I remember both my boys first coasters! Oldest was 4, no reaction and now is an adrenaline junkie. Gets on literally everything. Second hated the feelings. Told him screaming helps the stomach drop feeling. Once he tried it, he loved it but is still more apprehensive about the bigger coasters. I was 10 before i was forced on a coaster and 20 something before i actually liked them. These kids are brave!

Reminds me when I went on the Bugbie Go Round at Alton Towers back in April. It was scary for me but bravely I stayed on it, holding on. So I feel I relate this this boy. I am proud to have been brave and gone on it 😊

Took my kids to knobles yesterday. First time at a theme park. Their first roller coaster was Impulse. 2 out 3 of my kids passed out LOL. They begged to go on it, by the time the ride stopped all three were crying. But they LOVED the wooden coasters!

My 4 year old niece went on Bubbles the Dragon at Storybook Land as her first coaster. But she's an adrenaline junkie like me so I'm slowly getting her on more rides as she gets tall enough to for on them.

It’s the opposite for me, the first drop is usually less intense than the other drops for me.

That was my very first roller coaster in 1994! Been going to cedar point every year since. Love the Magnum. Especially at night.

My first roller coaster was the Comet at The Great Escape. My first with inversions was Rock 'n Roller Coaster in Florida. After I rode El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure, I was nearly traumatized, but Batman: The Ride on my next trip there got me back in the swing of things. Eventually Steel Force at Dorney Park, Nitro at SFGAdv, and pretty much every coaster at Dollywood (with the exception of Dragonflier and the kiddie coaster) got me over my fear permanently. Still need to work on my fear of hangtime.

Cedar Point has many great roller coaster firsts! Magnum is a great choice! I remember riding it my first time.

My first coast at the age of 5 or so was an old wooden coaster at Idlewild in PA, been a coaster fiend since then....

This hit me my right in the feels. Took my family to Silverwood in Idaho this summer. Son is 6 barely tall enough for all the rides had a peer with him though. The peer wanted to do corkscrew and my son had no idea what he was in for. I had him watch it run 1 time before we got in line but he wanted to do it still anyway. Ride was great and he had a good time. We go hit Timber Terror after as we climb to the peak he is having a great time pointing at stunt pilot and telling me he wanted to that next. As soon as we drop he is hanging on for dear life and not having fun. Coaster riding with him was done after that. Hopefully over the next few years I can get him on more but I have a feeling his little sister is going to be my coaster partner because their mom certainly is not and my little girl is an animal lol.

Hearing the dad saying “It’s ok you’re ok” started to give me traumatizing flashbacks to my first roller coaster when I was 8 which made me NEVER want to ride one again and I haven’t ever since

Honestly little kids on rides is what made me ride when i used to hate coasters. Just pep talking in my head “if a 7 year old can do it you can too!”

holy shit, he just took the shit like a champ. I could absolutely never, my mind and body just wouldn't allow that. I could feel all his feelings and i havent even been on a rollercoaster half as tall/long

I remember my first coaster being Rock n' Roller Coaster down at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Been nearly 2 decades.

Nah man. My dad took me on diamond back the day I first started to try coasters (i was 20 years old dont come for me 😂). He swore to me it would be like the medium sized ones I was comfortable with. And I trusted him cause he was right about the other two I got comfortable riding. Nope. Never again. I about passed out on the first drop. It was the worst ever coaster ride I've had to date. I will not go on anything with a drop bigger than 165ft. I now Google how big the drops are before I even get in line. This kid is a trooper.

My 1st coaster was Kosmo’s Kurves at Knoebels. Short but intense. Probably why i love intense coasters!

I love it, my 6yr old conquered his first Roller-coaster on Jun 22, 2022. He took on The Phoenix at Knoebel's, you know the #1 Wooden Coaster int he world. He went in a bit scared but came out all giggles and smiles.

dive coasters like that are great to start out on!! that way you have one stomach dropping feeling and then it’s easy, smart!!

I started riding them when I was 5 (I was a tall 5 year old), and I never really found roller coasters scary to me. To me, they were just pure fun. I think that seeing them as scary is more of a psychological thing than them actually being scary. Then again, this kid was at Cedar Point, so I guess that the roller coasters could be more intimidating.

my first ever rollercoaster was leviathan. it's in canada and has a staggering 93m/306ft height at it's peak. didn't pass out or throw up, but definitely screamed and clung to the handlebars for dear life. for comparison, magnum is around 64m.

I remember my first one it was cheetah hunt this March those launches caught my off guard and my first roller coaster with a drop was iron gwazi that drop was CRAZY

Yeah the magnum is basically the same ride as the mamba over at my home park and at 17 I’m way too scared to ride it

Damn looks high. My first ‘big boy’ coaster was Nemesis at Alton Towers. I was about 12 and that shit was so intense. I sort of didn’t like it but went on it again straight after anyway and really enjoyed it. Props to this kid magnum looks tall asf.

@@uriiahhhh thanks I have been on it and it was really fun. It is called rampage at alabama splash adventure. You you should look it up on youtube. A 102 foot drop and it goes 56 miles per hour. I know slower than most people ride but it was my first roller coaster and IT WAS SO FUN!

I rode magnum for the first time the other time, and I loved it! Those ending bunny-hills were amazing!

The lil pleh and the lady scream was so funny and adorable

my first rollercoaster was the mindbender and I didn’t even know it had loops 😭😭 it’s definitely one of my favorites though i really like it now

That was the funniest video I've seen. I rode my first at the age of 8 at six flags over Texas. It was called the Big Bend, in 1977. I was so small that I come out of my seat enough that my dad grabbed onto me. I look back and think...what was he thinking letting me ride that!

I wish I had someone to talk me through these rides like this.

The magnum was my first roller coaster growing up. I was the same age and I also rode it with my dad too!!! I love this so much!! Memories 😭

as someone who has went on a coaster 2 feet higher than this coaster and liked it, this is definitely fun.

i cant believe this is this kids first ever roller coaster- like my first roller coaster was probably one of the slowest disney rides just looping in a circle for 10 seconds

If you are a beginner at roller coasters I suggest your first ever coaster being mamba at worlds of fun
