I'd like to think that Gohms sole purpose are to keep people on the train, like if they somehow end up on the wasteland, they're supposed to scare them back on to the train so that they can get there number down. The reason why I think Simon died so fast and gruesomely was due to how absurdly high his number was, which explains why Tulip was able to survive her encounters with the Gohms because her number was considerably lower, but at the end of the day, this is just a theory.

Also Simon kicked another passenger (who survived by luck) off the train. It's possible that they saw him as a threat to their "mission" of keeping the people on the train and decided that he needs to be stopped....permanently

I have two potential theories about the Gohm 1) the train acts like a computer program and the Gohm are made to eliminate bugs in the program. For example, people who stray too far away from the train will get attacked by them because they’re going too far from the established map. They aren’t 100% effective, so they sometimes target the wrong passengers. Simon’s number was ridiculously high so the gohm eliminated him because he was a glitch. Unlike Tulip, who could withstand the gohm for a few seconds, Simon’s number was so haywire that it had to devour him immediately. Higher numbers are probably irresistible to gohm, but Simon’s number was so high that it killed the gohm too. 2) This one’s a little scarier. What if the gohm aren’t constructs of the train at all, but rather constructs from the wasteland. I personally believe the wasteland is really a future Earth, which was reduced to nothing by creatures called gohm. The train has always struck me as a piece of very futuristic technology, so perhaps it carries people to this apocalyptic future where the world has already been destroyed, and tries to help them in ways that will stop the eventually downfall of the world? This is the theory that I like the most, the idea that the train is technology from some far off future/alternate timeline made to save people from this impending doom, but the technology ran away with itself and now its a beast of its own.

I had that thought too, and it made me start wondering if any characters we'd already met played a part in the train's creation, Tulip being the main one that made sense to me, since she shows so much intersst and skill in coding. When she goes off to game design camp, she says she's ready for anything. But would she be ready for the Ghom apocolypse? Maybe at game design camp she begins developing what will eventually be known as One (One-One prior to his split personality), and codes some amateur prototypes of train technology or something based on her time on the train, which will eventually help her past self, ensuring that the train her past self traverses exists at all, and so that maybe humanity could be saved from creating Ghoms somehow, like creating them as a weapon during a war, or evolving into them due to nuclear radiation. I guess it could be any animal that evolves into them, like cockroaches, or dogs. It's quite a paradox.

@@user-oq9pz6tt9x I like the use of the word paradox, because I feel like the trains entire existence is probably not based on any one particular thing, but rather the intersection of many paradoxes. The train itself is called the “Infinity Train”. It is infinite, no beginning or ending. That’s why I get confused when people suggest the train was ‘made’ by someone. I don’t think it has a real maker, but rather the train is an entity in of itself, a force of nature. One that exists on the edge of infinity and can bring people from anywhere or anytime. Even if Tulip did help design the train (which is definitely plausible) the train would have taken her into the future, giving her the idea in the first place, inventing itself. This is why I love theorizing about this show, because the train is such a mysterious entity, and I wouldn’t be disappointed if my theories were wrong because the real explanation is probably even cooler.

@@nyctophobia4573 exactly. It would be an infinite loop, the train led Tulip to create it so that it could be there to lead her to create it, on and on forever. And even if Tulip laid the groundwork for the Infinity Train, I'm sure the bulk of it was made by One-One with the Steward, or something else entirely.

The writers are not playing fast and loose with the definition of infinity! There are several definitions of infinity: countable infinity, ie 1, 2, 3 etc, and uncountable infinity, ie the infinity of numbers between 1 and 2, or 3 and 4, and so on. It is perfectly possible to have an infinity between two fininte points, just as it is possible to walk over an infinitely divisible patch of land with one step.

I hope we get to see how Simon got on the train. Maybe through The Cat/Samantha. He seemed so innocent when he met Grace and then ended up being a heartless murderer.

