After rewatching all of the Monsterverse films, I am actually starting to categorize Kong as a B tier at most. Kong is definitely not at Godzilla's level and without that beast glove, Godzilla would've defeated Kong pretty easily in Egypt. Ghidorah is definitely an S tier titan in the Monsterverse thanks to his wicked fast healing factor and the fact that Ghidorah is actually more powerful than Godzilla. Also, the only way to truly defeat Ghidorah is by destroying every last cell in his body. To completely vaporize him and Kong definitely does not have the ability to vaporize Ghidorah. Ghidorah is just simply too powerful for Kong and on top of that, Kong can't heal from his wounds the same way that Ghidorah can. I absolutely love Kong and he is actually my favorite titan in the Monsterverse but, Kong is losing to Ghidorah 10 out of 10 times!

Nah he’s S tier. The beast glove didn’t give him much of a buff. It only gave him adrenaline so he could have energy and recover from the frost bite. It gives him protection and a harder punch. Being able to KO evolved Godzilla temporarily. Which should scale above ghidorah so Kong is an S tier titan

It greatly increased the strength of his punch, he was able to send Godzilla flying away with 1 punch and was able to easily knock Godzilla out. His physical strength is the same, only the strength of his punch has been increased!!

No. He's either high A Tier or low S tier. Kong is a match for Godzilla physically. Not as durable yes, but faster and equal in strength. It was Godzilla's atomic breath and experience that gave him the advantage. Kong's axe makes up for the atomic breath and it was Godzilla's experience that allowed him to win. Without that, it would be a 50/50 fight. Against Ghidorah it would be the same if Kong has the beast glove with the axe and actually in Kong's favor if the axe or glove can absorb Ghidorah's gravity beams. Ghidorah is about equal to Godzilla and if Kong can give Godzilla a good fight, he would with Ghidorah. He would win if they had similar experience, and if Kong had the axe and glove.

Even that wouldn't help King Ghidorah has a Regenerate rate he can grow his Heads again. Plus the Axe is made from a scale of a Godzilla Relative so its Build to Absorb Godzilla Atomic Breath. It's not made to Absorb King Ghidorah Lighting Attacks.

Btw just letting you know, Kevin aka the head that got cut off is cut off EXTREMELY often. He has skulls of his all across the planet lol. He has been cut off so often his regeneration is just overpowered. The main head and the other head on the side opposite of Kevin do not have that strong of regeneration in comparison. Just normal slow regeneration, atleast for a Titan.

I’m more of a Kong fan I was thinking the same thing while watching this. Danco is slipping here. He got so many things wrong. But with Skar King, Kong was going to beat him anyway in a drawn out fight. Kong was whooping him in the city but Skar King kept tagging in Shimo. But yeah Ghidorah would whip the floor with Kong.

​@thelegacies7147 it was blocking Shimo's flash freeze, it wasn't absorbing it...the axe only absorbs the atomic radiation of Godzilla's species. Which even if the axe could block Ghidorah's gravity rays, they curve and arc like lightning, so Kong can't block them with the axe fully...just like he couldn't with Shimo's ice. Godzilla's atomic breath goes straight, Ghidorah's gravity rays are more spread.

@@thelegacies7147actually Kong was putting up a better fight against mecha than Godzilla was! In the end they both would have died without each other tho. I agree that Dan wasn’t on point with this one but I’m sick of ppl talking down on Kong when MV constantly puts him in mismatched fights that clearly have 1 outcome. Kong should have had his axe and glove in GVK and in GxK he shouldn’t have not only gotten bigger but should have received some kind of amp to his durability. They just keep increasing his size but he is still outmatched regardless…

