This is day 2 of our hike to the top of Kilimanjaro.
we left the comforts of Springlands Hotel and made our way to the Lemosho gate via our bus. Along the way, we took the opportunity to learn some Swahili with our guides.
Once we'd arrived at the entrance to the park, we were given our lunch and began the short hike of 3.23 miles with an elevation gain of 1408 feet to Mkubwa camp, which sits at 2100 metres.
We were lucky enough to see the Colobas monkeys in the trees.
We got settled in, had our evening meal, and watched the lightning storm with no rain or thunder. It was amazing.