At first I thought the Gohms make you older until you die because it looked like it was turning Tulip into a old lady.

random guy it makes the passengers older if it only sucked the life then an empty husk of Simon would be left, but when a person dies, the skin, organs etc first deconstruct, then the skeleton turning into dust.

With the way Hazel's story ended she's essentially a new character anyways, following the formula. Plus if the intent is to have 8 seasons total it would make sense to end the first half of the series with Amelia. That way you get most of the connections to book 1 out of the way so you can do something entirely unexpected next.

Imagine how the cat would react to to being told that Simon got absorbed by a gohm.

It’d be cool to see a new character post-visit to the Infinity Train. They worked through their problems on the train, but they’re still left with a lot of unresolved trauma from the train itself. It could be a bit like the experience a prisoner may have when they’re released back into society; this character is struggling to adjust to normal life again. Maybe they have panic attacks whenever they’re at the train station, they get flashbacks and triggers when they see symbols that remind them of the denizens, or they get hallucinations of the Gohms approaching. Perhaps a part of Book 4 could be about them trying to get back onto the train where things made sense for them.

That would really suit someone who had a long and traumatic existence on the train, long enough that if there was anything left for them in the real world it would be gone. This suits Amelia extremely well, as she didn't seem to have any loved ones still alive in her life anyway, and if she did there's a good chance they'd be dead. If a Book Four happens and Amelia gets off the train in it, this could be the focus of an episode or two in a potential Book Five. She could even meet up with other ex-passengers, or even Lake and other ex-denizens (if there are any others) and start some kind of club to try and locate the train, or even just a Post-Train Therapy Group. Maybe the train will become a known phenomenon and the government will pursue it and try to abduct the ex-passengers. And they'd definitely be after Lake.

I love how you could feel simon go from happy and empowered to sad and lonely then chaotic and insane in his laughing scene after killing grace

Didn't Amelia basically admit to creating Hazel in Episode 8, and when Amelia admitted that she's not very good at making eggs, didn't Hazel blurt out that Amelia IS pretty good at making pancakes (which is something Olrick would have said)? If Amelia and Hazel do return in Book 4, it sounds like one of the issues Amelia may have to deal with is what Hazel truly MEANS to her! Will Amelia begin to see Hazel as the child she never had (considering Hazel's obvious connections to both her and Olrick), and will she finally realize the reason why all of her previous creations (including Hazel) turned into turtles? (Hint: it has something to do with the turtle pattern on the old handkerchief!) Will Hazel's code finally be stabilized, or will Amelia have to delete her in order to stop the anomalies? As for Samantha possibly making a return in Book 4, it's likely that she will have to have a little "heart-to-heart" with Amelia (or even Grace) before either of them finally leave the train. Also, Samantha's collection of items (as seen in Episode 4) may eventually help to answer some of the more blaring questions "down the line" (i.e. exactly how old is the train, when/where exactly is the train (Future Earth, alternate/parallel universe, Limbo, etc.), and who/whom originally built the train and why?). Finally, is there a possible explanation for why we see lightning streak across the sky when Simon's number ultimately reaches astronomical proportions after kicking Grace down towards the wheels below? Was this just for added effect to show just how far Simon "had fallen from Grace", or did it have something to do with how high his number had risen? Some have theorized that a passenger's number is not just tied to their progression of self-learning, but also with their connection to their original point of origin (i.e. the point in time and space on Earth when they first boarded the train)! If a passenger's number gets too high, it could start to wreck havoc on the train's overall mechanism, thus we see electrical surges (i.e. bolts of lightning) emanating from both the sky and the train. The Gohm that attacked both Grace and Simon may have immediately sensed this (somehow), which could explain why it suddenly attacked and devoured Simon before self-destructing. We still don't know much about the Gohms, but One-One, Samantha, or even Amelia may have the answers we seek in Book 4!