Alright so here’s the thing, I find this question incredibly obvious. When someone asked Greg Keys something about a statement from the novel regarding evolved Godzilla’s final amp from the final battle, it gives a bit more context on things. Observe: The fan: “Okay so, I was able to get my hands on some scans starting with these. So when Monarch says that this was energy that they never seen before, would this mean that his energy levels would've been higher than Burning Godzilla's from KOTM?” Greg: “Higher, don't know. Different. And in control. He's not about to explode this time.” Clearly implying that it’s essentially burning Godzilla but in a far more controlled state. Mind you, that statement the fan was referring to was talking about the final amp evolved Godzilla had. And in the final battle, we can literally see Shimo endure a prolonged blast from this amped evolved Godzilla. In fact, she was still standing from that attack. While yes, Godzilla did have to ambush her, it’s still a good durability feat. And after that point, there was a period of time where they were just fighting with each other. A lot of off-screen moments, but it’s still implied that they were fighting in those moments. And the glimpses that we do see if their fight are kinda unquantifiable, we don’t know who’s winning or losing, so the least we can say is that their relative. And it was all through a period of time of them fighting. So the fact that Shimo can fight on par with someone who is burning Godzilla tier, the same burning Godzilla that was shown to three shot a supercharged Ghidorah & not even flinch from his blows… is all you need to say to put Shimo above Ghidorah. By a massive degree. And base evolved Godzilla was also shown to fight on par with Shimo. Maybe not as much as amped evolved Godzilla since base evolved G was losing the 1v1’s and needed help from Mothra or could only truly attack Shimo by ambush. But there are still a multitude of scenes where base evolved can go relative with Shimo, not as much as amped evolved, but still to some degree. Meaning that base evolved would also scale somewhat relative to amped Evolved who’s essentially a more controlled burning Godzilla. The same burning Godzilla that three shots a supercharged Ghidorah. So amped evolved Goji > supercharged Ghidorah AND base evolved Goji > supercharged Ghidorah And seeing how Kong can knock base evolved Godzilla off his feet, make him roar in pain from his punch, being able to physically keep him down via the punching, taking no damage from him, ect. It’s safe to say that Kong with the gauntlet can fight on par with said Godzilla Therefore, Kong with the gauntlet > supercharged Ghidorah

@@shahcamranahmed9056 this was actually said outside of the novel, from an official source known as Greg keys. But even then, the novels are just further adaptations for the movie. People read it to learn more. And this was specifically referring to evolve Godzilla’s final amp in the final battle. Where his entire body was full of that pink hue. THAT was the form Greg was referring to. So his final amp was elaborated to be a more controlled burning Godzilla. Godzilla struggling against Shimo doesn’t disprove anything. It just upscales her to his tier. And it makes sense since she was originally known as “the ultimate titan” in the ancient era. So she’s clearly meant to be a high tier villain in terms of power.

@@Whance_Chilkins the only way Godzilla survived for much longer is bcz he's too durable, Kong maybe smart but he's not much durable compared to Godzilla, and Ghidorah is even more durable than Godzilla. And don't forget Ghidorah has 3 heads, he won't miss a shot. So there is no way Kong is gonna survive for long. + It was Thermo-Godzilla who killed Ghidorah, there is no way Kong can beat Ghidorah when he can just regenerate like nothing happened.

Ghidorah is going to have a difficult time hitting his target. Besides, Ghidorah got obliterated by a less evolved Godzilla. Kong has been able to stand toe to toe with the stronger Godzilla.

And what the fk are you talking about, Ghidorah is not just gonna fly and shoot lighting and even if he does that he still wins bcz Kong can't do anything then, Ghidorah is massive, powerful and way more durable than kong. Ghidorah can shoot him, bite him, smash him, lift him up to the sky just like he did with Godzilla, Godzilla is durable so he survived the fall and Kong got his arm broken when Godzilla smashed him to the building so if Ghidorah throws him from that height, he's dead. Godzilla had help while fighting Ghidorah and he still lost, even if Kong is agile he's not flash, Ghidorah has 3 heads and he can shoot multiple targets at a single time, if Godzilla can hit him so Ghidorah can 100%. And what's Kong gonna do like what's your point ? Ghidorah regenerates so nothing happens but if Ghidorah hits Kong then it's over. So all of your points are invalid. No matter what you say, Kong doesn't even have a 1% chance against Ghidorah.
