Cantrell and Thayil are two of the best guitarists to come out of the early 90s seattle scene.

Thank you Kim Thayil for making an appearance last night at the Wiltern Theatre to introduce the film. I was there in the balcony section....it was unfortunate that technical difficulties affected the first 3 songs of the concert film. The sync between the image and audio was waaay off (almost a 2 second delay) which made it difficult to watch. However once the technicalities were straighten out, OMG.....SOUNDGARDEN was on fire that night back in 2013!!

Kim is my guitar hero. He's truly amazing.

If Kim had a podcast, I'd listen in a second. Super smart but down to earth guy. Doesn't need a specific theme. Just Kim talking about random subjects. :)

Love Kim. I wished Jonesy would have asked about the Soundgarden masters that were supposedly burned in the Universal fire.

Saw SG open for GnR in Houston 1993. They came on at 8 pm .Played 40 minutes. GnR came on at 11:30.I was pissed by then. That was the only time i saw SG.Great band.

i saw that tour in Dayton! i only went cause my friends were going to GnR and i was invited to come, and i was a huge soundgarden fan (saw them many times).. soundgarden killed it and the GnR fans were clueless. they just didn't get it. heard lots of sh!tty comments. i kinda figured they wouldn't.. still had a good time. GnR actually started pretty close to on time. however.. the band still had to fill time with cover songs as snowflake went off doing whatever for about a half hour or so.

stuff 'about social media it's pretty understandable :) P.S. my son who is 16 years of age, actually thought me how to pronounce Kim Thayil's name... it felt really amazing to be outshined, at last...

"That's when the world went dark" Kim, Matt and Bem don't like talking about what happened in 2017 (understandably), but you can tell they were hurt a lot. Losing such a longtime friend in that manner, especially having been some of the last people to see him... and finding out about that through social media probably made the trauma even worse.

I love his laugh!