If there is a Book Four, wouldn't it be cool if it revolved around the train rejectjng One-One and sending out robots or something to reset or replace him, but Amelia and Hazel try to save him? Due to Amelia's actions One-One is permanently damaged and Hazel lives a disturbed life without a place in the world, but all of that is because Amelia is damaged too, and the real lesson that will get her off the train will be making sure One-One learns to live with and grow from his damage instead of resetting back to the status quo like she tried to do, which left One-One and Hazel as they are. I think the train will want to delete Hazel too, since she's like a virus, spreading a glitch in the train's code, causing phone booths, college campuses, and turtles to appear in every car she passes through. Even if the turtle transformations are untreatable, I have a feeling Amelia would at least be able to reencode her enough to stop her from spreading a glitch. Hazel and Amelia both see themselves as mistakes, and I have a feeling One-One does too (at least, Sad-One does), but as they traverse the train they could learn that you can't always fix your problems, but you can always learn from them. And if Amelia exits the train, Hazel could stay with One-One, or maybe even Grace, whatever she's up to.

I have a theory: the higher your number is the faster your soul gets sucked by the ghoms, witch would explain how simon died so quickly compared to grace, but then again tulip was dying kinda fast in the grid car so idk.

simon’s body did the entire decomposition cycle in 2 seconds, tulip’s body would have taken atleast a full 30 seconds so it’s way slower

I really wanna see what happens to Grace when her number drops to 0. Personally I feel that she's been on the train to long that it would be to weird for her to get use to life back in the normal world. Also with her new understanding of how to train works I think she would make a great dean mother for all the younger passengers. So we've dealt with a dissension who wanted to get off the train time to deal with a passenger who wants to stay on and help others.

What if in book 4, we are introduced to a child that reminds Samatha of Simon. But the child/teen is already going down a path similar to Simon, but due to their life prior to the train. They are already messed up, their number already being higher than what we've seen a passenger start off with (but not too high that it can't be lower by the end of the book, Grace's number was high, but it went down pretty fast but not in a totally unrealistic way). Samatha would think that there is a glitch with their number since the child would have just entered the train and most passengers start off with a number in the range of 0 - 999 (Since the little symbol that frames the number doesn't extend to include numbers larger than 3 digits as shown with Simon and Amellia). Samatha would then consider taking the child to One-One, or the numbers car, to have it checked but ends up coming across Amellia and Hazel. The child's one issue that they have to work through could pertain to adults like Amellia, like their mother or father treated them as a burden or mistake that shouldn't exist and wrote them off as worthless (If they really want to be dark the child's birth could have resulted in the death of their mother and the father could have spent years resenting them and telling them they "killed" their mother. That they shouldn't have been born if it meant she would still be alive). This would allow Amellia, in a matter of fact way, to reassure the child that it wasn't their fault and that they do have value in the world. Amellia would tell him, and Hazel, about her BF and explain that some things are just out of our control and no matter what we try to do, we can't turn back time (hinting are her time as the conductor, Samatha's regret of leaving Simon, and Hazel's lost of Tuba). This would also allow Hazel to share her grief with losing Tuba and show Amellia that she is more human than code. (They wouldn't meet with One-one but he would be alluded to to set up for book 5 as the book would focus more on not blaming yourself for things you can't control or becoming what people make you to be (such as a mistake or "killer" as the child and Hazell would be grappling with the feeling of being what others view them as) )

I love the discussions and got the HBO Max trial soley to binge the entire series to reinforce how important a book 4 is, but also *dangit I don't need to see Simon's death another 15 times, it was freaky enough the first time.*

Honestly I feel like the ghoms are denizen without code. We know the orbs are responsible for thing in the cars a bit like lignes of codes in a video game. And if you zap a ghom with this « code » you can create any kind of denizen!

