    The narrator sounds like he's practicing to take over for Sir David Attenborough when he can no longer provide the best nature voice-overs this world has ever seen

    I'm.afraid you're right it's really off-putting. Its fair to say I just can't listen to some actors doing voice-overs, as their ego gets in the way imo, but others certainly enhance what you are seeing. The late Ian Holm springs to mind as one of the latter.
