One of the questions I have which I hope you mention in your next video is, with the axle being The stock length you’re changing the offset of where the axle cotter pin is set I’m looking forward to seeing how you fix that as this is where I am stuck at with my sons truck. I’m having issues with they will wanting to slide out of place. Thank you for being generous and sharing of your buy ideas with us!

Very good question, I definitely need to address that next. When it comes to the axles, in most cases it will need to be cut down. Another option is adding spacers to fill the space but depending on how much space it might look a little tacky. Your best bet is to measure, cut and drill a hole in the shaft to slide a pin through. Another way is cutting and threading the shaft ends to use nuts instead. I personally prefer the first way, it's a lot faster and less headaches.

Lol, if that's the case then you might not want to go with aluminum pans. You can also use stainless steel which is a lot stronger and is polished for a shiny lip look. Aluminum is strong in the smaller sizes up to 8 or 9 inches after that you might have issues with curbs. Another factor is the type of wheels that you're customizing. I mentioned in the video that some are hollow and others have a skeletal system that still helps its rigidity even after it's cut into. Thank you, I will address this in the next vid.

Very good question and thank you for bringing that to my attention. I use a specific type of panel bond made for bonding various materials together or industrial strength high temp hot glue and in some cases screws. I can't stress enough the importance of cutting out the face of the wheels evenly and as precise as possible because it places a huge role on the balance of the wheel. I will make another video addressing a few things such as these that I may have forgotten to mention or say in the last vid. I'm just waiting on more feedback from people such as yourself to see what else I could've missed. Remember this is just the basis of how to make wheels yourself. There are more videos to come.

KidStanceBuilt sounds good man! Yeah my main concern was how to get back the overall rigidity that you lose when cutting apart the wheel. Obviously it has to be as safe as possible since our kids will be riding on these things. But since you will be making more videos in the future I will definetly stay tuned. Thanx for the reply! Would love to see the wheels actually being bonded to the pan. And what your using. I'm stuck at that point. Hot glue does not make me feel confident enough to let a kid rode on it. Also by changing offsets will the wheel not wobble due to the thin contact patch on the wheels by using pans. Whereas before it was a channel of plastic. Now it's cut plastic and a thin piece of metal. ???? Hopefully I've explained that well enough lol.
@KidStanceBuilt

Very good questions. I touched on the first in the video as far as having enough center contact for strength. Basically it depends on the total width of your wheel, for example, if you have a wheel that is 4 inches in width, you might not want to use a 3 inch deep pan because that only leaves you with an inch to play with as far as contact strength in the center. Now don't get me wrong, you can get away with that but it'll be really sketchy. Also if you plan on upgrading speed then I wouldn't recommend any of this period! I'll save that for the next wheel video. As far as the center strength, if you use a quality pan you will be ok as far as center strength. Just use your better judgement when selecting the pan because there are some cheap ones out there and you usually get what you pay for. Also once you center your face inside the pan and bolt it in that helps strengthen the center further. The glue I use is an industrial strength high temp glue, nothing less, however, you can also use other bonding agents such as Panel bond etc.