Simon was my favourite character in this season.👌

That's pretty much a given. The question is the extent of her involvement. Book 1 had her as a secondary antagonist to Tulip, while she was a one off character in Book 2. Now that we have some backstory in Book 3, she could become a central character. Or, they could drop everything, and start with a new cast of characters.

that’s actually what happen to book 1 and 2. the tulip story and lake story were made together as “season one” but Cartoon Network made them split it into book one and book 2. so it would make sense if book 3 had a counter part just like book 1

2:42 technically, you CAN have an infinity between two points/numbers-- for example between 1 and 2 there's: 1.5, 1.25, 1.125, and an infinitum of smaller fractions/decimals. Mathematically it'd be: [1 < x < 2] or [1≤ x ≤ 2]

I always take the opportunity to voice my theory about the train, that it was created by human beings in the future in a last-ditch effort to avert the apocalyptic wasteland by capturing people from the past and rehabilitating them in order to create a more positive outcome. I furthermore imagine that once the probability of the train's timeline's existence reaches zero that it will cease to exist, and that the denizens will be saved through a climactic effort to evacuate them onto present-day Earth through its own massive portal (or series of portals).

I'm telling you right now the next protagonist is a kid who has no parents. The reason I say that is because the next theme is going to be about moving forward at a dead end. I can feel it!

Samantha and Amelia duo we NEED THAT

I can see book for involving the anger and frustration of having to deal with passengers. Imagine how many of them were killed and or hurt becuase of them? For good or bad we see the minor-drastic effect a passenger has on cars and the denizens that live in them. A rebellion against passengers would be a good plot to book 4

What if Hazel is the training making an anomaly from a turtle to give Amelia a what if daughter to help lower her number. The reason why the number not lit is to give Amelia a good task and goal to improve herself. Also I think the Ghoms explodes because when it sucks you it takes the number of years your number, feeding off you and eat the rest. So because Simon was so big that even his bones disintegrated maybe overwhelmed the Ghom as he couldn't suck to match the number so he paid the price. At least that's what I think...

I think Simons death was very not asked for and done only for shock value. I mean, if the train is supposed to help you and the ultimate goal is to get out, why does it kill the passengers?

I personally think that when the Gome takes the soul of someone it gains the power of their number, and since Simon had such a high number it couldn’t handle the power and ended up exploding, it’s like when you eat too much food and feel like you’re going to explode lmao, that’s just my “theory”

I mean one-one did say all passengers have a number, and denizens DON'T It could be possible for amelia to save the train by bringing her to one-one, show that she has a number and.. BAM he'd open her a portal he was tricked before after all xD.

I definitely expect to see more about Bugle and possibly Tuba's other kids since we have no idea what actually occurred with them. I don't think Grace will ever want to leave the train. I see her voluntarily staying to help passengers and keep the train running, especially if Amelia eventually leaves or dies. The train is Grace's home now and everyone who she loves and who loves her is there. Also, Simon and Hazel both left her with unresolved issues.

I love ya Whitney! I have no clue what to expect from next season so I am just gonna wait for Owen and the team to ef my brain up!

Here's something to think about if they ever do a book 4. There seems some logic error, but maybe things just need more explanation: 1) In book 3 the cat said she hasn't had a vacation since 150 years. Meaning she is at least already 150 years on the train. That means she had plenty of time to figure out that the pessenger's numbers must go down in order to allow them to leave, also that they must emotionally grow. 2) About 8 years ago she met Simon and Simon said they traveled a few months together. Kinda weird Somins number wasn't down by then, but okay lets see it was pretty high when he entered the train. In all those months with the Cat she must've taught him about the numbers and what they do 3) But when he is saved by Grace he is immediately impressed by her high number and later when the cat tells him numbers must go down it seems like this is totally new to him. I mean if the cat would've said "Well I TOLD you so back then." and he just stopped believing her because he was abandoned by her this would make sense. In conclusion: the way things are I don't understand why Simon spent months with the cat who has lived on the train for god knows how long, but seemingly didn't know that the numbers on his hand need to go down and that this has to happen through emotional growth. At least that his number is supposed to go down is something the cat should have taught him. If there is any way to fill that logic hole in Infinity Train book 4 and explain why this all still works then please do so. Thanks. :)

