from these references and I'm so glad that they aren't that gimmicky and fit perfectly even when people don't see or understand these references.
The doll was in the vault by the sea. In the original film they found the doll while digging in a cave by the sea. I think the cave where taylor, dr. Zeus , nova and the other chimps from the original movie arrive near the end of the film is at the same spot as the vault from KOTPOTA
You had me at "I'll be referring to as A.C." ...and then Jessplained it. 🙌🏻
In apes a sign of submission is looking down and looking directly in the eyes is a challenge. So when the villainous apes look their victims in the eyes it’s basically them saying they are in charge to varying degrees. In Koba’s case it’s more direct as he is turning against his leader but in the case in this movie it’s more a leader of one troop exerting his dominance over the leader of another. I love how subtle things like this are included in the apes actions and body language.
I really like the focus of racism in planet of the apes, i look at it as no matter who is in charge or the superior, we will always create segregation built upon class or strength etc
