Regarding Goldin's show... How in the world did Steve Lichtman's T206 Wagner card receive a grade of an SGC 5? I have T206's that have sharper corners, cleaner edges, etc., that received SGC 2. I have never seen a worse condition SCG 5 grade of ANY card from ANY era. Is there some collusion here that compelled SGC to give the card three grades better than it deserved?

Grading is arbitrary. Most people are too dumb to realize.

It's interesting to see that Fanatics set itself up to compete with Goldin Auctions and eBay. Meanwhile, Collector's Universe, in spinning off Goldin Auctions and acquiring SGC, set itself up so that it does not really have to work as hard to compete. Funny how things work out.

A T206 in an sgc slab is not surprising. Before everyone's obsession with psa over the last 5 years, sgc was most popular grader for vintage. That said, i wont give any attention to anything associated with Ken Goldin. Dude has a case for being the BIGGEST conman in the history of this hobby. The last thing he deserves is attention, at least positive attention.

The 2nd last ep they are auctioning on a 1/1 Messi card and they start”making phone calls to get bids”. Isn’t that shill bidding? Lol.

comment on the national with people on wait lists…. I will relate that to the washington redskins… when I was a kid there was about a 10 year wait list to get season tickets… that made them VERY valuable.. thru time that eroded… you can get season tickets any time now… they were much more valuable when u could not get them…. so yeah if national tables become available easy they will decrease in value just like redskins seasons tickets… you r a newbie to the hobby…. and do not understand how ur thoughts decrease the value of what u r talking about… wait lists increase the value of an item… simple economics.. and I will say again the 85 star card u bought is not the true rookie card of jordan.. the 86 fleer is based on the 4 established rules….

Morning!!

The show is amusing, but misses the mark in many areas. The one thing about it that does ring true is the size of Ken's ego. He brings new meaning to the term "narcissist".

If I'm the National organizers, I want to know every vendor at my show. I don't want someone to smuggle some random dealer that could be a card cleaner, scammer or scumbag, because I don't want anyone to feel like they were taken advantage of.