My theory is that Simon was not SUPPOSED to die. And now everything is going to Hell. The basic idea is the entire train is a giant computer. While it gives the humans the basic feeling of danger ultimately protects them from sustaining lethal injuries. It does this cleverly through causality of the in-machine universe. For example if a human goes flying off the train they'll end up getting carried back by origami birds they interacted with earlier. Try as you might you can not kill a human in this thing. Something will always happen to prevent it. (Denizens are not as fortunate.) This is how it should work. Something happened and Simon died. He was not supposed to die and was the first human to die in the existence of the machine. Maybe the mechanisms just could not predict the randomness of human behavior? For example being saved by his former friend should have been the end of it and the turning point. It was all set up to be like this as far as the literal deus ex machina guided Simon to this path. This malfunctioned. The gohm reappeared and maybe the original idea was 'friends work together to stop it'. At that moment Simon wrestled control away from the machine and this killed him. It was like he unstrapped himself from the car in the Haunted Mansion ride and started blundering into the animatronic displays. Only to be pulled into the gears or something. The gohm had a kill routine programmed into it for some reason but this was not fully implemented and functioning correctly because it was never supposed to be used. And since it was used the gohm 'crashed'. This was not a case of 'gohm just choked on all of Simon's rotteness and died'. It was a systemic malfunction. *#DIV**/0!* I think this has some interesting implications because this could lead to a cascade failure careening out of control and thus an existential threat to the train, the denizens and humans alike.

I don't if there is a Book Four,but if there was one,I think the main characters will Amelia and Hazel and then they'll be another passenger on the train.Honestly,if you think about,if there is a living person on the train who plays a minor character,they will be one of the main character in the next season and they'll meet another person)who will be the passenger)and then they would also becomes friends and the main character:its like a pattern.And since Hazel and Amelia left in Season 3,they probably be the main characters in Season 4,if it comes out.

I see you didn’t pay attention to what Amelia said about the quarantining of the cars. They are cars tagged by Amelia that are sent to the back so people don’t see them because one one didn’t want to get rid of them after what Tulip said in the unfinished car. The reason cars she didn’t touch went to the back is because Hazel got tagged every time Amelia did a scan. Her calling it a glitch is because it’s code and new cars were being tagged.

And if your wondering most likely they get salvaged if they become defective based on what we heard from what Amelia said about their conversation and one ones reaction when he saw the unfinished car.

My theory about book 4 sees to be fairly different from others. So i thought I’d share. So ep7 always has introduced the next MC so it features 2 characters, Amelia, which is what everyone is saying. But the other character was the cat or Samantha. Although unlikely this could be an interesting idea so this is my beginning. Ep1 general idea is the Samantha learns of simons death right and obviously she felt bad for what she did to simon. Well its kinda said in the episode and implied as well. So at the end of ep1 or beginning of ep2 you meet the passenger who meets Samantha when arrived. They’re similar to simon but a bit different. Samantha is given the choice of wether to leave them so she wont do what she did before or she can fix her mistake and try again. She picks the second option and this also gives a chance to dive deeper into Samantha. At some point in the latter half of the book a ghom will show up and this will give Samantha the chance to make it right with a new passenger and make her feel like she redeemed herself. This will also give flashbacks to simon who we didn’t get any real flashbacks for in book 3. Like i said before this is unlikely to happen but if it did I believe it would turn out to be an excellent book if done right. This is just my theory and if y’all don’t mind I’d like a bit of feedback to this.

My theories: Ghom are a sort of natural Denizen of the wasteland. The ghom were always there and will always be there. The reason the wasteland is so desolate is because the ghom consume life force with their soul suck stuff. The reason Atticus turned into a Ghom is because Amelia fired the gun in a mode which basically made whatever it hit revert back to its normal state/lose any effects the train had given it. This is because my theory is that the train can make environments with orbs, however they cannot make denizens: those are created by taking a Ghom and zapping them with a ray that reconfigures them into a denizen. This would explain why MT was able to leave: because they’re a Ghom given sentience by the train, but they have no particular obligation to *stay* there

I like the reset theory, When a passanger dies on the trains a clone is created of when the passanger first enter and thats other reason why memoried are stored, that way it could create interest interaction betwen new Simon with Hazel, Grace, Amalia, Samantha and others

What if Simon turned into a gome? I mean, Atticus turned into one. Maybe something similar with Simon had happened. I think the next season will explain the Gomes. Plus, it would leave room to explain why Hazel looks like Simon and the possibility of turning all of the Gomes back to normal.

