@@lsmith9249 People know that, Sharon! We are talking about the archival images of documents like this that are accessible to ppl. Use some common sense for once! And that has NOTHING to do with what I said, as usual. Just because YOU CANNOT UNDERSTAND FRENCH AND LATIN doesn't mean other people cannot! Another irrelevant comment yet again. There are many ancient documents for which images of the pages, etc nave been uploaded so that people can look at them from anywhere, and today languages are easily translated.

Using paper that was used back in the Middle Ages, hand-calligraphed and each page stitched to each other- an amazing work of art for a historical document, as well as a great tradition that’s still alive!

Those pages would be made of the finest vellum. I watched a show on one of the few remaining vellum makers. It's an amazing craft, and the resulting pages are incredible.

Edward II's roll from the 14th century is the oldest surviving. Extraordinary how the continuity is maintained.

For a picture of the king of Thailand with his OBSESSED AND SUBSERVIENT FOLLOWERS, Google - Why are these people lying on the ground at the King's feet-? If Charles is in a room, his OBSESSED followers should lie down on the floor with the palms of their hands clasped together for their dearly beloved majesty instead of just giving him a limp bow or a limp curtsy which is very disrespectful. Some people are DELUSIONAL about the way that they think of another human being.

Wearing gloves is outdated now. Gloves leave you at risk of dropping or pulling on parchment too hard due to lack of tactile sensation. As long as you have thoroughly washed your hands it is good enough
