I've played this game literally countless times, and I never knew you could put out the fires a second time. I always used Blizzara on them as soon as I got it, I didn't know I could then use Blizzaga for an even better piece of equipment after I got that spell.

This is an amazing tutorial! I went and got all the prerequisites and beat him on my first try. Thanks to all the ice resistance accessories he didn't do much damage to me and I was able to tank a lot of hits before having to heal.

The best and most informative guide by far.

I tried this guide on the OG KH1 (not the 1.5 remix) so some accessories and abilities aren’t available, but this guide still helped me beat the ice titan on the first go! It also did help that I’m on level 70 with the Ultima keyblade. Now on to try my hand at beating Sephiroth.

No matter how good a guide is, nothing changes the fact that this is one of the worst boss fights ever.

I forgot how much he drove me crazy!!!

Would you be able to make a guide that explains the basics of things that the game doesn't tell you well such as, tech points vs experience points, the different orbs, mentioning hidden stats on different keyblades, if you should switch to the Disney characters or keep on the trio in New worlds, etc. I don't know much but I'm trying to, yet it's also pretty difficult when I either don't know what I'm trying to look up or even know something is a feature in the first place. Also a guide on leveling up early game, before anti-sora, and late game would be amazing too!

If you chose the Shield at the beginning, you won't get MP Haste and MP Rage until level 72 and 90 respectively, so this guide is more suited for those who chose Sword or Staff?

It took me 3 failed attempts before I got it on my 4th 😂 the first 2 was getting used to timing the guards, 3rd was bad luck, and on my 4th go I forgot to replenish my items so went in with only 1 elixir but I did it😅 I feel so accomplished now

Looks like Ice Titan fights exactly the same in FM as he does in OG. Second-easiest optional boss, IMO. You don't have to run all around him after he recovers from his stun, though. Just run, roll, and jump along the Coliseum steps until the Titan is facing you. Also, the only times you should be on the arena floor are at the very beginning of the fight and when you go to combo the Titan while he's stunned.

can you sell the Shiva belt? because i don’t have it and i did do the secret chest in olympus

Just a question: is Firaga also a good tool in this fight? Or does it not work against the ice titan?

Hi, Edoko - great question! Firaga can be used to damage the Ice Titan while locked on to its head, but you'll need to get a bit close to him for it to make contact. And because of all the incoming projectiles, it's tough to cast it consistently without taking damage yourself. Your best opportunity to cast Firaga repeatedly is when the Ice Titan is staggered.

Can it be that they slighty changed his ice patterns in FM? I remember fighting him in the original and most of his iceicle attacks were deflectable, but not so in FM.

There might be some slight variations in their speed, maybe? All of the Ice Titan's icicle projectile attacks can be deflected in the Final Mix version (assuming the player doesn't cast Aero magic), but some formations are easier to deflect than others.

I never knew the Ice Titan has a name until Lorcana, his name is Hydros

Again, thanks for the guide. Made this boss very easy (I don't normally have guard equipped so my first round was very "What do I do?"). This made it a piece of cake. I do find this boss level a bit disappointing. Too much going on all at once. You're trying to deflect icicles whilst also a new attack starts up in the middle of that. It's not like Kurt Zisa who I find a tough but fair fight. He's a good test of your skill and precision, but any time I died I thought that was on me. This fight was just all over the place though

How did you get as far as Ice Titan without equipping Guard ... ? 🤨 Did you just grind until you got your EXP up to like the 80's? That's sounds a good deal less fun without Guard.

​@@DeinedDodge Roll is more useful than Guard, in my experience. You usually only need one or the other.

@@Mr-Trox Yeah, Dodge Roll is more useful overall in the game, but not so much against Ice Titan. Deflecting his icicles back to him makes the fight much easier, and deflecting's more easily done with Guard than striking at them. It's also better to avoid Titan's attacks by running, jumping, and gliding.

@@Deined I was just pointing out how someone could get all the way to Ice Titan without Guard. I pretty much always have it equipped, but the only times I consistwntly use it are when the Battle requires it instead of Aeroga.

I put out all the fires and opened the chest it didn't give me the Shiva belt or have the blizzagun band at the accessory shop I'm at level 57 and completed the main storyline and see stuff I'm playing this on the playstation 2 I can't level up to 60 anytime soon since I've finished everything and at the door to fight ansem. I beat the hades cup also have to fight the ice giant, seperoth, the phantom at the clock, the hidden boss in Aladdins world

Hi, Alyssa! The Shiva Belt is exclusive to the Final Mix version of the game, so that won't be an option for you on PS2. Your best option is to purchase Blizzaga Rings from the Accessory Shop in Traverse Town - those will increase your ice resistance!

Casted blizzaga on all 4 flames and got a Holy-G and accessory shop on has the Blizzaga Ring, not seeing Blizzagun... currently at The End of The World 🤔😅

Hey ortolaza! Holy-G is the reward for casting Blizzara on the braziers; there should be another chest on the opposite side of the area after casting Blizzaga on the braziers. But keep in mind that the Blizzagun band and Shiva Belt are only available in the Final Mix version of the game! 👍

lmfao took me an hour to beat him. I didn't know this technique. I just spammed gravity and heal constantly with two MP rage equipped.

The Pegasus Cup becomes available after completing the story episode in Monstro. The Hades Cup becomes available later in the story (I don't want to spoil that in case it's a first playthrough for ya!).

Honestly the easiest super boss so far for me took 4 try’s

Soo does he not just constantly for like 10 mins just shoot the shards that cant be deflected.....Ive had this happened and couldn't deal damage and lost.....3 video i saw where yall are getting insanely lucky

Hi there! Just to confirm: you are NOT using Aero magic on Sora and you're still seeing the Ice Titan send the larger icicles? That's a new one for me! As far as I'm aware, those larger icicles only appear when Sora has Aero magic active.

@@KHGuides I AM in fact using Aero...i know how to play.....Is this a bug or something.....He constantly shoots the larger ice spikes that aero or guard cant deflect....Im playing the final mix on the all in one pack....In fact it might Aero that scripts him to constantly shoot the larger shards?

@@packofweaviles1027 Yep, that's correct! As long as your Aero magic is active, the Ice Titan will always send the larger icicles that cannot be blocked/deflected. I'd recommend not casting Aero for this fight. See 2:34 in this tutorial video! 👍