My Theories are 1. Hazel and Amelia will leave together at the end of book 4 Amelia will take care of Hazel in the real world since by then she will have moved on from losing her love and learned she can make a new life with hazel. 2.Samantha will start off a enemy of Amelia but learn she really did change after all does she not say something about that? 3.Apex will be shown and grace will talk to Hazel (I'm hoping Grace talks about how in a way she killed Simon since his number was so low before he joined her don't get me wrong we are responsible for what we do but her influence sent him down a dark path.) But that is it for me.

The orb within the gun had to have contained some sort of Golm DNA. Considering that Tulip needed a Corgi orb in order to turn Atticus back and as a result morphed numerous inanimate objecte into Corgi version items as well as Corrupted Atticus. Is it possible theres a car home to Golms to which the orb that morphed Atticus originated from?

What to expect for Infinity Train Book 4? My Fan Fiction Theory: Maybe having Patton Oswalt to voice portray a protagonist similar to Minecraft Story Mode's protagonist Jesse (the male version). Maybe adding a self-discovery story, with a four year time jump after Book 1, where the 18 year old Protagonist (adopted by farmers or survivalist) was dealing with amnesia, insomnia and bipolar since the age of 8. And he was taken by the Infinity Train, to discover who he really is. Upon arriving, the protagonist soon discover he was Amelia’s long lost perfect creation, an adaptive human-like android that almost resembled to her late husband (either inspired by: T-1000, Amazo, Bicentennial Man) made up of smelted magical mirror glass and unique polyalloy with other previous conductor robot parts. And the reason why he’s been dealing with the mental disorders was because his Central Processing Unit had a glitch and corrupted gaining self-awareness. Amelia and Hazel may as well appear in Book 4, and maybe Tulip.

the voice actress for grace was on "The Good Place" and im so happy things i like are coming together :D

I think season 4 will be centred around a new protagonist and Samantha the cat most likely she will go to where she first met Simon and morn his death where she finds another person and tries to help them find someone else but ultimately accepts she has to be there helper. It would be interesting if they focused on the denizens of the train not someone like lake who was recently made but older ones who are aware of the trains intricacies.

If you watch the clip of the ghome closely, you can see on the bottom left before it explodes it has a red and yellow stripe.

Christian Steger when it explodes, I viewed it frame by frame and it appeared to have something like a yellow liquid inside of it - which is assumably simon’s essence, or rather, life. I find it pretty interesting, seeing as when the gohm explodes, there’s no residue left over. I really hope this isn’t the last we see of Simon - despite most of the fandom believing he’s dead. He had an insane build up, and is one of my favourite antagonists in cartoon history. Plus, this is a magical train and we don’t exactly know why the gohms devour the life force of humans on the train, nor what happens when they die - since the place seems to be metaphysical.

I really hope we find out more about the Gohms next season, it just terrifies me that this means there were more people like Simon who died

I hope next season is about amelia, Im looking forward to get to know amelia’s story, gosh I really really really hope to watch next season

My theory ever since episode eight is that Hazel might not be an attempt to recreate Aulric, but rather an accidental attempt at creating the future they planned for. I think Hazel might be Amelia's daughter, via the broken cars. If this is the case, I'd love to see what that would mean for their relationship.

My theory for what will happen to grace is that her number will reach 0, but she’ll stay on the train just to help out the kids that come across the mall cart. Maybe because she’s sacrificed her freedom, she might have a negative number

Hazel and Samantha unite the denizens for revenge against the Apex, Amelia has to prevent the Denizen-Passenger war from destroying the train. Amelia's gotta do something big to get that number down.

