August Darnell here at 67 years of age is wonderful. The Coconuts are lovely but the 80's girls were red hot and extremely talented. The band here is good but the 80's band was fantastic.

@@waldolydecker8118 That doesn't diminish it as an art form, WaldoLydecker. If anything, it makes things better. If only I'd realized how much fun it would be to be a coconut when I was nineteen. I'm sixty-six, but damned if I am not going to learn to dance like that. I don't mean to be a bitch, and I don't believe in quotas, but it would have made a powerful statement on women if you had also had a brilliant female musician in the band. All beautiful.

I’ve loved Kid Creole since they first hit the scene in the early 80’s. The original coconuts were the best. No one can hold a candle to them.

Incredibile August Darnell alias Ked Creole. Eleganza raffinate sensuali. Quelle attuali non sono di meno. Complimenti.🎹🎧🎤🎵👍

It was a low-budget video production -- just ONE camera centerstage. In fact, this might just be a smartphone video from the audience. Usually at their older shows, there were multiple cameras, so it didn't matter where the dancers were relative to speakers or other large equipment. Also low-budget in the size of the band. To fill the stage, they had to spread the dancers far stage-right and musicians far stage-left.

Allow me to disagree. The "kid" is not anymore a kid :) but it's a lot of fun to watch it live. The coconuts are still on par with the original, and the band considering that has less elements play their part fine. The only piece missing is Coati Mundi, and that was the crazy part that I miss. Otherwise I'm hoping yet to see a lot more concerts from the Kid
The sound is just not the same without Carole Colman on the bass. No disrespect to this bass player.
