@@obiwan8934 Yes, because Oblivion only helps restore Drive and Ultima only makes your MP recharge faster. Pumpkin multiplies your damage times 2, 3, 4 and forward the longer your combo lasts.

It was supposedly going to be Sora but Disney’s price tag was steep. Not sure if it’s true but it wouldn’t surprise me.

Fun fact: When I first beat this guy, I had no idea you could hit him out of his "Heartless Angel" attack, pretty sure there were plenty of times I unintentionally made the game harder for myself, for instance, did any of you guys know you can use Thunder to stop Demyx's water wall attack?

It depends in your playstyle if your focused more in Magic use Ultima or DP if you like more physical

I do like how at least Sephiroth puts you over implying he was basically toying with you the entire time.

@@shadowbolthaseo1861 well, technically the match with Sephiroth in kh1 was an arena match and to my knowledge arena fights are non cannon? They don’t acknowledge it in story mode at least in the us version. In the final mix one I think there’s a few more cutscenes. Also Sephiroth was played by somebody completely different in KH1 Lance Bass of NSYNC fame.

I fought and lost to Sephiroth for years as a kid in Vanilla and I didn't even level up the other drive forms then. Even when I got this on PS4, leveled up my drives, and equipped Retaliating Slash, it still took me a few tries before I finally beat that one-winged mama's boy. Then I watch this video of you effortlessly teaching Sephiroth the pecking order and wonder what else I've been doing wrong these past years.

I beat sephiroth in kh2 before seeing anything about ff7 and when I seen Tifa try to throw hands with Sephiroth I was thinking “This anime girl is about to get kebabbed”

Damn, that first perfect frame dodge role, no wonder this was a post capture. How many times did it take just to perfect that 1st instant death?

He lost twice and people still wonder why he is scared of sora in smash also he seems to forgot he already lost to him but then again everyone forgot sora for a while so I guess it makes sense

I am trying critical mode for the first time, I am at level 99, I have the Ultima Weapon, maxed out my AP, strength, and defense thanks to boosts, have all my abilities equipped, customized my Thundaga, Reflega, Curaga, and elixir for shortcuts, I'm stocked on elixirs and accessories, and yet I still can't beat this guy or avoid taking damage. Timing my friends, it is all about timing.

I never thought you could make Superman sound threatening.

I have to admit,it was the reason i started KH2,sure the mashups and so but sephirot....geez.still my favourite battle of them all. awesome work done,im happy getting him on normal,my respects. the music is also so fitting ^w^

Nice! I didn't realize you could dodge his triangle attack like that. Also, very nice counters and Reflects. Not enough people use those. Don't forget that you can use Trinity even when Sora is by himself. You can use it 3 times in a row if you time it right.

You did great here, Will; this kind of thing doesn't surprise me for the simple reason I already know you're beast at this :) I can't do this tactic because I don't got Dodge Roll; I got Quick Run instead and I don't use it lol Personally, on the PS2 version, I let myself get damaged when I battle Sephiroth; I prefered using all my MP Rage abilities and I kept using Reflega's aftertouch to stun Seph and do a ton of damage, then doing a flurry of Horizontal Slashes in midair Literally, the only thing Reflega didn't reflect was his HP/MP Waste attack that brings everything down to 1 HP/0 MP, and if you're watching his teleports you don't have to worry cuz you can just hit him lol Just thought I'd add an easier alternative. Pack a lot of elixirs; you don't wanna be left hanging.

After all these years Cloud was hopping around dissidia and smash bros and accidently ended up in ff7 remake where he hides hoping sephiroth wouldn't recognize him thus sadly he was recognized and playing ignorant wasn't gonna get him out of danger cause no matter what, Sephiroth would be there to go HELLO THERE!!!! The end....

This is the greatest achievement in human mankind

Please tell me how you can consistently avoid his instant teleport upper slash attack? Its way too fast for me to actually react too, and it is way too dangerous to try and pre-empt it because of his other two attacks. That attack is literally the only reason he has beaten me 50 times now, and I've killed Sephiroth plenty of times before on PS2 and PS3. I feel like the 60fps makes him harder.

Oh ok that's what I was going to recommend. But in the first phase I can predict it. When he does it normally he will teleport twice back to back. When he teleports it usually leaves a little orb behind or whatever you want to call it but he will do that twice before using it. You can also hear him teleport twice then you can predict and react to it. In the final phase I just react to it because it's faster like you said. You probably would have a better time by leveling up limit form and your dodge roll.

Because KH past 2 are not games designed by the FF team. It's a lower budget developer. They simply do not have enough experience to add substance like KH1 and KH2 had done to them.

Its so weird that in a way sephiroth was actually kind of a down to earth chill guy once

And now you can do this a third time...and a fourth time...and fifth, and so on. You can even do it in his KHIII outfit to cover that lost opportunity. Also, for those wondering why Tifa is Cloud's light as Sephiroth is his darkness, instead of Aerith: play the original again. Look and see how much of Cloud's psyche revolves around Tifa. His need to be stronger, and his criteria for considering himself a shameful failure can be summed up with three words: I failed Tifa." Tifa is not just some childhood girl he had a crush on. She was EVERYTHING to him, including his sense of self-worth, and it just intensified after he failed to save her from Mt. Nibel and her father and the townsfolk unfairly blamed him for it. Advent Children is him dealing with several traumas all at once that wouldn't be so bad if his mental state wasn't so bad due to having a Meteor-sized inferiority complex. He mopes about failing to stop Sephiroth from killing Aerith, his adopted son is dying coz of a disease he himself is now dying of, all projections of what he constantly feels as failing Tifa. Cloud constantly lives thinking of himself as a worthless failure. Something most of us deal with. And that voice that tells us how much we suck? That's Sephiroth. But Tifa in turn is his motivation to keep going.

How do you record at 60fps 720? Mine always defaults at 30fps. Is it because im using orig ps4?

Yes finally found someone who pretty much beat him how I did when I was twelve. Everyone else you can tell they beat him on easy... I remember having to flawlessly beat him cause he would kill me in two hits. Awesome vid man

It's how you can counterattack faster since it takes longer for you to finish the reaction command. Dodging allows you to get your attacks in quicker, but it takes some guts to try it.
