This is ridiculous. These are trained military personnel in uniform performing their duty. Warriors. They deserve honor and respect. This is not Disneyworld and the soldiers are not actors. These tourists wouldn't try that in less friendly counties because it wouldn't be tolerated and they'd never be allowed that close. Give these soldiers their personal space. Take your picture and move on.

Why dont the tourist organisations inform visitors about not getting too close to guards. They are there doing a job.

These guards were not working at a car was a week ago. They are the elite, the best of the best.

I'm a Kiwi and I've been to Arlington and to the tomb of the unknown soldier and I never saw the guards there treated with the lack of respect that is shown to the King's Guards. When I've travelled I've always respected the culture and customs of those Countries.

Would you do that to a stranger in the street? Of course not, then why with a soldier on duty!

You can’t get anywhere close to the prime minsters or the presidents residence in India. (Without getting your head blown up, ofcourse). I’m beginning to think British have no respect for themselves. Why do you allow clueless tourists to get near your king’s guard? You can’t let them be so accessible to tourists to play around with and also say they’re not for touristy-acts and they’re actual military delivering a service to the nation. It’s a disgrace to let your military be treated this way. Some of them are utterly disrespectful ,laughing at the soldiers.

Although never at this level, I have worked in security. So I appreciate what these guards do, which is why I would treat them with respect if I were to ever visit England.

The royal guards are not there for decoration, nor for the entertainment of the public. They are real soldiers on full alert. And they demand absolute respect from the public. The fact that in several phases they show great tolerance does not negate the fact that they can capture if necessary.
