71 hits to kill only the FIRST boss, Kid Icarus is quite challenging

Not really just an old game. What I mean they appear hard mostly due to bugs, clunky controls, and being unbalanced. For example, the minotaur fight. - Doesn't really have a gap to safely attack it. Just because you are able to do it doesn't mean there's a gap. At least I don't consider 'pixel perfect it' a gap, normal players will only get a few shots in at the beginning and before he fires. - Game bugs out where I tried to attack him when he was on platform and he took no dmg, 4 times. - Too high hp where 3 dmg arrows with flames as shown still took 71 shots; considering no gap for normal players removing flame arrows.

I know this is old but the first boss in both the NES game and here seem to me like they're the hardest. At that point you don't really have any weapon or health upgrades so you not only do very little damage, but you can take very few hits in return. The first boss of this game took me a ton of attempts but then the next few were super easy.

They took a LOT of hits to be beaten. The last one was epic!

I’m playing through and overall kinda like it better than the nes one. Same opinions I have of Metroid II: less remembered game but also less frustrating

The bosses in this game are mostly better than in the NES game.
