Kiln Opening - Stoneware Ceramics and Bonsai Pottery - Cone 8 firing

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this pottery kiln opening, I'm revealing my latest bonsai pottery creations. There will be glazed ceramics, but also raw clay pots with sculpted motifs that I enjoy making at the moment. These are bonsai pots made of white stoneware, gray stoneware, or brown stoneware, sometimes even clay blends. All glazes are homemade and fired at cone 8, at around 1240°C. (Here you can see my Antique Turquoise Glaze, Moon Glaze, for example)
All my ceramics bonsai pots are available on my online shop.
If you enjoy this type of pottery, whether you're a potter or an enthusiast, on my channel, I mainly show how I make these pottery pieces and to make bonsai pot. For bonsai enthusiast, I also show kiln firing like this (only stoneware ceramics), I'm opening the kiln several times a month. I mainly use the slab technique to build my pots. But I also do a lot of sculpting, patterning, or adding texture. Always in a didactic and playful manner, with plenty of pottery tips and tricks.

peças maravillhosas , obrigado por mostrar suas técnicas , aqui no Brasil é muito dificil fazer vasos grandes porque as argilas não são boas para isso.

Thank you. I only ship to Europe, it's too complicated to send worldwide because of customs, and the risk of breakage.

I notice that most of your pots have many small holes for wires, but the large Elliptical pot only has drainage holes and no wire holes. Did you intentionally skip the wire holes? I've worked with clay in the past, mostly wheel work. I was good enough that much of my work was stolen before I ever saw it finished. After watching you work I'm looking at joining a local workshop to try my hands at slab building to explore some of my creative desires. I'm glad that you posted a video of failures/disappointments so I will be better prepared for my own failures. Thanks for sharing the videos of what you do!

Thank you for your comment. For the large oval pot, this is a mistake. I just forgot to make the holes for the wires on this pot! :)
