Yes, me too, heck we all do,I heard ppl in the comments talking bout a show called kid cosmic, then checked it out and, Wow, first thought,what was this, then heard it was from the creator Craig McCracken,(creator from PPG,fosters,& Wander), then kept watching the show and wow!, it started to get good,the character development, the dark themes, and some emotional moments even if it’s little action comedy,that got me begging for more, already finished it already,can’t wait for season 2 and see more,

Spoilers for Season 1 The ending with them being stuck in space is very reminiscent of Wander Over Yonder, which also had a theme of heroes going up against super-villains in space.

This show is amazing, and as stated, surprisingly dark, especially seeing one of the Papa G clones wielding a chainsaw and covered in alien blood, and Rosa is brutal, her actions are like any toddler I've seen, and just knowing that Kid Cosmic has a tragic backstory that's way too real, makes me feel sorry and understand why he acts the way he does

I like it. Kid Cosmic feels like a Netflix show. It is Craig McCracken show but it feels like it belongs on Netflix. The Cosmic book style is awesome. I love old school comic growing up. I used to read a lot of Nancy back in the day. Kid is great protagonist he wants to be a hero, but his flaw is he a bit cocky and full of himself. Jo reminds a lot of Frankie because she a teenager who is more mature because she has work.

Thankfully unlike Disney, Craig has got the freedom to fully unwind his creation, unlike Wander over Yonder where Disney screwed it over.

Papa G was probably my favorite, but it's hard to pin down with this small but likable cast! Rosa, Tuna Sandwich and Chuck are all good contenders, but i think i just relate to Papa G as a character. just rolls with it and uses his powers pretty well.

Watched the whole show and made reactions to it. I had alot of fun and was often surprised. It is a really good, energetic and stylish show and I love the dark undertones. Even without any gore or actual graphic violence it it was actually pretty brutal at times. But they still did it in a way that it works as a kids show. very clever. Highly recommended!

Its super dark how the survivors died the episode their conflict was resolved besides that one queen.

Well there are a few reviews that have so little views so I guess this show is pretty underrated

It's also probably an homage to the original "Roswell" show (or at least inspired by), also set in New Mexico, and not like the god-awful remake (sorry if someone here likes it). I just added this show to my Netflix list, thank you for bringing it to my attention. :)

Spoilers Favorite Alien Encounters: Claw Alien who wanted the stones but when he hears they are rings, backs out. Head Assassin who makes an offer only to back out when she hears how much they are asking for. And the Aquatic Giant, who dies because he couldn’t breathe. Like dam, I thought the aliens from Signs were stupid. I mean who goes to a planet covered in water. Or in this case, does not make sure he can breathe on the surface before going.

Kid Cosmic is such an amazing show from my idol Craig Mccracken who gave us The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's. I definitely can't wait for season 2 for its fun, energetic pace and Rosa who is personally my favorite character. She's so funny and cute.

Agreed. Love this show. At first, I thought this was going to be boring. But it got good. Definitely done with the Earth force theme scene. Could not stop laughing.

Craig McCracken carved my childhood i watched the powerpuff girls and fosters home for imaginary friends as a kid while my parents argued in the other room so you could assume how psyched i was when i found out he made this masterpiece

Anyone else notice how Chuck is basically Peridot from Steven Universe. Think about it he is an alien who is trapped on earth, is constantly trying to contact his home world, is trapped in his enemies house, hates everyone, and he missing multiple limbs.

@@zzz43344 Nova is a marvel comics character. Sam Alexander debuted in 2012 and takes up the mantel of nova. Basically kind of like...a space cop? Kinda? There's a whole history there

When Craig McCracken is making a new cartoon, always expect Tom Kenny playing a role.

The show is darker than it looks? So is Owl House, Amphibia, Gravity Falls and Steven Universe. But, that hasn’t stopped us. The show is amazing.

I heard. Cartoon Network only likes Teen Titans GO because of DC Comics. DC’s animation is reduced to ugly animated movies and all money is wasted on that trash show. It’s sickening. Cartoon Network has fallen after Steven Universe left Beach City.