If we do get that season 4, I hope that Amelia and Hazel can both leave the train and allow Amelia to become a (someone blunt and emotionally distant) caretaker to Hazel. So basically I just wanna see Amelia become a grumpy momma bear.

What i want in book 4 is for Tuba to come back as another brass instrument maybe a monkey who's has a trumpet or a Slow Loris that plays the trombone! ik this sounds wack but hopefully she can be reincarnated

I feel like the leader for the new Apex will once again be the person with the highest BUT not as you might think. I think this because the person with the highest number would be on the train longer than the other members of the Apex so they can look after the other members. I would also love to see Hazel run into Samantha and tell her “Simon? That son of a B**** is dead”

It’s easy to imagine tuba becoming a gohm, but it becomes harder to think that denizen as simple as roy or an origami bird becoming one. All gohms come roughly the same size, so by the theory that denizens turning to gohms becomes wilder. That also means bugle may have already been reincarnated.

I would at least like to see either Tulip or Lake in Book 4, even if it’s just a cameo of a picture or a scene of one of them.

Theory when people get a number their pumped full of radiation energy that also fuels the train. The goms live off that energy so the higher number the bigger meal the gom was too full so it blew up. Notice how when the gom attacked grace it was nibbling her like a snack then it scarfed Simon down.

Personally, I hope that the origins of the Train, or what the Train really is, isn't explained. It would ruin the mystery surrounding it.

The train is possibly like the uncountable infinity which means that it has a start and end but the middle keeps on going like the decimals between 1 and 2 we can keep counting like 1.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.................................. and so on till we reach ..................00000000001 and so on so the train could still be infinite or just super large.

Theory: The new character is a fish with legs

I wanna give my little idea of what a season could look like. A young woman (in her mid twenties) named Sarah who was a doctor in the real world is on the train because she blames herself for letting someone very close to her (I’ll say her sister) die of an illness. But Sarah doesn’t want to leave the train, so for the past couple years, she’s been helping the denizens in a certain hospital themed car, but refuses to help passengers because of what happened in the real world. One day, she decides to go outside of the hospital car to find more denizens to help, until she comes across a man named Dan (who’s in his early thirties), a very recent passenger who’s on the train because he was in a deep depression due to accidentally getting a young boy killed via gunshot (he was in the mafia). Dan also had with him a baby boy who he found and named Katie (short for Katelyn), who doesn’t have a number at all. Sarah decides to bring Dan with her just because Katie has grown attached to him and to figure out why she doesn’t have a number. Along the way the two form a close bond with each other and kind of become Katie’s parental figures. Dan’s number would be at 67 and Sarah’s would be at 26 (it started at 68 but went down due to her help in the hospital car, but can’t go fully down until she stops blaming herself for her sister dying)

Bit of a crack theory here, but my current hunch is that the ghoms are turned into denizens by the train's guns because the guns are powered by the numbers. As the passengers get over their issues, the raw humanity that the numbers represent is filtered into the train as an energy source, which is partially used to hold off the ghoms and to convert them into more stable beings, with the spheres used to define their eventual natures. The reason the ghom that attacked Simon blew up is because his number had grown larger than it could contain, and without a system filtering it the ghom kinda overloaded. Mind you, I came up with all this in only the last 10 minutes, so I could be WAY off.

I really hope they'll be a Season 4 of Infinity Train this show is great

I think the reason the ghomes explode is because they consume your number as well. The larger your number the more you fill them. Because simons number was so big it overloaded and died

I feel if hazel is able o reunite with the apex I hope she’ll (maybe not Amelia) joins them.and all learn how to express themselves.and once grace and hazel will be able to leave the train I would love to see them live together and grace yelling at her parents

I have a feeling Amelia will redeem herself. That child is hers and Ulrich, indirectly. She said it herself, a few points here and there really isn't progress but with this child she'll be taking huge chunks of her prison time off.

Owen said that they have 8 stories. Which means that we can have 8 books! Or maybe some of the stories would be literally books, or movies, perhaps.

