Yeah, It's not even close on the side of minus one. The author of shin godzilla confirmed that the nude that the us was going to drop on godzilla would have killed him and minus one was capable of surviving a similar explotion point blank before becoming irradiated and powerful. Also, shin can't even level a whole city completely before shuting down for 15 days, while minus one can Fire a more powerful atomic breath with much less drawback. Also, minus one has better regeneración Yeah, shin has potencial to be incredibly powerful but he'll probably never live up to that potential.

Then there's the fact that Shin can already shoot missiles down, so nukes are basically useless one way or another. All your arguments rely on Shin staying the same. Too bad, he doesn't. Shin can absolutely scale so much more than -1. Since you mentioned Shin's director, you should also look up the original story for Shin, which makes it clear why Shin wins.

Yes, his cellular multiplication ability is nothing that minus 1, or even legendary are able to pull off. If his body gets torn apart an a piece of him remains, that piece will grow and evolve to counter that attack.

They're both great movies :) But yeah i feel like -1 is much closer to the original 1954 version than shin(and obviously better visuals). Shin was kind of like a way to return to the "true" godzilla after deviating from the nuclear monster that godzilla was meant to be.(Shin can mean true in japanese after all)

minus godzilla struggle against ww2 level equipment and buildings while shin becomes unvulnerable to the most modern equipment after the bunker busters and level heavier buildings like they don't weight anything, i don't even know why people's keep saying minus one would win since he'd get killed instantly each time he tries to get to shin (and just saying that bunker busters does the job that nukes can't meaning shin would definitely tank multiple nukes without any problems before and after the bunker buster evolution)

Fun fact: the difference between shin goji and normal gojis back story is that shin was an ancient sea creature. Most likely some sort of 20 meter fish while others usually started out as a pre radiated goji

Plus according to the movie, shin has extreme regenerative properties and can regenerate like a starfish which means if a piece if him breaks off, he'll grow it back and that broken of piece would grow into it's own life form. It is extremely likely that shin will get blown apart and pieces of him wouod be sent everywhere and each pierce would eventually grow into it's own life form

In the movie Shin Godzilla, the characters said that Shin Godzilla wouldn’t be able to survive a nuclear blast. Meanwhile Minus One literally fires just that, Shin def has more potential but at his fourth form he takes too long to charge his breath. So yeah, Shin with prep will win but if they randomly bump into each other, Minus One does oneshot.

I just love how both Minus One and Shin are both in pain. While Shin is in constant pain, Minus One feels the pain when he uses his atomic breath. I heard that it also burns his mouth when he uses it.

his form 1 wasnt just a big worm. that was only his tail. the movie never showed the whole form 1. but you can find pictures online if you look it up of what his entire form 1 looks like. also shin can multiply through dismemberment. blow him into pieces and each and every piece will not only form a new shin. but each and every one will also be evolved to counter what just blew them up

Something I would have loved to see more elaboration on is Minus One's nuke breath. You clearly stated that bunker busters were strong enough to damage Shin, it becomes obvious that a nuke would have an effect on him as well. The radiation wouldn't pose a problem as we know he is powered by it, but the blast and immense heat could potentially destroy him in an instant if he is caught dead center of the blast. Just like Minus One, Shin needs to have a part of him survive an attack in order to regenerate as well as evolve. I know in a deleted scene, the bloody chunks that feel from Shin were shown to have begun sprouting eyes and teeth after a while. So just like Minus One, every bit of him needs to go. The biggest question in this match up for me is: Can Shin survive the brunt of Minus One's Nuke Breath without being completely vaporized? If he can, it is without a doubt his fight as that is the only thing Minus One has a chance with. If he cannot, then there is always the potential that Minus One can one shot Shin should he get a good shot off.

I like the really scary scared look of Shin Godzilla, but I hate the the frickin laser beams from his tail and body. His tail is way too big also. Other than that Godzillas final form is scary and beastly

-1 is a great movie but I think we overhype his healing ability. If -1 took a shot from WW2 battleship cannon and took good damage imagine what the modern day bunker buster would do to -1 Modern Bunker busters can penetrate over 100ft deep into the ground and through reinforced concrete. Shin probably could tank a low yield nuke with how tough his skin is. He’s got some pretty good heat protection to if his skin is boiling water. Internally he’s probably the same temperature as a nuclear reactor if he’s powered by radiation. I don’t think we got to see the extent of what shin could possibly do before the movie ended. The span it took shin to evolve from the 2nd form to 3rd was pretty nuts. Don’t think it’s unreasonable to believe that he has some sort of healing factor going on with how fast he’s able to alter his biology and gain double his size so quickly.

