I brought a switch just to play this. I had Breath of the Wild on my radar for year's but never got round to it. Now after spending nearly 200 hour's on Tears of the kingdom, I feel if I ever played Breath of the Wild, it would be déjà vu...

Love both but fuse and ascend make totk way better. Plus if you love botw it’s basically modded botw with added story

Yes games like Ni No Kuni, Dragon Quest XI, The Witcher 3 and RDR are clearly all 20th place to BOTW… You BOTW fan boys are something else…

Fenyx: Rising is sooooo good. One of my favorite games of all time. It's like BotW but with even more story, more comedy, and a completely customizable protagonist 💜 I can't wait for the next installment

I tried kingdom come deliverance several times. I just couldn’t get past the clunky controls. I love Fenyx, BOTW and TOTK

Borderlands really isn’t an “open world” game. Sure. There is non-linearity to it with backtracking through areas and side quests. But, it is more of a story progression game with unlockable small open areas as you progress. You can’t just get up and go anywhere from the beginning and by the end when you open up everything, you essentially are finished with most stuff and ready to move on to a new play through.

Ark survival evolved good play survival?

*Legend of zelda TOTK* is the best "open-air" game of all time...... MUST TRY game for all ages (i.e. until the next new gen zelda game is released)

Sonic frontiers is also another good open world game

The sheer size of Hyrule in both games.

Zelda games usually never disappoint. Can't find anything quite like it and I've tried. Spend money on games I can't get into nothing compared imo

im not watching the whole list but it shoudl include underrated titles like: -Subnautica/No Mans Sky/Saints Row 3 +4 though id go 4 as its less of a GTA knockoff & original

Astral Chain is more like semi-open world. But if it would count as open world, it definitely deserves a spot on the list. It‘s one of the best Switch games ever made…

Whilst i loved Red Dead Redemption it is not the sequel. Red Dead 2 is the sequel and for me, it wasn’t as good as the first one.

The controls in Witcher 3 are pretty shocking. Geralt slides around all over the place. It's a deal breaker for me, sadly.

The Witcher controls the same on Switch and PS5 (I play with cross saves and NYXI controllers in handheld)… don‘t know what you are talking about. And please don‘t disrespect games like RDR, Skyrim, Xenoblade etc…

HL was amazing. Rowling didn’t make the game. The game introduced the first transgender character of the HP universe. Rowling is not transphobe just because she refuses an idea that is based on feelings alone and is not grounded in science…
