I’ve found salmon and steelhead like a drift as opposed to trout ripping them straight down the riffles and stuff. I’d love to see you technique for salmon since they seem to fish a little differently !

    Glad to see a new salmon fishing video. Was wondering how the salmon run is this year in terms of fishing as I am trying to catch my first one. I live near Toronto. You got any tips of where and when to fish for kings? How often do you catch them?

  • @adamg.5854

    @adamg.5854

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hey, I'm from Ontario as well and fish a lot for salmon in the rivers. Toronto has some great rivers for salmon in the area. They should be running by now and will be for a bit longer. Look for any rivers that flow into Lake Ontario and they should get runs of salmon. You can find ones with the biggest runs online. Be patient, as it can be tough to get your first and you might not get one this season. Good luck!

    I live in the Pacific Northwest and the fish don’t color up green like that, even the rainbow trout was green, is it because the water is warm. In Oregon the salmon do turn green and then black but it seems even the fresh fish have some weird green color to it in Michigan

    Hey Fray, I moved to MI for college last year and got into chuck and duck. This year I’ve been trying to get the kings to bite hardware and am having a difficult time. Just wondering how late in the season the kings will bite hardware and cranks Thanks!

    As long as you can find them and get it in front of them! They bite hardware out of aggression. If you can get something flashy in front of them long enough to make em mad they will hit! Later season fish do seem to take more patience though

    @@jaybee3204 Thanks, I talk to lots of people on the river about how they behave at different times in the season. Some say they just straight up stop hitting hardware at a certain point.

    I do not fish piers often. The spots I fish involve long hikes so unfortunately I cannot help you there. Good luck !

    I fish piers fairly often, definitely doable if you time it right! Biggest thing I'd recommend if you're starting is to pay attention to water temperatures