The answer, as you've stated it, totally depends on time. Shin was Evo ing to counter Humans. So he never had a large foe, hard to tell was it's evolution would be. Especially since Shin didn't show much in the way of physical actions. So hard to tell if his height & weight would matter. Minus 1 really didn't either, however it's durability was enough to, literally, face tank a Nuke which brings into question whether Shins breath would be that damaging.

Horrible take, even the shin Godzilla director said himself that shin Godzilla would die to a nuke, which makes sense considering shin got heavily wounded by bunker bombs which is far weaker than a damn Nuke. meaning shin would get 1 shot by minus one Godzilla. And no shin can’t adapt to anything, for example harsh temperatures faster cooling etc. and shins beam wouldnt so much to minus one considering his dinosaur form was within the blast radius of a nuke and still survived. So minus one wins low to mid difficulty.

I havent watched the whole video yet, but my take. -1 is an aggressive, pissed off, alpha predator who sees any threat to his terrirory as needing to be eliminated. Oh and he literally has a nuclear bomb as a breath weapon. Shin is the equivalent of a physically injured, mentally ill child who got lost in a walmart. He doesnt know where he is, what hes capable or, and he's bleeding all over the place. He is attacking the staff in his rage and confusion. This is not really even a fight...its a bloodbath.

Evolution only works if you survive. Minus One literally nukes Shin and walks away. Why because Minus One can continuously use his atomic breath and is still active. Shin will shut down. If hit, One heals and then reduces a comatose Shin to ashes.

Also Minus One is at least 34 times stronger than shin Godzilla physically, shin would need 2 or 3 forms at minimum to make up for the gap in brute strength.

@@nuhscott9058 It's not a stretch, it's quite the opposite, I made a mistake when writing the comment. Minus One is 68 (more likely just 60) times stronger physically, reason being that Shin's best strength feat is supporting his own body weight and standing up with ruble on his back. Minus One's casual strength feat is pulverizing an entire building, which if you do the math, is over 60 times more impressive than Shin Godzilla's best feat. And the difference between the 3rd form running through a building and the 4th form lifting itself and building debris on it's back up is not small, but 2 or 3 of these power increases would be necessary to have a clear edge over Minus One in strength. Don't get me wrong I like Shin Godzilla, but he just wouldn't have what he needs to beat Minus One quickly.

Even in shin's weaker forms that were way smaller, weaker and clumsier, he was still able to to topple over buildings and send entire trains fling hundreds of thousands if feat away just by taking steps. For the most part minus one mainy destroy buildings with quick and strong tail swips while actively trying to destroy stuff while shin for the most part mainly just walks aimlessly and unintentionally crush things in his path. And when I see people power scaling both, they get them both to city block level in terms if physicality. But I do agree minus one would win in a physical fight because shin is not built well to use his strenght effectively in combat with his tiny arms and slow speed. However, in terms of a beam battle which this will definitely come down to, both minus one and shin's beams with destroy each other very easily. Most will bring up minus one's regeneration but as we can see in the movie, it took a while for him to start regenerating after getting his head blown off, so he won't be coming back for a while if cut in half. And shin does have regeneration as well, it's just not as noticeable as minus one. Going with what's said in the movie, shin can regeneration like a starfish, meaning if a piece of him came if, he would regenerate it and that fallen piece would grow into it's own live form. This is further backed up cut out scene where pieces of shin's flesh where growing eyes and teeth. So both can come back from getting obliterated from each other. The main difference is, minus one will stay the same while shin would evolve to do better (it may be annoying hearing his fans bring up it all the time, but it is the main thing with shin just like characters such as doomsday and scp 682)

Shin is solidly City-Block-Level, while Minus One is Multi-City-Block-Level, possibly close to small Town-Level, if you think the novelizations statement of him turning the buildings to ash (Pulverization) is true. Either way, despite the smaller Godzilla being superior physically, both of them can cut each other to pieces with their beams, however Minus One can increase in power as well. When he was still a huge dinosaur at the beginning of the Movie, he go hit by the Bikini Atol-Nuclear Bomb, which was about a thousand times stronger than his physical strength and durability. The result was his physical strength and durability growing by a thousand times, and his beam, which can hurt himself, being a thousand times stronger than the bomb which originally hit him. I don't know if they can absorb each others beam's radiation, but if they can, Minus One will receive a greater power increase than Shin, who grows in power by dozens of times, not thousands of times. Also SCP 682 and Doomsday are unimaginably better than Shin Godzilla and Minus One in regeneration and adaptation. As for who wins between Minus One ans Shin in and evolutionary race, it depends, it's interesting and complicated to say the least. I do think Minus One has the slight edge due to him having faster regeneration in combat than Shin, and that his power increase is arguably heavier than Shin's, plus Shin Godzilla's smaller and more focused beam will vaporize less flesh from Minus One than Minus One's Beam will vaporize of of Shin Godzilla's flesh. Since this is a really Rough Topic of who wins, I respect your opinion on who beats the other.