IT IS AMAZING and the S3 ending was the best the perfect amount of episodes. I think Mr. McCracken did the right thing Netflix is known for canceling shows so he(and the other folks working on the show ) made it short and sweet did an amazing ending full of meaning and conclusion that made me happy.

LOVED it so far. In typical Craig McCracken style, I HOPE TO MUCH that we see the Power Puff Girls in this somehow as a cameo lol. Or even them randomly popping up in front of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. XD

Kid Cosmic makes me wish I was still subscribed to Netflix, the retro CalvinHob artstyle and shounen plot looks incredible 👏

It kind of irks me when people try to judge this show from an anime perspective, and then become disappointed when it falls short of their expectations. This is not anime. Nor does this show need to be anime. I enjoyed how you listed the influences and how it harkens back to styles created from generations before, and on multiple comic platforms. Great review!

The reason I also love kid cosmic is because it just doesn't focus on some random people getting superpowers, but it also builds character development. I also love the retro style for an amazing cartoon like this. Honestly, this show makes me feel really good, and if you haven't watched it yet then..... WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!! WATCH IT NOW, YOUR MISSING OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the end I was like... wait 13 stones? Wtf 😬 I’ve exited for the next season

And in one episode they show unknown characters dying in a comedic way. Like with laser things.

Never would've thought that an adorable and innocent little toddler could be so frightening and deadly... No surprise why she's my favorite character in the show! :)

The moment when Rosa saw the small aliens she threw in space and thought they were "sleeping" tho

I’m gonna say, this show is extremely underrated

The fact that they killed a kids family for a mission is dark

What I liked the show most is the artstyle! It remind me of the vintage comicbook like DC comic Superman issue 1 but at the same time not using the character artstyle from that time period!

Like the show so far, spoiler warning Ok ep 4 is the darkest for me so far, I'm on 5 so idk yet but they litteraly show the papa g chainsaws a body up to bury, and rosa kills and throws aliens in space which I'm surprised that this was in the FIRST SEASON unlike the dragon prince in season 3 showed them being stabbed which also was a fake clone of them which I like this so far and hope kid name is shown and also changes a little bit through out the show

I just binge watched the 10 episodes of this show. And it surprised me in more than one way- if the ending of season 1 didn't get me then it's gotta be some of the jaw-dropping twists! There is still so much to explore about this new show. I won't spoil anything but the finale is sure to give U goosebumps. There's already 2 more seasons in the work. For anyone with good taste in animation or story driven series. I say "stop what your doing and go watch this now!!" 🤯🤯🤯👽👽👽

This show is growing on me. The first time we see the kid flying I knew, there’s more to the stones than they think.

I love i the last episode when chuck grabs an m16 and shoots a guy in the chest before flipping off Mr man in black / kids show, and it seemed like, hey its a kid show , no ones gonna use a gun, and it desensitized me from guns and seeing that hit like a truck.

She forgot to mention that the creator s of this cartoon also made Dexter an Samurai Jack.

Can't wait for Season 2 and it was awesome!!!

until realized it was comic centric I was worried it was styled in the animation used for an animatic. you know those rough draft trailers used as test footage before they add the finish touches.

I binged it so hard I didn't even realize the season was almost over until the last episode ended.

I may have comic book Umbrella Academy vibes from watching Kid Cosmic, but minus the family neglect, the rich superhero siblings, and what they became after years of going their separate ways, but there were some dark and funny moments in Kid Cosmic, like how the Papa Gs try to hide a dead colossus alien corpse, and how one of them was covered in alien blood and was holding a chainsaw, so I really hope they get to release another season

I love the show!

I was skeptical when I first saw the trailer and only ended up watching it because I had nothing else to watch (I try my hardest not to binge XD) and then boom I just love it, the artstyle, the landscapes aesthetic all of it. Then the character development and the dark humor got me and I loved it even more all in all this show is art, and it is art I seriously enjoy and love. I swear you can just feel how much fun the creators and voice actors had with it and it all comes together so nicely the entirety of it
