I swear every single run of any Kingdom Hearts game always has top notch commentary AND top notch gameplay every time A lot of other runs don't have that feel Glad we have these guys representing the KH speedrunning community and the KH community as a whole

@@MrNocturnOwl I also find so many runners explain as they play which makes it even easier to start out. I've been doing the 1.5 ps4 beginner run for about a week now and thanks to how awesome the community is in just that week I've dropped from 5hr40mins to 2hrs56mins and the execution issues I have I completely understand I just need to implement them. I really love this community so much

People have been complaining that KH3 looks too 'floaty'. Meaning it's too easy to get a ground enemy into an air combo and stay in the air for a prolonged period. (Like Mickey plays in KH2) This is a trend that has been going on after KH2. Back in KH1 and 2, you can knock someone into the air and then hit them maybe twice before landing.

Floaty means more like every hit is too smooth, swordplay is supposed to be about fast snappy attacks that have a heavy feeling, not about slowly grinding butter with a knife that gives no feeling of weight. That and the over the top lengthy animations for each attack take away the feeling of control. In kh1&2 you press the attack button, you will do a fast snappy attack (dodge slash is an exception), intricate and lengthy animations are reserved for heavy finishing moves that deal ridiculous damage and are meant to be over the top.

Well the whole point of air combos in kh1 and kh2 is that you sink to the ground so fast that you can instantly start a new one. If you are too light and floaty, it removes all the time saved. Then in both the air and on the ground you get caught in these ridiculously long aftercasts every time you finish a combo and it makes combos not only suboptimal, but not even remotely worth using. A kingdom hearts game where combos aren't worth using just isn't that fun.

I really hope KH3 combat feels good. I haven’t heard anyone talk about the details from playing demos apart from a while ago I saw people mention it’s a bit floaty and Square heard and actually pushed the release date back a bit saying they’ll try to fix that lol. so I hope it feels at least very similar to KH2 cause honest to god I haven’t really played any action games other than KH2 itself that are both simple to pick up and feel really fantastic

If there's one thing I've learned from watching KH speedruns, it's that Spike loves a good menu.

The soft singing of One Winged Angel while Rizz focuses hard is making me cry with laughter! Commitment!

This run was incredible. Such amazing chemistry between all of them just made it that much more enjoyable

Just an absolutely thrilling video from start to finish.

Spent 9 hours fighting marluxia while watching this. Still haven't beaten him. I'm now crying.

This was so enjoyable to watch. You can just tell the everyone is just having a good time and it shows.

How the living hell does this video have any thumbs down? Seriously?? This is a beautiful run, in everyway! Even the commentary ! I absolutely love this. I actually am completely obsessed, and it's really gotten me thru a depression. I have watched this run, over and over again. And I am very grateful for everyone at RPG and games done quick and the KH community! Keep up the great work and great job on all the donations! Love you guys!

2:11:29 Man that encounter gave me so much trouble in my Crit playthrough. Wish I had taken the time to devise a strategy like that for it instead of just throwing myself at the wall until I broke through.

hahaha oh god

playing on critical atm was stuck on that space paranoid bike part for at least 2hrs getting destroyed cornering and the enemies being right on top of me. finally was able to do it barely. all this after being violated by berserkers in that sandlot fight. but it feeeeeeels so good after beating a hard fight

Wasn't an All Worlds Critical PB for Rizz, but he does sort of a separate "All Worlds All Absent Silhouettes + Sephiroth" category (which has the amusing "All ASS" category name) from time to time, which is really hard to do on critical, it just all came together today.

Rizzle is my favorite kh2 runner

I couldn't tell you why but on my first couple KH2/2FM runs I was stupidly conservative with my drive gauge. I didn't use forms or summons very much. Speedruns have taught me that was very dumb lol
