To be fair, on PC the detail is so good I never even noticed that the grass was 2D. They put the graphical detail where it really mattered and cut back in the right places, so it still looks great - not nearly as good as say cyberpunk 2077, but since it didn't have CDprojecktRed budget, etc... it is still phenomenal to look at, and the fact they managed to get it running on a nintendo machine is an actual miracle.

I used to play a ton of Skyrim on the Switch, despite having a couple of other games on it. Looks like this one is gonna be my next Skyrim

I have both a ps5 and Xbox and still ended up getting the switch version out of all 3 systems mainly because of the ability to play this in handheld mode…looking forward to playing this for the first time

Been playing on Switch and it’s a legit amazing port.

Second like, woo! Love you SxyBiscuit! Can't bloody believe they pulled another miracle and got this running. I was seriously waiting for the game to explode when venturing up onto the wall at night in the rain. That early scene tanks my high end laptop yet somehow runs relatively well on Switch. Absolutely crazy.

Has to be something weird going on. My PC is smooth in that scene, and it's only got an old GTX 1070. I did notice that some settings, I think shadows or lighting iirc, make that scene hard to run if the settings are too high. Probably because of the torches and wet surfaces.

Hello! Just recently bought and completed the game on Series X and have some feedback on some of the bugs you mentioned. The black screen with UI still active happened twice during my first play though. Once while also fast traveling from Rattay but to Uzhitz, no idea what caused it and once after washing in a trough, while calling my horse. Perhaps combo of inputs causes issue? As for the random flash of black while walking through Rattay gate, it happened to me several times while walking near where Sir Radzig was by the southern gate while still having BoB dlc quest active and disappeared after completing it. Hope this helps in any way!

I've just restarted this on xbox series x and as much as I'd like 60fps, the game is still absolutely gorgeous and is definitely one of the best games I've played in recent years. The world detail is just fantastic.

Yea, battery life. Steam Deck chumps love to sing praises about graphical fidelity on the deck but fail to mention that battery life tanks with the increased fidelity and they end up having to be tethered to a wall (doesn't sound like a portable console to me). The battery life on this game is almost as impressive as the fact that it even exists on the Switch to begin with. I played for two hours tonight and battery went from full charge down to about 78%. Some 1st party Nintendo games (like Tears of the Kingdom) don't last that long.

Olena stops being your horse after you enter the talmberg cutscene, you need to remove everything from the horse before entering the cutscene, the trigger is near the talmberg quarry.

I have to say, I love switch version. It's unbelievable that it's running just fine on switch. I mean come on, switch is so old and this is KCD! I already played it on xbox one and PS5, but I wanted to hear czech language so bad. I'm excited and playing it every day again

It's smaller but the overall gameplay is more complex

I think it's a very good port. The frame rate is not the best, but somehow it's not that noticable due to the KDC slow gameplay. :)

I think a side by side video showing graphic difference between switch and pc will do quite well... is it fair? no. But will be interesting to see side by side.

I don't have that weird jerky bug (which you're displaying on the bridge in Rattay). Using up to date version on PC, with some mods.

It looks like you've got the FOV cranked to the extreme.

Sorry to ask this: Is the Switch version censored from nude scenes? I notice during screenplay - the introduction video cutscene : those ladies are with clothings...did someone notice it as well?

This looks so much better than the Witcher 3 port, which I thought looked terrible but everyone praises too. I'm not sure I'm ready to take the risk until a sale but this is very tempting (Update) Went ahead and bought on physical. Definitely plays better than Witcher 3, in my opinion. Of course it doesn't look as good as on my series s but is worth it to have portable. Have only had one crash in 25 hours. Played through the Woman's Lot dlc and everythings been good enough to be worth it.

Playing thought this on Xbox x right now and still holds up to this date. 60fps would be nice though 😢

KDC is the new Skyrim - I might wait for the Sega emulator on phone edition Or the airplane screen version Or the board game 4th edition Or the Alexa text adventure! Or the KDC carved in soap is always fun…

well, it is literally impossible to picklock with shitty switch thumbstick, the only way I could start pick locking is by using pro controller. Everything else is absolutely amazing

Found the game to be fairly boring personally. It just feels older than it really is. On console I don’t have an option for my native language in text and I can’t read English fast enough to finish time sensitive dialogue. Run out of time before I’ve read the second option every time. Side quest were mostly fetch quest. Main story is predictable without any context of historic events. Combat goes from brutally difficult to mind numbing easy. Everything is “clunky” in the name of realism. I believe in the room you start the game in you practically need to stand on the table to reach some bread on it. Henry often says things you don’t mean to say much like in Fallout 4. Like when you think you are politely declining he is rude and basically says “f off”. You then “lose” reputation which is an odd way of conveying you gained negative reputation. Lose reputation would be people forgetting you exist… I really like the save system however the game HAS to be stable. When it crashes not only do you lose a lot of progress but there is a good chance things won’t go as well for you on subsequent attempts. And on Switch? HARD PASS. I recently completed the game on a PS5, lackluster at best with a muddy resolution and 30 fps. This is definitely a game that needs to be played on PC.

This probably means this game could be ported too phone lol

$50 on Switch, or $5 right now on Steam. Hmmm. 🤔

Well, the steam version wouldn't run on my old laptop anyway, so I guess it's $50 or nothing in my case. I bet there's other people out there who have only the switch as a gaming platform (I personally know a few). Not everyone is a hardcore gamer.

I mean, its ok if you want to play a switch, but ill only ever play this game on PC, comparing the 2, of course, it looks like ass on the switch, but im honestly surprised it was able to even run on switch at all, they didnt do a bad job as far as stability is concerned, i can only guess that people's switches are running so hot they can cook eggs on it lol.

As you know, nobody cares about next gen, it s bad.

It runs better on the Steam Deck

Bout it at midnight when jt dropped on switch id give it 8/10 for fps issues and graphics but its a great port an i already have over 65 hours on a playthrough
