Hey, you got the Chapter Tactics wrong. The way you just explained it in the Chapter Tactics section makes it look like you can choose 2 Categories and get all 3 benefits from that Category each. This isnt the case! You can only select ANY two Subabilities (eg. Rapid and Methodical etc.) Ignoring the categories. The categories are only relevant for the Tactical Ploy that comes later. This means you can choose 2 from a pool of 12 different abilities. NOT the whole category! You skipped the text that explains it on top of the abilities. Otherwise, Thanks for that Video!

I had 5 assault guys from a board game. Now I'm building some Primaris Intercessors. Had to kitbash a powersword from Tactical squad to give him the weapons I wanted.

Great video as usual. I usually play Felesh Teasers, but since I got the Imperium subscription, I got extra assault intercessor and decided to paint them as Iron Ravens.

Thanks, Christopher. Nice, don't see many Iron Ravens! I made a mistake on the abilities. You choose two abilities which have the heading in bold, not two full categories like I was doing. I thought they were too good to be true! 🤣🥴

This vid gave me good ideas, particularly loading up the sarge with a powerfist, though mine's an Assault Intercessor Sarge. I ran a half-and-half list, half close quarts with the Assault Intercessors, with a gunline of Warriors at the back. Played Into the Dark last night and I watched my Sarge punch three genestealers into flinders before he got taken down. Scratched a win by the barest margin. Next time I play ITD, I'm running a full shoot list.

I know I am late to the part but I finally got around finishing into the dark build 😅. I am definitely going to play with some space marines for the battle reports I will be filming later in the year, but 1st I need to get a hang of this game. Thanks for the deep dive my friend, very informative 👍

If you buy a box of intercessors you can have 2 kill teams if you have a sprue assault intercessors from the imperium magazine or still have some extra you don't use 😉👍. Handy haha

This is slightly incorrect (as of 2024 ~ might have been earlier). Each Intercession Squad for Kill team has 6 models.

Anything Kill Team, I love it!

Can the intercessor Sergeant really have a Stalker bolt rifle and a power fist? Or any combo or bolt rifle and melee weapon? I cant find a definite answer for kill team but maybe im not looking in the right places.

I think you read the chapter traits wrong. You don't pick two categories, you pick two abilities from the complete list. For example i use Durable and Rapid.

@@tabletopskirmishgames and the 2 you pick are for your entire kill team, so the ranged operatives and the melee ones will have the same 2. As I got the impression you said you could tailor them depending on the role, if that's not what you meant apologies.

I got the bit right and have been playing that the entire kill team gets the two abilities (or categories in my case 🤣) I meant tailor them to the chapter eg Space Wolves would be good narratively to have the melee abilities.

How do you find the shoot/fight twice? I'm always wary of APL traps that distract you from completing objectives, especially with so few body's

I like it especially got the two heavy Stalker Bolt Rifles that I keep back to give cover. The first couple of games we played were just going through the main mechanics without a focus on objectives. The temptation is strong to try to kill the enemy before the objectives, though for sure. I'll be playing a lot over the next couple of weeks so will be able to answer that better then I think.

It’s 1AP per shoot action so if you shoot twice yes it’s 2AP

so you can have 6 now instead of 5? 1 sergeant 5 squad?

Hey dude. This is nowhere a deep dive, its reading the rules together for 18 minutes. Add some flavour please, better recommendations, dive into combinations. The Tac ploy to swap tactica gives so many cool opportunities and adaptive playstayles versus certain stong teams etc. Co-relations wirh gear...... I guess most people can read themselves. Didnt mean to be bad mannered, i do really like you in general. I was just disappointed today
