My Buddy got his filled from the local store. Looks like they are saving more stock for stores and selling less online, so scalping should be less of a problem.

It's crazy, I agree. Maybe all the resources have been shifted to W40K 10th edition but it does seem bad planning.

Excellent video. Though there a lot of releases for Kill Team ("KT"), all one needs is the core rulebook (available on its own, the Octarius box or the Into the Dark box), the rulebook containing the rules for the faction one wants to play and the models for that faction (between 4-15, or up to 20 for a full roster). If one buys only the core rulebook, the essentials kit may be attractive (though one could craft replacements for tokens and doo-dads). If one wants to play a somewhat less complex version of KT, the Compendium book offers 19 factions in one package. These factions are fairly well-balanced against each other, but most cannot compete with the faction rules released in all the other products. This is ideal for a more casual, insular group who don't plan on playing much against those in the wider KT community.

Yeah, the dirty underbelly of the 40k universe is where it's at! And while I love the idea of taking Inquisitors and agents into a game, I reckon you get a lot more of that darkly grim (some might even call it grimly dark?) action via Necromunda. Plenty of Chaos in there, too. Have you played it recently?

I've hit a massive wall lately, trying to keep up with current games and their frantic release schedules, so Mordheim had been a great relief with its "deadness". Necromunda wasn't too bad either, since we mostly ignored the updates and had enough to work with. But, that meant missing out on Ash Wastes, so I'll definitely look up your video on that. Thanks Peter!

Minor clarification of box content: At 8:12 the box actually comes with 5 mutants. At 8:17 you can see the 5th mutant in the middle of the bunch of cultists. You showed the missing 10th cultist at 7:25 when you mentioned the penal legionnaire. Unfortunately, the penal legionnaire is an alternate build of the death world veteran meaning you have to pick one or the other, buy a second box, or do some kitbashing. I just got the box today and I was so excited that I assembled all 23 chaos models in one sitting which is a lot for me! I'm excited about the Inquisition team too, but if I'm being honest I'm a bit intimidated by the amount of options. I'm considering picking up some more kits/bits to kitbash all the options and add a little flair to my retinue but it seems like a lot of effort so I'm putting it off for now.

I agree. Space Marines are not the most interesting part of the 40k Universe. I prefer like you all the stuff that corrupts your soul! My love for Warhammer started with Space Hulk, Advanced Heroquest, and Man O'War. For some reason I enjoy the Stormcast Eternals though, despite being very Space Marine like. Maybe it's the gold and blue color scheme? I dislike blue only Ultramarines. Blood Angels Terminators on the other hand are pretty darn awesome!

I spent ages trying to work out what I'd paint my space marines, and then I thought bugger it - if you're going to go space marines, go trad! So I painted them as Ultramarines. But one thing I like about the new 'combat patrol' format of W40K 10th edition is that you can dabble in other chapters for small games. There's no longer a feeling that everything you get has to add to 'your' chapter, so I might paint up some in other colours for a bit of variety.

hmm a big project me thinks u got a 10th ed box to review this looks great but i wasnt able to get it

Not sure why you bother to review it - hardly anybody could get a copy. Ridiculous. My local warhammer shop in NZ was allocated 2 (yes 2) copies. You got half as many copies as a retail store!

I'm sorry, when I filmed this I had no idea it had sold out so quickly. I have no control over what GW sends me for review. I agree it was ridiculous to make so few available and I'm as much in the dark as to why they do it as you.

Another boxed set that got the FOMO treatment and a too small production run. Looks like GW dosn't want to expand production capabilities and prefers higher prices over higher selling numbers? The CEO only thinks about shareholder profit and not the customers? Late stage capitalism.