Y’know, I just can’t hate Simon. It’s not his fault that he was raised on the view that the Denizens are NPCs (like a video game) instead of living creatures. Imagine the “warped into a video game” kind of plot, where the MC defeats the enemies and demons and so forth. Then someone just up and tells you “Hey, they have families and they’re alive, you’re a murderer and your world is a lie.” At least (I forgot the other Apex’s leader’s name, forgive me) Grace(?) grew up with the mentality that she made up that truth. It’d be much easier for someone to break that falsehood than their established truth, like Simon had to. He never knew that she came up with that story, therefore it was one of the only truth he could really believe in. No lingering doubts about if it was wrong. He was gone as soon as that worldview shattered and his only tie to stability betrayed his trust. Also, the Apex children still have time to decide their views, unlike Simon who already was nearing being an adult with that mindset. They have time to change. I can’t like him, but I can’t hate him. If he had a proper teacher or at least someone with actual knowledge on how the train worked, he wouldn’t have ended up like this. I’ll give him an F for respects.

I think it’d be cool if in book 5, it started out in the real world, and then the passenger gets on the train and then he or she just so happens to find whatever the back door plot of book 4. Basically I’m saying if book 5 had a similar opening to book 1 or something. BUUUUT that’s probably not what they’re going for. Like it’s not their style. Something else cool would be if the last episode ever took place on earth for the second half of the episode. Like the reverse of the first episode when tulip got on the train. To parallel the first episode.

I think I can still be called an infinity train. Yes it has a front and back but it's also always expanding, so if those rails go on forever it can in theory expand infinitely.

I'm hoping that Hazel and Grace see each other and we get to see the numbers of Grace and the other Apex members go down and like we finally get to see Grace reunite with her parents because shes been on that train for like six years now...

The infinity in the infinity train is a self-contained infinity. Meaning that there are physical boundaries to the outside but the inside is infinite.

Simon will take over the train but hide what he is as he is the one thing he hated most now. He will be reborn are made into something by the cat but most likely reborn as they learn that the npc`s are people with high numbers. Maybe he was reborn in the green smoke and did run off seeing what he had become. I think they forget more and more until a full on npc`s, Are he wakes up in the real world and does push a kid out of the way to get back on.

I mean even if denizens leave, one-one is constantly creating new ones along with the carts

Maybe his parents wanted Simon to stop playing leader with his toy soldiers and grow up like his siblings (if he had siblings), and he got mad to the point of hating being told what to do, hating adults, and hating the thought of becoming one. So Simon was basically a damn baby whose parents wouldn’t let him play with his dolls, and was put on the train to learn that he must grow up for not for his parents or any other adults but for himself. But he was to stubborn to learn and decided to go psycho.

I saw in a video that had explained a bit about their own theroy on why Simon was on the train. They said that in one of the episodes (the one where Hazel was trying to morn Tuba's death by having a funeral for her), that Simon said something along the lines of "funerals are is just a place for people to morn and then after bring casseroles to your house afterwards" (I'm sorry I can't remember the quote fully right, but it was something like that). Since what Simon said was fairly specific it kind of concludes to the idea that he had to experience a funeral before in his life, and probably for someone that was very close to him who had died (like a parent, grandparent, sibling or like a friend). He was probably put on the trains since he couldn't move on from that point at all and didn't really know who to continue life normal. In the show, we've seen Simon been kinda "needy" in the since that he becomes quite dependent on the people that he becomes close to (like at frist with Samantha the cat and eventually then Grace), so this might also mean that he might have abandonment issues. He wasn't understanding towards Samantha, even though she tried to explain her best on way she accidentally abandoned him when he was little. He also wasn't understanding towards Grace, even though she also tried to explain to Simon why she had an extreme change of heart on caring for Hazel. There was a couple other moments on the show where it had showed more movements of Simon of having abandonment issues too. So in conclusion he was probably put on the train because of not liking or being able to deal with changes in his life and also maye because he has abandonment issues