When you consider that minus one was injured from stuff such as ship cannons, it makes no sense that he could get hit by a nuke and survive. Also when you take the fact that it took a while for him to even start to regenerate after having his head blown off, it also makes no sense that he could have just out regenerate the damage dealt by the nuke. The only way it would make sense if is he was only in the Shockwave or radiation radius not actually blast radius. And that also another point, minus one has to absorb energy to get stronger, shin doesn't. I know doomsday and 682 are leagues better than shin and minus one but the point is that people bring up their evolution in debates, so why not shin? In fact people get angry when ever anyone brings up shin's evolution even in fights where he can definitely evolve. Well that point is debatable, but while minus one might arguably be better in power increase, shin is definitely better in ability and complexity increase. Well yes minus one's beam will take out more flesh of shin than vis versa but shin just has to shoot minus one's head to incapacitate him for a while, plus shin can spam his beams (be it not for too long) while minus one's beam is more like a quick bullet shot that needs to recharge when used. And looking at the final fight in shin, shin can charge up his beams faster. But yeah, this is highly debatable fight and most definitely the fairest godzilla fight for both shin and minus one. Sorry but Minus One takes this fight It's been confirmed by a director of Shin Godzilla that a nuke would obliterate SG for context MO's heat ray has been calculated to have an energy equivalent to a 17 megaton nuke in the movie SG was critically injured by bunker busters and no his back is not a weak spot that's head cannon in the guide books it's been stated that despite SG's tough skin he was no match for the bunker busters MO's regen is better too in the novelization of Minus One it stated that -1 regenerated faster than the bomb can obliterate him it's so In fact that the eyes could not perceive it according to the novel also keep in mind that SG's adaptation/evolution doesn't happen instantly he needs time and energy to do so he also needs to cool down a lot if he's fighting -1 i doubt -1 would let him rest/evolve SG would also ran out energy mid fight as SG runs out of energy fast all -1 needs is a good Aim with his heat ray and shin's done so yeah not even close in Minus One's favor.

You still have to take into account that Shin essentially has a nuclear power plant as a cardiovascular system. For all we know, if he does get hit with a nuke or with Minus One's breath, it'll just fuel him more. And even then, he would still have his beams from his dorsal plates and his phase array sensor. The plane carrying the bomb wouldn't be able to get close unless it was way in the air, and even then, when the bomb does drop, it'll be set off far before it ever makes contact. My vote is for Shin because even if his pieces don't regrow into new Shins when they're shaved off, he's still able to regrow and adapt to Minus One when he regenerates, whereas when Minus One more or less stays the same. Otherwise, we're looking at mutually assured destruction since neither seem to have the means to completely eradicate the other with one fell swoop.

​​@@ChatNoir-999that was not Anno, that was just a fan page, it also just references a line from the movie where the character speculates how godzilla will likely die if a nuke was dropped at it, in which minus one did at the Odo Island scene (Tachibana tells Shikishima to shoot down Goji with his 20mm)

Shin is 2x bigger than minus one.

Shin Godzilla is also twice the size and has more firepower... Shin is taking this everyday 😅

Not to mention they couldn't even show him throw things... it was so baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad

The nuclear bomb Godzilla survived wasn't very strong and he mostly regenerated from it, rather than tanking it. And his atomic breath is much stronger than his own durability. But he still defeats shin Godzilla pretty easily.

Shin is not going to be easy and it's very likely that minus one was only in the shock wave or radiation radius of the nuke, not the actual blast itself

I found out the 7th-8th forms of shin Godzilla and....... HE BECOMES A BLOB THAT CONSUMES ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. in my opinion, this fight aint close, 7th form of shin vs -1, -1 is going to become a part of the end of the universe, by that i mean -1 is dead, now this is an opinion dont mean to make a war start but yeah. -1 vs form one, -1 wins -1 vs form two, -1 wins -1 vs form three, -1 wins -1 vs form four, form 4 wins 1 vs form five, form 5 win anything above form 5 will win. anything to tell me, feel free to reply.

Didn't the Director confirm shin would've died to a nuke? Minus one will 1 shot him with his breath.

Shin can swivel his head far faster during atomic breath it's so concentrated its just a beam of pure energy so i doubt minus would be able to move faster around shin than shin could simply swivel his head and aim
