I was just watching some of your older black streamers for coho. And you got a Atlantic in one... I didn't think it looked like you were flossing those ... Please keep your streamer videos 🙏 i appreciate them greatly. I love tying my own and i plan to tie a few of the black with green eyes that you posted.

Nice review! It's just too bad about SmithFly. They really blew a potentially good brand. Here's my honest review / cautionary tale of our recent SmithFly ordeal: -They hit our card for the full amount when we ordered. Not insignificant on $5k boat and when the stated 4-6 week lead time turned out to be 4-6 months. We were lied to numerous times about the status of our order. -The boat we finally received 6+ months later arrived with visible defects. Ethan admitted to taking manufacturing shortcuts. He told me to fix it myself and that he will replace it when he can. That was almost 7 months ago. Or I could pay another $500 to ship it back to him to be repaired. Why have a Warranty at all? -He never shipped the accessory order I placed and refuses to refund it. It's been almost a year and I'm out $325. Not sure what you call that where you are from?

Way to use a center pin with a drag dude. So many losers would rather fluff off 3 fish to every one they land without a proper drag. Centerpins and kings go good with a hefty ,smooth drag!

In small streams like that, using a small jig and twitching it in front of the salmon will more than likely agitate it to bite. In my experience all salmon will bite a bright jig in front of them, being on the Pacific coast.

I live in Southwest Michigan the county of Ottawa. Every year here is scarce and a very hard hunt. If we end up with a dozen for the entire season, we feel satisfied. Because there is years that we only find a couple. We never get the baskets full like some places I’ve seen in Michigan.

Sounds to me like your identifying ashtrays? I am definitely not a tree expert either. But the ash tree I think of as poplars tree. And they have grooved gray bark at the bottom, which turns smooth, going up and pure white. Very tall, majestic trees.

Fray, who makes the artic spinner and have you ever tried the spinner on the center pin? You can by take a float and move it up to 4 feet or how ever deep and swing your spinner as the float keeps it off the bottom!

My ratio of bite to snag is 25% bite but Im using 4 egg bags. The bigger chunks of skein might help with that and save my arm from all that destruction and spooking the fish.
